Isn't dutch style kickboxing a combination of muay thai, boxing and kyokushin karate And does it teach you muay thai clinch, elbow and boxing footwork? And should i learn Boxing and. Muay thai separately or learn dutch style kickboxing? And is it good for self defense?

You do learn adapted version of boxing footwork, just adapted for the different ruleset And should i learn Boxing and. Muay thai separately or learn dutch style kickboxing? - Whatever floats your boat my dude. I 've done about 18 years of Muay thai, and Dutch kickboxing here in the Netherlands. It suits me. And is it good for self defense? - Sure is. But every combat sport (that pressure tests) is good for self defense.

One thing to keep in mind about Dutch style, it's a style that often sacrifices A in order to get B where B is better than A. But the sacrificing A part before you're used to it.. SUCKS expect to be soar from head to toe, for 80% of the time in your first 8 months. XD But I think it's worth it

It's perfected kyokushin. There are very few muay thai elements.

@@hellbow1851 It came fom Kyokushin + muay thai 🤡. Dutck kb can be traced back to Kenji Kurosaki,who developed his style of kickboxing when he got KO'd by a thai, and thus cross trained in Muay Thai to compete against them, eventually teaching it to Jan Plas who taught it to the Dutch.

LOl you an idiot or something? Karate is just kickboxing including muay thai but with elbows, knees and clinching. There are only 5 types of Hand to hand Combat styles: Boxing, Kickboxing, Wrestling, and Grappling.

No because it is Dutch and it's also kickboxing so it should be called Dutch kickboxing. And "full contact karate to the head and with gloves" doesn't exactly have a ring to it
