you should read the sonic bible from the classic series that was leaked years ago. its not canon anymore as of adventures but i guarantee you alot of it was carried over. including the chapter about the emeralds.

Here's a fact chaos emeralds also made the master mode and the master emerald see cancel beast like all the powers of different creatures in different world like all the other sonic games other creatures powers were sealed in the master emerald for example chaos but also this means that the chaos i'm also also see all different types of creatures monsters or demons so they all feel different types of creatures just like the master emerald itself like its eels chaos
