I also have FSHD muscular dystrophy and found this to be a very good well rounded explanation 😊 I always have a hard time trying to put to words what the disability encompasses, this will help me educate people better when someone asks about my disability, other than my usual response of my muscles just weaken over time 😅 It would be interesting to get a deeper understanding for myself about the genetics of the disability 😊

that's interesting. my mom actually tested and is positive and asymptomatic at 60. if i carry it, id also be asymptomatic at 30. my grandad was moderate, my moms cousin was moderate and two other aunts are asymptomatic. One great aunt died in her 60s or 70s with a dropped shoulder and my other aunt has extremely minimal symptoms if any in her late 40s.
