The crazy thing is that there’s literally people on CC uploading porn and 2K does nothing about it but they banned WTS for giving us good creations. Matt I love the new set up 🔥

2K is upset that 1 creator can do what a team of them can not or will not do. They should be working on fixing the real problems with the game instead of creating one by targeting one person in the community.

Someone at 2K clearly has a problem with Status. This can only be solved in an online 4v4 Wargames match.

2K doesn’t understand that a fan who grew up watching wrestling between 95 - 07 (and few times during the PG era) that I do not know around 70% of the roster as I am unaware of the newer superstars These modders ALONE are the reason I purchase these games as I could download retro attires for my universe mode etc If these creators keep getting banned, I honestly won’t be interested in future 2K games

But all the porn images and signs are still up and those people don’t get banned and get their stuff taken down💀

Status was definitely one of the people keeping the game alive with all the customs. Man 2k just so selfish. So many issues with the game but choose to focus on something not that serious but they can't add Cody's theme to the game to use for our customs. Really a shame

I think this is deeper than what you think they banned status apparently because 2k will eventually take over the fifa/fc franchise (football/soccer) games. They dont want status or someone like status to be able to create stuff thats not in the game because they will really rely on micro transactions in the future games. For example if you want to have a different version of roman or cody or anyone else you will have to open packs or purchase that specific card or skin through their shop. 2k games will be different from next year expect to see a shop or something like fortnite has and that’s for wwe games as well. One of the wwe devs was talking about this in an interview years ago so i guess the time has slowly come thats why they take action now. Expect other creators to get permanent ban if 2k feels like they will impact their shop service. They wont do any wow updates in the game accept micro fixes cause the games come out yearly so they want to keep getting that bag.

If 2k would keep the game up to date and stop locking stuff behind modes this wouldn’t even be a problem smh

It’s not just Status, MartyM the guy who did the crazy backstage arenas like the firefly funhouse was banned too, seems like 2K doesn’t want custom modded content, but NSFW content is ok.

What needs to be fixed in the game for me is the memory cap limit for images. DX music and evolution music not being in the game. Wyatt family's entrance the lantern doesn't work. Meanwhile I address this to 2K and they always told me to go to discord which they have banned me for an entire year. I'm getting to the point where I hate 2K. They are proving that they don't care.

Let's talk about it... They've known about status for YEARS. Sure they banned him on 2k23.... But you're telling me they didn't per ban him from their platform entirely back then? Why? Maybe because they were using Status and his creations to calm the negative voices regarding their game until... Until just a few weeks from the release of DLC 1. I find it very strange that they not only waited....BUT they claim that they are doing it over him breaking the rules.. The man violated the terms of service, but the fact he didn't get a strike to begin with or they just removed the content they deemed was in violation of their contract with WWE is what makes 2K look so bad and also as a mediocre entity. Some of the mods he did for hair and textures could have been done by VC themselves if they weren't such a lazy bunch!

Status gave so much to the community creations; I have him and many other great creators bookmarked and check them daily to see what's been added. I like getting new creations and rotating my roster, but the search feature is just not fit for purpose. Even when I know what I'm searching for, you get things that just have those series of letters in them (searching MMA and gettting stuff for Tommaso Ciampa is a classic with that).

Maybe if they gave us up to date rosters so we don’t have to upload all these creations. This is a 2k issue. They need to get they’re issues together

The CC is the backbone of the game and you’re right there is a lot and I mean a lot of explicit content on there and I keep reporting it to the point that I’m afraid to even search images. I really hope 2k reconsiders status’ ban.

This has to be in response to what status wrote on twitter about 2k right after WrestleMania. All status does is provide truth about 2k and the devs and its just laughable that 2K has tried time and time again to get rid of him but the community loves Status more than they do the devs.

theres alot of of 18+ stuff everytime on the CC menu and them banning a good creator sucks bro like with these wrestlers leaving WWE we pretty much rely on these good creators to bring them back into the game

I actually seen some CP on the image section of the community creation and immediately reported the creator but I am sure it's not the first time it's happening

I dont understand what causes them to make certain CAWs "Content Damaged". I tried to download several CAWs yesterday and notice a ton of them are content damaged, which I read is something they patched in to stop you from downloading certain CAWs that may have modded content to them. And if the CAWs are not able to be downloaded, why dont they remove them from community creations? Its just so frustrating to see a CAW you want and then try to DL it only for it to act like it is downloading and then goes "Content Damaged"

The only way I can see this making sense is if they did that to hire status

The honest to god issue here is 2K. They've failed for 10 years now at making WWE games. Until they're gone, this doesn't change.

