All the characters qualified for capcom cup so far are in the base roster. People need to just get good and stop complaining about tiers and dlc creep. The real issue with dlc is that I can't lab against characters unless I buy them

Dude, Strive, MK, and T8 wish they could hit 10k player counts and/or have mostly positive Steam reviews. 6 is low-key carrying the fg genre until 2XKO and CotW come out.

Every pro says a strong character is weak and a weak character is strong, because they don’t want the character they play nerfed, Terry is in no way a weak character.

Oh yeah, one thing I wanna commend Capcom for *not* doing is... cracking down on mod support. Remember the "birthday suit chun-li incident" and how it had one of the higher-ups clutching their pearls? They've been radio silent on axing cosmetic mods ever since, and because of that, i get to have what i want in the game like having the Taco Bell SFX for DI hits and having luke say "Memphis" for his lvl 3 😊

You're so right about the Jukebox. I got it to play Killing Moon on every Akuma I fight. and I also went on Nexusmods and got it to play the orchestral version (of that, and the rest of the 3rd strike songs). Also for it to play Bison's SFV theme, it's an EXTREMELY good edition and the fact that you get to interact with it through drive tickets alone is AWESOME!!!

This video reminded me of the outfits. It has been reeeeallllly slow getting more outfits, but I understand it might be a lot of work (but modders seem to have a pretty easy time). Anyway, we hopefully will get outfit 4 this winter, just like last year. Hopefully sooner. My first impression of Terry was that he was the strongest Modern character and the strongest character overall because I felt like I could do nothing to stop him. I have not faced enough of Terry since release but I am still thinking he is not that bad. Maybe at top level he sucks, but at lower levels he could be broken.

Literally my only gripe with sf6 has been how spaced out everything is. Like dlc characters, balance patches, and costumes. Other than that I think they have been delivering once they do. Well also please fix Jamie, would be one of the most popular characters but his kit is still too handicapped.

Sf6 made me fall in love with playing Chun Li, I never used her in the previous games but the way she looks in that Outfit 3 had me going crazy over her 😂 she's been my main ever since I picked up the game I hope she gets stronger in future patches.

I bought Strive yesterday and am going to take a short break from SF6. It was starting to become more about chasing point than fun. However, even after a day, i can tell the difference the break made.

I wonder how quickly Chun-Li will disappear from his backgrounds once Mai is released

Side note: After playing Terry i got a bit nostalgic and started playing the older games and i found two fan made hacks/ports of Fatal Fury games for the Sega Genesis: First one is Real Bout Fatal Fury Special which is a conversion of the arcade game with some variations to compensate for the console, which looks and plays damn impressive, and the other is called Fatal Fury One, which is basically a remake of the first Fatal Fury game. It removes the Line system but the gameplay is improved significantly. Moves are way easier to pull off now and combat is faster. This is because both games run an a whole sifcerent engine called Hamoopig. Also there's a new hack of Super Street Fighter 2 called Bishoujo ("Pretty soldier") Street Fighter II: Glamkur Queen also for Genesis which replaces certain SF characters with other characters such as Mai Shiranui, Roll, and several others from some doujin games

If I like a game, I always find a character I like (even w/a starting roster of six, like TFH). 😉 Nice points on balance & mechanics. Wish I could play more often. I haven't done much vs, & am not even ready for new content (also playing other games). Solid vid.

If terry have a chance to punish his rival with 2MP, you can connect to 236HK and start you big combo(distance matter, may not connect if too far, lots of spacing control for terry players to learn), could save 3 drive bars.This is one of his few advantages.

Last tournament is the perfect example of how tier lists are worthless when a game is balanced.

I’m in that former boat still. Don’t love any particular character like I do in other fgs. I was so hype for Terry as a huge SNK fan but to me he plays so much more boring than he does in the games he’s from. Hoping Mai will change that up a bit. If not I’ll hold out hope for Adon, Kolin or Mika to return. Or a Rival Schools character or Morrigan or even Sub-Zero etc lol

The drive system ensures I keep the game firmly on the bench until or unless Viper is added, because at this point, she's the only character I feel would be worth dealing with said system in order to play.

It takes them 6 months to create these costumes. Overkill? Maybe. But they do damned good job at them. Capcom should really hire more modelers and animators for the costumes so they can them out faster, if they haven’t already. Well, that and cool it on the avatar crap for a few months.

Terry isnt weak

The Terry being weak narrative seems pretty dumb because it's like people are looking at it as not being top tier means being weak. Manon, Jaime, and Honda are weak. Terry is not in the same ballpark as them.

Drive reversal should be -3 if its going to still lose to medium buttons. If you are going to make it punishable on block, make it beat medium normals. Drive reversal is really, really bad in its current state.

I still think the last season of sf6 will be the best season because capcom would of figure things out like they did for sfv, sfiv and iii. Although i think if u don't like the drive system, u never will. Just like with tekken 8, i dont like heat system so no tekken for me this generation.

