Its time to pack it up boys... Elden Ring DLC disappointing news.... Check out my new channel: / @joshprimeunfiltered #eldenringclips #eldenringgameplay #fromsoftware #fromsoftwaregames #fromsoft
AC6 just won best action game, FromSoft didn’t get snubbed and they wouldn’t be petty. FromSoft literally just won GOTY a year ago. So that’s a dumb theory, respectfully.
Honestly, I think it'd have been less disappointing if : 1) From released a free update like the coliseums (like a boss rush/revenge mode) OR 2) If Bandai stopped teasing with ER related tweets just before every gaming event (like they did with TGS). Also, what was the point of the steam update? The game hasn't gotten patches in a while.
The dlc probably will be the size of the game itself. Like massive. They did call it an expansion soo maybe will be getting more then just a few areas. Might get new mechanics. New map new story. A sequel that isnt a sequel seems like something miyazaki could do
Then just make a new fucking game, this is literal chode shit. Expand the studio to "take on multiple projects at once" and then make us wait 2 years on DLC with zero announced games on the horizon.
I doubt it can be as large. It took over 4.5 years to make Elden Ring. And let's be honest even that wasn't enough for them to properly fill up the game with content. With the exception of beastmen and a few bosses there are pretty much no new enemies after you defeat Morgott even though you still have like 20-25 hours left from the game with 2 legacy dungeons. I know they have more people and money at this point but I still think the most realistic expectation is 2 or 3 new area worth of content. I've read rumors about the DLC being the entire map redesigned as a "shadow world" but thankfully Lance McDonald already debunked that. I want completely new terrain and biomes. Even if we look back they've never did something like this except Darkroot Garden in the Artorias DLC but even that is just one part of the DLC. Edit: Now that I think about it even Altus and Gelmir offer very few new enemies. Leyndell soldiers and knights are basically just reskins so there are only the serpent men, wormfaces, crazy dancing ladies aaaand? That's roughly it.
@@valltrax4076no they wont lose interest but a dlc is not worth waiting that long when fromsoftware can just release a new game in that time unless the expansion is a big as the game, still it will be elden ring 1.5 and not somthing new.
Kinda but not really. We all KNOW From's dlc drops a year after the game. If you're waiting in anticipation for something that you KNOW won't come for at least a year, that's on you, a wasted year of waiting. No one got ER on release n said "oh man I can't wait for the dlc" cuz there was so much meat to the game. So technically you COULD say the wait is 3 years, but you're playin yourself for that first year. Silly goose.
I didnt expect a release date. But its just a DLC, I thought a trailer at the very least would be available so they could show its real. Its kind of absurd at this point
With Rise of the Ronin, I argue that Team Ninja are gonna give a combat gameplay lesson to the whole industry (Ghost of Tsushima, AC, even Santa Monica) minus From Software of course. That Nioh like gameplay but more realistic, polished, diverse and a probably a bit slower but still tight action. All in a great open world with stealth and grappling hook. Alongside Dragons Dogma 2 giving a lesson to the industry on a more RPG side.
@@lolknight4364 i'm having fun with armored core for answer more, fun combat, much faster pace, deep customizations, rich replayability, not too hard but not too easy just FUN game
If elden ring didn’t sell as much as it did I honestly don’t think we’d be waiting this long. I think the success is a big part of the wait for the dlc.
literally didn't know until last video that you're doing other channels too, it was a great surprise, I just got so used to the green channel logo an' all
This dlc is gonna be the base game size possibly way more diverse and epic from anything we’ve seen yet in the lands between cant wait ill be patient until after summer next year
The thing that really is upsetting is the longer the DLC takes the longer before they start on something new. It seems likely we won’t get Elden ring 2 or a new IP now until 2026 or 2027.
I been said it from the beginning that I think it would be a Summer or Fall 2024. The problem is almost 3YRS for a dlc is alarming because you would think their next title would be possibly close to done and maybe it is, but I’m just hoping that FromSoftware doesn’t turn into a Sony studio that takes 7yrs to release a game. Elden Ring took the longest because of its scope, but I would take more Sekiro or Bloodborne if it cuts the time in half to wait for their next game. 7YR development games is really stressful and insane.
Well, it doesn't look like they're really taking that long to release a new game (AC6), and they've been on a hiring spree lately so I wouldn't be too worry. Also, Elden Ring is a bit too big to just had a small DLC, I would just let them cook.
People who think that the expansion is gonna be half the game content are coping its probably going to be two legacy dungeons and 4 bosses which is fine but people are overestimating it i know its an expansion but expansions are never that big
The thing is that its a little lacking from formsoftware side, since now if they take 3 years which is 2025 for an expansion, i rather them to work on thier next project because this also means delaying of souls project as well. No matter how much time they take, an expansion cannot be as big as another new titled game and since dlc uses most of its core gameplay and graphics it would be a little disappointing if ER dlc is the only title for 2025. However if they release DLC and a new title in 2025 which is impossible in my opinion (because that would mean working on dlc and the new game together while new game should be an upgrade + releasing both a big dlc and a brand new game in same year will lose focus from both, thats why game devs wait atleast an year untill thier next project to make it the spotlight for a while). Thus 2 years time is fine for a big expansion in my opinion. While if its late 2024 release date window, then this would have been a perfect time to announce atleast a teaser for the game with 'late 2024' screen. I want new formsoftware game by 2025, not a dlc of 2022 title and wait for another year or two for a next new game.