Firstly, love the new background and the updated production quality in this video. Great Job! Secondly, I haven't spent much time using community creations this year, as opposed to other years. But regardless, this really puts a damper on the game entirely. I get their reasoning, and to be fair they did announce stricter guidelines in 2K23 when it comes to creators like Status. However, there is so much more they should be focusing on, in the base game and on Community Creations. Really hoping there is enough of an uproar about this that we hear something from 2K. I doubt this is a WWE decision., I can't see why it would be.

When I found this out yesterday I sent an email to 2k about WTS and how I've never seen him upload anything inappropriate like 2k said in the ban mesg to status. I wrote about all of the nude pics that are still up at this moment bcuz I just checked. He's been banned unfairly if you ask me . I hope he fights this... 2k is dead wrong on this move.

Love the commentary of this video-it needed to be said. Like most everyone, I have been buying WWE 2K games from the beginning, and strictly speaking for me only, Universe Mode is why I continue to buy. This year, though, because of all the new bugs, no help, or even feedback from support, I'm really doubtful I'll buy 2K25. I fear the next step will be trademark enforcement, and it will make community creations pretty bland, to put it mildly. Keep up the great work, Matt. Love the content.

This really sucks for us Console players that rely on these amazing PC hackers/modders. It’s crazy to know that 2K is extremely forward thinking when it comes to their NBA2K, but not to their WWE games. And as someone who plays both it’s crazy to think how they can refuse to update attires or even hair post launch, but they’ll update facial hair & tattoos in NBA2K… in fact if we’re just taking about the careers for both games it’s crazy how much updated store options 2K gives NBA. Case in point. Why weren’t they able to atleast update AJ Styles attire & beard? We’re not asking for his music, which is obviously easy to do, but his beard. And we know that they fix hairstyles every patch if you just look Hogan. I guess we won’t be getting hidden Goldberg, Dolph Ziggler, Sting Trons, etc… this year smh

I wish they would put the new Title templates in the game to be used for created belts. It's crazy to me that they have the belts in the game but not the template for championship creation!

They should worry more about the SAME glitches that have plagued these games for over a DECADE now. Half of the caws downloaded just break the game. Embarrassing

I am less worried about content support, but banning WTS is incredibly foolish, 2k shouldn't be banning fans so involved with their product. I am more annoyed that once the game has been out a bit, its like there is no more hope for continuing to improve on the bugs and glitchy shit until maybe, maybe the next year's game. There are still far too many issues with collision detection, missed attacks because of poor tracking or collision detection, issues when wrestlers heights are too different from one another, missing aerial moves for stupid reasons related to either poor tracking or the target rolled slightly left in a selling animation which made the move miss entirely, too small rings, referees being a total pita, that kinda stuff. My GF and I play this together coop and we both agree with the assertion that there seems like there are more issues this year than even last year. Unfortunately, we are losing hope that 2k is ever going to hammer it out, and that's being patient with this franchise through it taking the long route to be as stable as it was in 2k19, while the new dev team had to reverse engineer the code they inherited. To be perfectly honest, we'd likely jump ship if there was even any kind of competitor because we are so sick of dealing with the issues in WWE2k. There just isn't a decent alternative in the wrestling game space right now.

*To note, I’ve been a women’s wrestling fan since I was 6 back in the Attitude Era* Just when I thought 2K & WWE were easing up on more PG-14-type stuff (realistic shadowing of body parts including cleavage and the shadow lines defining where the buttock ends and the thighs begin / not making the breasts look like bumps / permanently adding those shorts “underwear” to skirts & specific attires & that cropped tank top for certain tops -some understandably so- ) I’m pretty sure they either went in and fixed/ruined both bottom tights of Summer Rae or added more fabric prior to WWE 2K24’s release! They weren’t even inappropriate in the first place!

