Two things that would have KILLED me if I didn’t mention them- - make sure Maria’s okay before you head to the underground maze. (You may need to check her twice, or three times.) - the ghost in the bedroom was looking for her daughter. The ghost in the archives was looking for her mother. The same ghost from the archives left a pendant behind. Perhaps the ghost in the bedroom and the ghost in the archives are connected! Maybe the mother would like the pendant.
Mad Father, Ib, and The Witch's House were my trifecta entry into RPGMaker games, and I'm so excited for you to experience them! It's so nostalgic for me. I hope you enjoy Mad Father!
I just want to clarify one thing: Ogre is not a German name, it is just as weird sounding in German like it does to you xD Really cool that you are eventually playing this game! Was hoping to see you play it sometime.
I remember watching playthroughs of the original game years ago. I knew there was a remake but never gotten around to seeing it, the pixel art looks so good here!
Mad Father! It's been so long! I'm glad you're playing this, Mike! And if you're playing this, you gotta play the whole pack--Ib, the Witch's House, Misao, and the Strange Men series--especially the Witch's House!
OH. MY. GOD. MAD FATHER?? I was SO shocked when I saw the notification. Mad Father was really nostalgic to me, because my sisters used to play a fan song for Mad Father.
So glad youre playing this. Theres so many rpg horror games that have been updated but havent seen the light again. Hoping you play more of these bangers!
Very interesting and the game is really cool and is pretty dark be prepared for everything that happens in this game it’s shocking to say the least , Incredible playthrough SuperHorrorBro of Mad Father have a marvelous day
I love seeing Mike playing old games, there are so many I'd love to see him play! Other than that, I'm excited to see him continue to upload other parts of his play-through of Mad Father in the near future :D
I got so excited seeing this pop up on my recommended feed. I remember watching Markiplier play this. This game is really good, and even if you don’t film getting all the endings, they’re really worth seeing. Also another game rec, that’s kinda similar to this one, is Ib. It takes place in an art gallery and has very similar vibes to this game.
Ah, I freaking called this xD I legit wondered few days ago if you would ever play a pixel RPG game like Mad Father, it's such a classic. Also few tips, if you go back to the master bedroom (or the parents' bedroom) and stand by the window where you saw the ghost, use the pendant and get a nice reward. And also, check on Maria too, I dunno if they changed it into one time, but check three times and you'll find something that would lead you to a place you were earlier, but unable to enter ^w^
I love that game; there are others like it, Ib, Misao, and The Witches House, they are all so good, and I am happy to see that they get updated with better graphics and art than being left to collect dust, even if they do leave it I still love those games. These games are basically the type where, no matter what, there will be a way to die, some will let you take damage, but all in all, most are one-hit kills. Another like this would have to be Mario and the Music box (I haven't finished it, the one ending with Mario and Luigi angst made me leave from watching, and I just haven't come back to it) I hope you do a story explained of this and the others; they are so good; I remember when Markiplier played these, I watched Mark play all of these (except Mario and the Music Box).
I love RPG maker games! They have such interesting and in-depth stories; I find it so fascinating/amazing how they can retain the horror in a pixel style game. I hope to see you do more games in the future like Ib, Witch's House, Corpse Party, Angels of Death, Crooked Man, etc.
my gosh the nostalgia is hitting me so hard. a lot of these older games were popular back when I was still in high school and I'm so glad that a handful of them got remakes as of recent! hope to see more from you! I know "Ib" recently got a remake so that might be a good one to visit.
This game looks amazing, and the story is quite intriguing. I have so many questions about this game now, that I can't wait for the next video. What was the mom sick from? Did Maria perhaps poison the mom to get her out of the way? What's with the father and his experiments? Why is he doing it? What is or was he trying to achieve? I'd say bring his wife back, but he might of been doing it before she died. Who is Ogre? Why does he have such pointy ears? What is he really after? For we all know that the salesman thing is total BS. Final and most important question, where did Snowball go?
_Thank you_ SuperHorrorBro for the videos that you make and especially the way that you make them. They fill my days with much desired enjoyment, as well as make the harder days of my life easier to endure. Seriously man, _thank you_ .
Hope you continue to delve into the RPG maker and similar horror games. Some of my favorites from years ago are this one, Ib, Misao, The Witch's House, and The Crooked Man. All super cool with fascinating stories to unlock. These games all have a similar strange vibe/feel about them that just makes you nostalgic even if you've never played them before. Too bad you really only focus on horror because To the Moon and other Freebird Games creations also give off this feeling (far from horror though)
Glad to see you playing this game! Definitely would also recommend the Witch’s House and Ib which all have recent remakes. I could have sworn you played this game, but better late than never! 👍
OMGGGG i remember when markiplier played this game! I loved it! I'm so glad youre getting into it! Good luck!! I look forward to watching the rest of your play through!!
I really can't wait for certain reactions for certain part of this game! I've really wanted someone to play this, that wouldn't be on a live stream, no offense but I can't take that pace. I'm really happy hat you've finally decided to play it, and I would love to see your input on this game afterwords.
Yaaaay, I love this game, it was one of my first rpg horror games. Others that are really good are Ib and OFF, though I rarely see content for the latter. OFF has a unique story line though, if you ever do play it on the channel a story explained video would be amazing!
AHHH I’m so happy, aya was my first ever cosplay years ago and this game holds a huge part of my heart, I’m so happy your playing this, and as the classic game has some more Gore and a bit more Grundy and dark, but the remake is just so pretty
I just got a blast from the past. This was the first gaming series I ever watched besides Minecraft. I have so many memories connected to this game and have reached the OG pewdiepie playthrough at least once a year since it got released, so I'm very very excited for this. Still have nightmares of the father saying "AAAAYYYAAAA"
What an absolute blast from the past this is. The amount of nostalgia I share with the rest of the comments is amazing. I love seeing that these games have been revamped and are on steam as well
I clicked so fast xD Really good game. I saw Markiplier plays this years ago so its nice to see this game again with a different player at its control xD
The German word written in blood in the hallway before burning the dolls at 38:08 is "dein vater morder," which roughly translates to "your father is a murderer."
Its interesting to see the new (ish) version of it compared to what i remember. If you ever get to it you should also play the Witch's House, Ib, and Misao!! All are great horror rpgs as well :)
This really feels nostalgic to me as this was the very 1st horror game that I played and I really love it. I'm so glad your playing it and hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
After this, you should try a game called In Sound Mind. it's a horror game that messes with your mind (A phycological horror game.) It has some good jump scares and a good story, I LOVE to theorize about it! Also, there is a game called Prey. It is like an alien space-type game. Also, stealth and puzzles come in also.
My recomendation Mike for this game (without spoilers I swear) is that you look for the smallest of details, every reflection on any mirror, any doll (like on 20:51 ) can have a minuscule movement that can be outseen, for example the mirror that broke when you looked at it had your reflection with blood on her face or the doll blinked her left eye while you left her. I think these details will make you more inmersed into the game and you will enjoy it more if that is even possible ;P
The words written in blood in 38:10 says "Your father murder" in German although the word (Father/Vater) was missing its letter "r". It was not a full sentence. So to clarify: German: English: Dein - Your Vater - Father Mörder - Murder
I remember this game! But it’s so different to see the remastered version, since I remember watching Pewdiepie’s play through of the original one! But this feels so nostalgic to see this game again!
The Macabre Experiment is an analogue horror series by Stuffy studios about classic creepypastas like Candle Cove and Smile Dog. You can find it here on RU-vid.
The little boi with blonde hair looks like he is dio from the first part before the stands were introduced, in jjba. Only when his left eye was showing lololololol