Who decided that a dlc can't be as big as the base game. It's been 2 years so it probably will be the size of the actual game. No other real explanation
@thenobody7509 no one and yeah no other explanation really but point is that when fromsoftware can work on a new title given within that time with upgraded mechanics, features and graphics and from ground build up + new fresh idea, is a dlc really worth it for 3 years wait when it will use same assets and same core mechanics, just an 'expansion' of ER for 3 years is not good enough in my opinion. That is my point. I will still play it but it's disappointing that no new title for atleast 2026 or 2027 is coming out. Do you see what I mean, if fromsoftware can work up a new game within this time frame, what's the point for a dlc for that long.
@@izanazir7088 the issue with elden ring is they want to expand the universe. But miyazaki hates sequels therefore constant dlcs for the game will probably happen. They aren't just working on the dlc fromsoft tends to work on multiple titles at the same time actually. Elden ring sekiro and armored core 6 all were being done around the same time. ER in 2017 and sekiro in 2018. You'll get new titles. We'll probably get something in April and then it'll release the same year
3 years for an expansion means they can get a lot done sooner rather than making a new game from the ground up, reusing assets/mechanics from a previously made game is a shortcut to more content. A new game would mean 4 or more years. But this looks like it will only take a little over 2 years. And leaks already implied we have a new game in the works, idk how credible it is but most seem to think it's a legit leak. So im not sure what your comment is really conflicted with
@@izanazir7088 DLC don't use the same assets and they can change the core mechanics, also Fromsoft work on 3 projects at the same time, this mean at least one new game is in active development since before Elden Ring released, why do you think they will not release something new in 2026, 2027 or even 2025 ?
From is probably not gonna show us anything until the DLC is actually near its release date, because a DLC doesn't has the same pull as announcing a new game, so they probably would want to drop it like a bomb shell out-of-nowhere for maximum attention. They've been doing similar things (on the advertising side) for other games as well, and it worked.
"I want i want i want... me me me me" I know its tough, but patience is still a virtue. Other games exist. It has been announced, meaning its coming. Honestly, i think everyone complaining will complain about it when its released. ER was my first fromsoft game, having now played them all except for Demons souls, fromsoft has earned my trust. I think you all need a break from the internet and social media.
the dlc better be as big and content filled as the main game or it gonna be disappointing. if this is like a ds3 dlc it definitely an L already for taking this long.
really getting flashback when rockstar said they will show gta 6 soon that it took almost 2 year for them to show gta 6 i think at least fromsoftware is not as mysterious as rockstar and not as disconnected to players as them well i going to wait at least a 6month to year for some news on gta6 again and hopefully elden ring dlc at feb or summer game fest
Good for us it wasn't displayed yesterday, so Elden Ring won't be too associated with Baldurs Gate 3 in the people's minds. Yet it got a GOTY title, the comparison stops now.
@@r3gret2079 Because both are heroic fantasy and winning a GOTY. If FS showed the trailer yesterday, people would have talked about both games simultaneously and compared them even more. I like FS not willing to show its masterpieces the same day Baldur Gate 3 gets GOTY
@@joshprimegaming we all did..... but good on you for not wanting to mislead people n unlisting the video. Not a lot of people would do that, so right on. I appreciate you.
They probably pulled the trailer from the crap security on their award last year. Their big moment was stolen by some kid because they didn’t prevent it from happening
No one knows but they had to have it between December to March it is last 4 quarter in their financial years and way to long for normal people to actually care about game DLC in 3 years
I’d prefer they just shelve or morph the DLC into ER2 at this point if it’s not close to release. It seems like since sekiro they’ve gotten much slower at development. Makes Miyazakis comments about speeding up production schedule and multiple teams make more sense. It seems like AC6 just totally threw a wrench in their normal Game>DLC>next IP schedule. It was odd how it released before a DLC for a game already a year and a half old.
Maybe if Fromsoft dropped an armor dlc pack or something i wouldnt be pissed. Shitty AC6 slowed the development of ER dlc, I’m very close to being down with this game between shit armor & reskinned bosses
After the Bill Clinton kid, FROM said F that show. Geoff didnt visit FROM HQ to set up a Game Awards trailer. He went to offer his pinky finger as an apology. Miyazaki said he was too much of a whiteboy for that ritual & let him off with a warning
Yeah that kid was just disrespectful and Japanese culture value respect a lot, like on an absurdly high level. So I can totally see some senior devs or even Miyazaki himself not being happy with that.
at this point i feel like it will be cancled or it will be not worth the wait edit: btw if the dlc is only around the size of weeping it will be disapointing in my opinion cuz we have waited way too much i believe at this point dlc should be as big as lurina and limbgrave and weeping combined else waise it will be not worth the wait
@@Tobi9753 am not insulting them but it has been way to long thats why i think they may've got some issues while devoloping it so decided to cancel it or delay it and i said " i feel like "
The game was sort of mid and didn't sell that great. It was a mech action game and not very popular in the West like in Japan. No one is talking about it anymore like they would if it was their other games.@@joshprimegaming
I know people want this dlc badly, me included. But seriously, there are so many other great games to play in the meantime, stop whining and let them cook, it's gonna be a huge and amazing dlc, i'll gladly wait another year.