I went back to 2k23 a month ago and haven’t looked back. The game is stable it works and all of Status downloads are still there. 2k24 is a mess way before this Status issue happened. Way too many issues to mention.

This is why I don't upload anything. Well, that and I doubt anyone would care about my custom superstars.

Was loading up the game a few days ago and when I did it crashed and I lost all my data on Xbox, it’s pained me bad especially getting every single arena unlocked and all my my rise characters are gone along with Whatsthestatus characters 😢

You touch on a lot of great points here. One thing that I personally can see happening with Community Creations, is that they will end up throwing it behind a pay wall (I am not saying I agree with this) to prevent all the negative content that you were speaking of. The mindset being, is that if you're paying for that privilege, you won't be as apt to break the rules.

i really wish there was a better way to deal with the explicit stuff that shows up. you can't report it until you select it (and get a real good zoom in on the picture in question), and the comment section has the same text censoring as the rest of the game so you can't even directly say why it's reportable! i really don't think it should entirely fall on users to moderate content they don't want to see in a video game.

This game is broke I can't download anything anymore and I only used 44 of 100 I already had to create a new profile to continue to play because apparently one of the Kayden alternative outfits I downloaded was corrupted and completely screwed up my game! It won't let me simply delete it either! The game chooses to not let me in EDIT SUPERSTAR screen and I can't delete it in the DELETION UTILITY either. Communication with 2K Support has been a joke ! They told me to reinstall the game. Fine, so after two hours of doing this the game boots up to what I think will be a fresh start but NO! it picks up exactly the same arrrgh 😠

No cowboy Brock, no Edge, no Goldberg, countless bugs, increased emphasis on spending real money on MyFaction persona cards and now 2K are nuking CC creators. Yeah…. I think I’m done with this series. I don’t watch WWE anymore anyway so the updated rosters are worthless to me.

I deleted a custom arena, and after deleting the arena it has corrupted my game to the point where I can't access any custom modes and can't even use play now without the game crashing. Such crap from 2K

if you don't know why he was banned then you are trying not to see it. he can try and act innocent but some of the things he upload I.e. the demon Finn valor, making women being able to fight men, etc he knew there could be an issue. he is arguable the biggest creator and that's why 2k went after him. to set an example. it doesn't matter why 2k did it now..they can do whatever they want whenever they want. its their game. their property. they have reasons why some things are taken out of the game. he was literally modding the game....he isn't innocent by a long shot.

To be fair Whatsthestatus uploaded all the in game female superstars to be able to wrestle men. No other user has done that. Not only that those female superstars were glitch free. And they function flawlessly.I know because I downloaded a few and used them in game. Thank you Whatsthestatus! Which was not possible to do in 2k22 and 2k23. He uploading intergender wrestlers wasn't the issue. The issue is he uploaded in game functional non glitchy female WWE superstars that can wrestle men. Status did what was considered the impossible. All female wrestlers including female CAWs are purposely coded to not to be able wrestle the in game male superstars. Whatsthestatus broke the terms of service. When he uploaded those female wrestlers. So 2k doesnt have to give a warning to ban you. The ban warning is in the TOS you agreed to in order to play the game once you turn it on first the first time. 2k moderators who moderate community creations now only do so periodically. And do a content sweep on community creations. And they did warn all the modders last year concerning 2k23 mods that 2k will ban people for mods. Especially if they uploaded content or assets that maybe used and taken from Myfaction. This could include attire and audio files. Most software companies do have rules and policies against changing and modifying their software. Also the only time I,ve seen adult imagery is when you type in sexy as a hashtag and click images. And there isn't as much adult content as people complain about. So 2k is cracking down on adult content and images regulary during their scheduled community creation sweeps. At the end of the day it is 2k,s game and WWE has full control of their trademarks and license. I,m not saying that Whatsthestatus did anything that was morally wrong . I love downloading and using his modified content. At the same time 2k as a company and business has the right to contractually protect their software and defend the copyrights and trademarks of the IP that they have license to you use. Which is the WWE. No one on either side did anything morally wrong. Its just business for 2k. Its not personal. And Whatsthestatus should have known that legally 2k would and could take down all his content and ban him at anytime they wanted.
