Tbf i didnt even know you could customize characters in the demo so i just changed my character and started playing. i love this art direction, it runs at a locked 60fps bc it's not too graphically demanding. best of all it'll still look good 20 years later, like Wind Waker.
Graphic Mode is 4K/30 and Performance mode is 1080p/60. Me personally I will be playing 4K/30 for the story mode and 1080p/60 for online coop multiplayer. And though 1080p/60 mode is a little blurry, it upscales on my 4K TV and doesn’t bother me to much . The art direction really helps holds the game. Maybe Cygames can do a future patch to help some of the blurriness in performance mode👍
PS5 Players really are just talking about their Quality of 1080p or 4k running at 60 FPS and 30 FPS meanwhile us PS4 Players dont have that option I think we're locked at 30 FPS
As someone who's been playing the gacha for the past 8 years roughly and has also been keeping an eye on this game ever since it was first announced as a project back in August of 2016, it's really amazing to see more people getting into Granblue Fantasy, whether it's through the Versus fighting game or Relink. This was really wonderful to watch, you really provided a great explanation and breakdown of the game to help people further understand it before release. Hoping to see all of you in these expansive blue skies come Feb 1st, whether on PC or PS.

@@votpavel yeah, no i have been waiting for this since 2015 ff16 i quit played gbfrelink demo and i feel like this is what i wanted the most. Just play story and do missions with bosses that you can either beat underleveled or overpowered depending on how you want to play. Ff 16 the combat was good, but it felt like too easy and boring. (Except for the main bosses) but gbfrelink has more characters to learn, has a better mission enviroment you can explore and find something new. You can redo missions later and get a secret boss. Because you couldnt beat the level under 3min. It helas more replay ability than ff16 who has 1 character only storyline with sub quests (most of them are just doing chores) and because it has more characters now the gameplay is more fun because it doesnt feel youre doing the same thing over and over again. 😊

@@votpavel its a quest mode that youll be able to play during story so,... Youll have to unlock it. Like youll get easy quests at first and later more difficult ones as you move on with the story.

Well you probaby wont ONLY focus on story missions and not do any side missions or content what so ever. So it will probably take you 30-40 hours unless you only do main story and nothing else.
Watching your GBF videos makes me want to play even more, the 2 weeks left are going to be long 😅 One question Havian, do you think the upcoming content or characters will be free or paid? Since deluxe edition doesnt add a season pass it would be awfull if we have to pay for every new character or quest 😔
I am really glad they released a good demo prior to release. I am new to the GB series so getting a little bit of hands on time was great. I am looking forward to the full release and grinding end game content. Thanks for all your work and insight into Relink Havian it has been really helpful, keep up the good work. Maybe in the future will do some endgame content with ya.
I have s++ the every mission and I have taken on the red monster from the stone in the story mode if you choose to wait we have other things to do you can fight like a level 20 mob and that was pretty fun too I think higher difficulty content's going to be amazing like just look at some of the raid footage you've shown from some of those fights even the golem like the sand golem is kind of crazy when it gets into its berserk state and starts shaking the ground making you unable to move The only way you can get around that is by jumping or dodging and then we starts throwing the AOE boulders everywhere and if you get close to get smacked so fun
that damn goblin quest is bugged, i kill last goblin fast enough under 2 minutes and he doesnt die or he dies and there is a whole other wave cme out after
@@votpavelthe 5th wave of enemies is suppose to happen after you kill the first 4 waves without failing a objective it doesnt drop the time or fail objectives after the 4th. Havian talked about how some quest have a hidden 2nd part and thats how its done

@@carlosdasilva719 same 2 bosses and 1 Enemy Hoard yea its mostly been the rock golem really playing every character, learning their mechanics, joining up with people, teaching them a bit about each character they play, etc. I mean Full Game drops gonna probably spend 100-200 hours on the same 3 bosses aswell for endgame stuff XD