Not necessarily how that works, its possible they are having trouble adding elements to the game, some things may not be functioning properly, they may have broken or disapointing work happening, maybe the DLC is gonna be a normal size and they've been having a tough time in development.
You can't compare, cyberpunk literally released broke filled with bug and glitches so they spend have of the expantion develoment fixing the stupid game otherwise they'd released at least one year after the game launch. Elden ring wasnt perfect at realease ether but at least you can tell it was a finished game so fromsoft should take less time to devoloment.
@@YourFriendlyGymRat idk man the cyberpunk dlc was a pretty good size i don’t think that is a year of development but maybe I’m wrong who knows. I wasn’t comparing initial quality I think everyone knows who wins that lol
Lol remember when you said it was confirmed for 2023 🤣🤣🤣 well I can’t really blame you. I don’t think anyone besides myself , knew the scope of what’s to come. I’ve been saying this since 2 months before they dropped the shadow of the Erdtree picture, ER isn’t getting dlc. SOTE isn’t DLC. It’s an expansion, it’s closer to being its own game than it is to being content for ER. This is going to be massive. Like I’ve been saying all along, despite the leaks and rumors and the big RU-vid channels, despite all of that, i and I alone have been the only one saying expect a late late 2024 or early 2025 release date. This is going to be its own game. It’s not dlc.
Are you high? Everyone was saying 2023 release at first. Then they said TGA would show a trailer and we’d get a Feb release, and even still after nothing, people are huffing copium hard and saying spring or summer release. No one is saying 2025 except me and I’ve been saying it since before they ever announced the damn thing.

If it's true that FromSoft pulled the trailer because of Armored Core 6, than I completely agree with them. Armored Core 6 deserved AT LEAST to be nominated for best score, that they weren't nominated for that is outright CRIMINAL. And I honestly believe it deserved at least a shot at GOTY, even though it would've never beaten Baldur's Gate 3. So if that's actually true, massive respect to FromSoft and Miyazaki to tell those clowns that they will not accept disrespect. I have complete trust in them, and I know that this DLC will be better than 90% of the games that will come out in 2024 (except for Dragon's Dogma 2 of course)
given how shit the show was im glad it didnt show hell i wish mh had waited for its 20th anniversary event to show its game off alan wake bought its way to a performance of woke slop a swathe of nominations and wins it didnt deserve armored core got fucking snubbed hard so i can see why fromsoft didn’t wanna waste time w the game awards hell even ff14 got shafted for best ongoing and this is year 2/3 its been shafted and for a game (cyberpunk) that isnt even an ongoing game it was an unfinished chopped up rushed shit show that just sold everyone cut content as dlc people found as early as the launch of the game asides idris elbas charecter who was a new celeb add in to try to sell that cut content so fuck the game awards it sold out worse then normal this year and massively to the woke/esg funding crowd for nothing honestly the mana trailer was the big trailer for me as it looks like legend of mana but 3d which i am hoping it is as legend was the single deepest best rpg on playstation 1 and had stuff final fantasy wished it thought of back then and no other jrpg had for eons it was hella ahead of its time and seeing it redone but in 3d would be a dream come true another thing is we have dragons dogma coming this year if elden ring dlc took a backseat till late 2024 fine by me gives them time to make it big and for less competition cuz dragons dogma is going to be huge this year the original took ages to become the cult hit it is now and its insane how well reviewed and loved it is now so 2 despite not so much game news hype is what alot of people are frothing at the bit for rn its going to be a stellar game
Phantom Liberty wasn't "cut content", only part of it that is cut content are some of the building exteriors, the rest is new. "the woke/esg funding crowd" wtf, do you think the "woke funding crowd" don't like AC6 for some reason
@@ni9274 the entire area weps and other shit have been in game and accessible via various methods for over a year so no asides the new dialogue and quests being implemented the rest was there for a hot minute and again a game finally being finished thst was released too early isnt ongoing period and the game was dead as hell till edgerunners anyway so fuck that shit
Rejoicing myself from from softs fans tears. Continue diligently counting the numbers of days since the announce while wating for your precious DLC you spoiled brats.
@@raghav1026 nothing To me in particular, I'm just tired of Elden ring and from soft Being at the Center of everything related to gaming right now knowing that their two lasts games are so overrated. That's all
@@Zarocaz Well i'd say first the *Epic and Amazing combat system* it's dated, slow and restrained by Stamina with others ressources. That's what makes those games weak in the dynamic and fluid departement even with the upgrades through years of dev expérience. Then it runs poorly, from soft games are badly optimised and at last, quest design is archaïc.
Remember when they said they were expanding to take on multiple projects at once and then made us wait over 2 years for DLC with no announced games either. From starting to look quite clownass.
