They had a few chances to sign Eddie Howe as manager over the years. Young, experienced and attacking minded. It was always obvious to me and always said so. The manager always carries the can, hiring Benitez was a huge mistake by the owner as obviously no idea of how deep rooted the rivalry with the Reds goes….. it will take a long time to sort the backroom problems out and rebuild a "Band of Brothers"….. Wayne Rooney was the obvious choice but I expect he could see (at this stage) it was a poison chalice and in any case his ethics tied him to Derby. This did not even mention losing the number 1 footballer in the last few years in how many miles he covered each match. Gylfi was a long time starter whose sudden loss from the club last summer was not really filled. Another subject not covered too well was how slow the season began in inclusion of the young players from the acedemy. Even under the Dutchman a few years ago this was done right from the beginning in a meaningful way. An intereresting point from history is that the first time Everton went down it was with a 22-year old Dixie Dean sandwiched between some awesome seasons for him and the club.

We are going to be relegated. Most fans have known this for months. Moshiri was warned to step back as he is utterly clueless on football matters. This is what happens when the Club is run by a despot. He has been the sole decision maker. This is fine if you are good at it. He is not. It didn’t help that Rafa is undeniably the worst Everton manager in our entire history, which takes some doing. He makes Mike Walker look like a tactical genius. Remember not a single board member wanted Rafa as there were too many red flags. The majority of fans echoed this. How he was ever seen as a good fit defies belief? He is yesterday’s man. He completely demoralised an already fragile Club. I personally would not have appointed Lampard knowing the state of the squad and the position we were in. He clearly lacks the experience required and that has been shown to be the case. It was a tough job for any manager to be honest. The Club have also been planning for the drop. That’s fact by the way. So, they are already resigned to it. It’s just a case of going through the motions until it happens. The squad is possibly the worst squad since 1878. We have had a few stinkers but these are head and shoulders above any previous squad. Spineless, gutless, talentless, weak mentality, no fight, no passion, no heart, lacking basics, lacking effort and not the level required to play in the Premier. Moshiri needs to sell up. The board should resign en masse. The new stadium should be shelved. Finch Farm (training ground) needs to metaphorically razed to the ground. The culture there is where all the footballing problems stem from. Ask anyone who knows anyone who works at the training ground and they will tell you. It stinks. It wears the cloak of failure like a badge of honour. Start again with a blank sheet. We have been stuck on the first year of a five year plan for donkey’s years. The mismanagement is next level. The fish rots from the head down. No fan wants the drop but it is going to happen. Deal with it!

Everton bought a great young player from Glasgow Rangers, in Nathan Paterson, he has it all to be a future "Andy Robertson", but has played in just 1 game, it seems Lampard prefers 30+ year olds to youth.

Here's the problem. The manager builds tactics and the team. He alone should be the one saying I want this player, that player is not performing, ship him out. What it seems to me, following the situation, is that Everton had a chap who wasn't the manager making decisions on players the manager didn't want , and the manager had to suck it up.- which has caused the obvious tension as the managers have got the flack for poor performances of those players. I'm gonna break ranks and lay the blame firmly at the ego of Brands.

Injuries.. most injuries per 1000 minutes played.. 11.4 injured per 1000 minutes players.. most players used in the premier league having played even youth team players due to injuries to first team players.. i don't know how a team can have so many injuries in one season.. it's a disaster for Everton.. talk about a season of bad luck.. you lose a good manager, get your worst enemy as your boss, players get injured everyday, best 2 players are sold, new signings are also injured, loaned players are injured, poor refereeing decisions in a few games and finally financial(which is not bad luck, but their own fault)

It was the same at Newcastle. The players looked unfit and couldn't care whether the won drew or lost under numerous managers. They drew their salaries and drove their super cars.... THEN a new manager with ambition came in and now look. They fight for every ball because their livelihoods are threatened and bloody well should do because that is what they are paid for. Chelsea are like watching paint dry, passing back and square so Everton deserved the win. Havertz is a typical German forward, diving, fouling and bullying are a big part of his game and quite honestly many times in many games the ref should have sent him off. Dirty bastard.

Had lots of doubts when Digne was sold. Then Rafa sacked soon after. I was still in some hopes, but everything just shattered when Dele was brought in. The fact that Lampard personally wanted him just tells us the path this miserable club is heading towards. Now I can definitely feel what Schalke fans have been through.
