A very brief and basic overview of some of the main Goth subgenres. Of course this doesn't included every single sub-subgenre, or sub-category within genres. Gothic Rock, for example, has many iterations -- be it Western, Operatic, or Folk-infused versions. There's a lot of material out there, and this was made by request of some viewers who wanted an easy way to compare some of the main subgenres of Goth music.

Much of the other information in this video comes from experience and years of discussion with fellow goths. It does not encompass the entire history of goth, nor does it cover every distinct wave of each subgenre. It is a brief overview for those looking to get into goth music -- a generic guide of key terms and subgenre titles to look for.
