I've had a spot since being prescribed bactrim for a uti. It got pretty big. For the last month I've used a castor oil pack on it. The results have been good! I did not want to go back on plaquenil and this has been a great alternative.

I have those lesions and was told it's psoriasis. I also get the plaques aside from those circle ones and have scars from the circle ones on my legs and upper abdomen.

You say the hair don’t grow back but mine grew back. I had 5 spots on my scalp and my hair has grown back. Granted my hair growing extra slow and I have to work a little harder to get it looking like something but it’s here

Ive been diagnosed with Discoid Lupus and Systematic Lupus with the butterfly lesion on my cheeks and other symptoms. I've had RA 30+ YRS. I believe that I also have Drug induced Lupus. Hashi, Cushing's and Sjodren's.

I think with all the info you are giving, is that my sister might have lupus... She has hair loss, fatigue, and occasionally gets these rashes. But she only gets them when it's cold

I was just diagnosed with Sjogren's and Discoid Lupus as a 33yo white male. The Sjogren's is pretty severe (fatigue, joint pain, etc). Positive ANA (1:1280, maxed out the titer) and SSA+ / SSB+. Bio mother has SLE, but my DS DNA was negative. Any other dudes out there finding themselves as statistical anomalies?

I am a woman of color and an RN. I hit my head on the edge of a metal shelf while helping a patient about 2 years ago. I saw a bald spot sometime later and after testing I have been diagnosed with Discoid Lupus by a dermatologist. I believe it’s the result of trauma otherwise I don’t have any other rashes or lesions anywhere else. I wanted to find information as to whether this is permanent or will it ever resolve.

Thank you for sharing this information. My neuro diagnosed me with ANNA(antinuclear antibody). Sometimes, more often than not, when I go out in the sun or get near a warm/hot surfaces, even next to other persons I get hot flashes. In the sun I get swelling on my body, red face and it feels like needle sensation on my body. Doctors never prescribed anything bc they said that I have asthma and it's the same side affects.. I didn't know you can't be in the sun if you have asthma.. so they prescribed me with meds for asthma disregarding all the possibilities for lupus. All though every thing happened on my thirties

I have had SEVERAL tests to see if I have auto immune issues all NEGATIVE .Last week another battery of tests fir autoimmube ( last test I had HIGH B 12 ( 2000) and finally I am seeing my neurologist to go over my result . It took MONTHS to receive a rheumatologist mine is not until the END of May .Yet I get red rashes on my face when I take a shower, only in the morning the " butterfly " rash ( patches ) burning. The only oddity when I take an allergy pill they disappear in a half hour. I do have tanglina, neuopathy in my fingers arm sometimes in my feet .Very rarely joints ache at night in more like they lock .Inflamation eye and periodic dandruff with hair stands coming out . I am at my wits end...I all I want is an answer to know of this inflamation issue or dermatitis skin allergy issue or something else. I get cokd sometimes and fatigue and I do have a nodulevon my thyriod .

I’m a patient of discoid lupus started in 2009. Never got diagnosed to 2014 many attacks but still my nose flares itches and peels. Out of curiosity.. Have you encountered any Hidradenitis Suppurativa at your practice? I know it’s not considered auto immune but it’s widely known as “auto inflammatory” ?? Anywho, I’m an unfortunate sufferer since I was around 18 (32 now) :/ and I whole heartedly believe it is auto immune or related and due to a recent bout of heavy hair loss, joint pain, rash, coupled with a looong list of symptoms I’ve had since about 23 years old I am getting my own blood work done through a lab, an ana, rheumatoid factor, inflammation marker, a few thyroid test, and a basic comprehensive physical blood panel.. I don’t have medical insurance and I make just a bit too much to get government assistance. I’m rambling at this point but I WILL figure out what’s going on with my body and I will be my own advocate insurance or no insurance and I’ll prove it’ not anxiety or “all in my head”

Have discoid lupus. I get flares on my face and now my arms and legs . I am also now suffering from bad migraines and joint pain. My hairs starting to thin and fall out. The drs say it's just doscoidal but idk its not just my skin. From all this I'm starting to feel severely depressed as well. Certain foods can also trigger symptoms as well as sun and oddly screens . 😔 trying to stay positive but its hard.
