If anyone was smart. Any instructional video in the beginning is basically an understanding of what your trying to teach. From my perspective, you did just that. You gave insight on what you've developed. Very informing. Hope to see more tutorials soon. And love your creativity
Thank you for bringing in foundation in this sub-style of tutting. Its nice to finally get some clarification on what face tutting is since a lot of people claim to do it.
Those of us who are visual artist, understand this perfectly I’ve been professional caricature artist for over 20 years and we use these planes with the face and these ankles to put together our exaggerated caricatures. The expression we use is called plains of the face. I am aand old school titter and liquid dancer from back in the rave days. Excellent tutorial very well explained and demonstrated
You can’t do liquid with the head, and I believe part of the face too using the technique known as “contouring“ which is just tracing a lines of the body. If it can be done with the Torso arms legs you can easily be done with the face once you know the shapes that you’ve talked about
If you made another tutorial CTUT can you teach us how to get out finger flexible enough??.. Because some peoples fingers won't make those angles or it's very hard to made them because they don't bend like yours. ... So can yu teach us how you got yours fingure so flexible!:).... But great video Ctut
great breakdown! You have a very systematic understanding of your style, it should enable you to improve and build on it for as long as it remains interesting to you. I think with this video, you have also planted your flag and established that you are doing an original style. However, I don't like your designation of the facial control as face animation. What you are doing is facial isolation, even if speed control is incorporated I still would not consider that animation. A lot of the new school uses the term animation generally to refer to speed control, isolation and basically any illusional style. I prefer the original usage, vibration and strobbing at the same damn time. Not saying you're wrong, just giving you my view on this semantic distinction. Note that it's not quite pure semantics, because I think that adopting the more general usage of the term animation makes it less likely that people will learn the very specific skillset required to perform the original version.
So.. I realized something. I can't face Tut because my fingers aren't flexible enough. :| I've checked friends of mine, their finger joints are much better at going side to side, I'd love to learn this style. It's so interesting. I'll just stick with regular style Tutting.
WOAH.. had NO clue he's gay.I was a fan, for years...... had no clue he was gay.. ummm.. weird and odd he has or had a gf?? It's 2016!! If he hasn't come out yet, that is pretty-extremely-reeealllly dumb.. because he portrays this "peace and love, be yourself, treat everyone yada yada assess" attitude. Then come to find he's GAY and not being honest and will ultimately shock and upset or hurt someone like his "gf". Damnit Cbut
