I'm studying mechanical engineering but have a lot of course mates who do aero. For tips I would generally say it varies depending on where you're applying as my experience has solely been in the UK. But a tip would 100% be get used to making plans and setting yourself reasonable deadlines to get work done earlier rather than later because, either due to the nature of the work or because of events that occur in your personal life, you will hit issues and setbacks and you don't need the stress of it all when it comes to your final deadlines

@@YoungEngineer22 what would you say I should do in my summer that would increase the chances of me getting into Sheffield cuz I've just completed year 12 and don't know what to do in the summer holidays and overall would you say engineering is worth it I've heard from alot of people it's not worth the stress and pain and the salaries aren't that good atleast on a graduate level

@@abdullahashraf8249 the graduate salaries are creeping up. Don’t worry to much about the graduate salary. Compared to other countries the UK might pay less for the profession, but the quality of life is generally regarded as higher than other countries where the salaries are higher. But that’s very politics based...best way to improve your chances of getting into uni and getting a job post uni are to do internships and summer placements or industrial placements which last a year

Engineering is the realm of solving problems. The practice discovers problems, the theory provides solutions, those are the 2 sides of engineering. Everything in engineering comes down to working through or around an obstacle, and trying to optimise and compromise. p.s. im not an engineer

Pretty well said for someone who’s not an engineer!