The biggest problem with the game now after watching the recent Singapore tournament is: Every good character plays the same. With drive rush, characters that traditionally could cover long distances like Honda and Blanka are no longer special in their own way. Every viable character now has an EX-DP, covers long distances, and it's only about who has a fast and far drive rush that can react with a poke whiff punish into a level 3 or knockdown 50/50. The grand finals were so boring the audience almost didn't even notice it was over. It was Perfect after Perfect with huge two-touch combos that this game now feels more like Guilty Gear or Marvel than Street Fighter. It has become too reaction-heavy and almost no strategy is involved. Street Fighter has become a very boring game to play and watch especially when you reach a certain level. The devs said they wanted to avoid the SF5 guessing scenarios but now it seems to be even worse in this game. Drive Rush was a huge mistake.

Someone help me pass on the message to Capcom that character specific nerfs they are tossing to the wind are supposed to help balance the game... Not make them harder to play... From a Guile main.

I personally dropped the game around 3-4 months ago as a long time SF player I played allot versions and become a fairly strong player in sf4 and 5 so I have allot of love for the series but I just really really dislike 6, the drive mechanic for me is just not fun it ends up making most characters gameplans feel more or less the same, raw drive rush, button into drive rush, low commitment to pretty much anything you do etc, it just feels that drive rush is such a dominant mechanic it robs every other factor of the game from trying to excel

Nothings wrong with SF6 what’s funny is it’s one of the most balanced fighting games ever when it comes to character diversity. I played them all. I’m 34 years old. I lv played all of them at a high level, you have never seen this many characters tees used in tournament consistently over time and if you look at the top 8 it’s usually the person that’s making the difference not the character because you saw Ken and Blanka at Evo and in major tournaments you see Kimberly Ed’s cammy of course winning the most recent Evo. Even Gief is getting far. People just say this stuff because 1 they not as good as they think they are and ego makes them rage and come up with excuses or 2 they just make up videos and complain because it gets clicks and they get a check. Novice players agree because they are losing often and need something to help there ego with excuses as to why they lost,

to answer title question - NOTHING. I don't see any point to open this game these days. Maybe new cool Akuma costume would change my mind but it's not happening.

Glad you are joining the fun, for me as day 1 this game have been great, I have my characters already in, Cammy and Juri are still so much fun to use, and the drive system allow to create combos and stuff that ain't possible in any other game.....the DLC to me have been great, Rashid is a lot of fun, Akuma also, Bison is insane and I love him now, and Terry............is GODDMAN TERRY BOGARD, I can't care less what Mago says, I having so muuuchhhh FUN with Terry, buster wolf is my favorite lv1, Power Geyser and TRIPLE GEYSER....are you kidding me, just like you I PLAY TO HIT THAT, or do double Geyser into Buster Wolf, I can't care if is not optimal, is so damn FUN. My only gripe keep been the lack of COLORS, and alternative Costumes, they have drop some small colors, EX1 color attached to that streamers thing was a little annoy to get but was a great color my favorite of her right now, but we need a lot more......but other than that, SF6 is really looking amazing and I can't hardly wait for Mai now.

Capcom has done a good job with their character selection so far. As a Dee Jay main in 4 and a Ed main in 5 I couldn’t be happier! Well I guess if they put Zeku and Sagat in somewhere down the road I’d be a little happier 😁

The fact that bisons bomb "slows the pace to a crawl" is precisely why some people dislike it. JP departure and Bison psycho mine doesn't belong in my street fighter game. Keep that anime bullshit out of my Street Fighter game.

This game will be cooked when cotw comes out next year. . . . If they don't buff defense like tekken has to then. . . . yeah it won't be sf anymore but spectator fighter 6. Yeah sure steam rolling opponents is fun but that's not street fighter. That's more guilty gear and killer instinct than I have ever seen. The battle director needs to be changed and if they just stop tying guard to drive meter and instead just let us only lose special attacks only then we'd have a better game. Then again the jims love this game because it takes away fundamentals and dials it up to gambling and many of the populars of our community shill the game hard instead of actually being honest. . . . . 2 heavy attacks move all characters forward. . . . that's not supposed to actually be there in any sf and yet it started in 5 and has now gotten worse in 6. Terry is fun and has only made the game fun to play through him alone but c'mon? Id rather have fun with the whole cast then just one character that's DLC

Capcom just released a collection of games that are over 20 years old and have truly broken top tiers and yet Street Fighter 6 is still the boring and stale one.

Terrible game. Slime rush, perfect parry, throw loops are fucking awful. I will scream my hate for this game from the mountain tops. Good content, though.

I'm gonna be honest I don't like the current state of the game. They keep releasing busted DLC so people are force to buy them, then nerf them afterwards. But their kits overall are left in a, still better state than the base roster. While giving 0 f*cks about the base roster, bc we already paid for them... Not happy, capcom nerfs characters, that are not shotos, before the community figures them out bc "NERF GIEF NOW!!!!"(I'm not a gief main) I thought this game was supposed to be the "let it rock" of street fighters and it's slowly becoming vanilla SFV IMO. Something tells me Mai is going to be the worst character in the game, a lot of gimmicks and no real substance. Love your content BTW S2.