I honestly don't think that the demo did a good job showcasing what this game actually is. That's probably why the demo was only on the Playstation. A lot of people were underwhelmed with the combat, but I know that this game will be more complex than what they showed. Some people that played the demo just found the experience shallow and I think that's because Cygames did a poor job with the choices in their demo. I had a lot of fun, but I can understand why some people would think what was offered was just a hack n slash like Dynasty Warriors. Cygames REALLY should have explained the acts mechanics...because once you know that mechanic, you understand that combat is more complex. I also think that the Lock On needs quite a bit of work. It was when I fought against the Rock Golem that the lock on REALLY showed its problems. When I tried to throw the sand enemy's 10k damage thing, it would always lock on to the other sand enemy and NOT the Rock Golem. There's also the problem where whenever I locked on to the sand enemy, it wouldn't toggle to any other enemy. It was stuck on the sand enemy, even flicking the R3 analog stick. I DO NOT like the lock on in this game at this point in time, it's too jank. I also don't like that I changed the settings to let my party use their SBA and they didn't use their SBA....I literally had all 3 of my party have full SBA guages and it wasn't until a certain time of the clock struck that they used it, every time.... I should be able to persuade them to use it whenever I want them to, just like Tales of games.....I am completely disappointed with this. Other than that, great game, super excited., buying day 1, I just hope they fix these two things. Also, why aren't there acts in the quest mode?
I will say it again like I did your last video. This is hands down the best overview video about the game on youtube, I'm surprised they don't add officially add this to their youtube channel for new players, because its just that good imo. Also as a person who really does not care for anime or JRPGs this game is a day one for me and its thanks to detailed videos like this that help bring me to that conclusion.

Weapons have a Trait themselves I dont think its a Permanent upgrade that sticks around like Fate Sim stat increase does so you should be fine not having to craft everything and maxing them out. A confirmation on this will be nice otherwise we wait for the full game to test Imma craft every weapon however due to the ability to change to their looks if I like em
Oh yup, the enhancements in the collection tab are passives that will be on the character. So you can still use them even if you don't have that weapon equipped. It's to incentivise weapon collecting and upgrading. This is a quote from the director: "These unlockable bonuses are passive bonuses. Meaning you don't need to equip the weapon to reap the rewards. So the more weapons you have, the stronger you'll get."
I've seen bits and pieces of this game all over the place. But never knew what it actually was though. Thought it was a Dynasty Warriors type hack and slash from the gameplay bits I've seen. But guess I was wrong. But looks interesting.
Biggest gripes so far are hit detection not feeling strong enough(Almost MMO like) & horde battles having too few enemies. Say it's just a demo, but how often is that ever true? Please allow us to mow down hordes of enemies(for those mission types) to truly make the combat feel good for as flashy it is. Hopeful for difficulty options
That boss is Lucilius, he's one of the major big bads in the actual series and his boss fight in the mobile game is infamous for entire party wiped In the opening moment so it's a HP check. He's a Free update End game Raid boss type deal in Relink in April or May I believe

all 20 Characters should have a fate sim as its a break down of who they are and some story about them the only 1 I see not being a Fatesim separately is Gran and Djeeta as they're the MC and seem to share the same desire
A question about quests, do you need to beat all of the story to see all of the quests? Or will there be walls that you need to beat certain parts of the story to see certain quests?
More quests unlock as you play through the story. You'll also need to beat specific quests and then take a rank up quest to move up through the difficulty tiers. Most of the quests are said to be unlockable after the credits roll.
Any idea how many difficulty levels for the main story there will be? I think the default on the demo was too easy and I've only seen the other being "action" difficulty.
Hello Havian, While playing the demo I noticed they showed for elements, an elementless or neutral element with the color white. Does that mean we will get a character with that specific element?
I'm not sure if we will get a character with the 'Plain' element, but there are a few skills that use that element. I don't think any of the damage skills i've seen so far are plain, but in the original game plain damage was mainly a fixed number.
my main concern with this game is exploration... Tears of the Kingdom raised my standards when it comes to world design and how it relates to you. Immersion. Not looking for a clone, but I am looking for thoughtfulness behind the world and how it relates to you exploration wise
I mean you probably should not use Tears of Kingdom as a yardstick comparison to a game that is trying to do something different and is in a different genre of a game. To reverse uou r logic how about I take a random Jrpg let's say Granblue , FF VII r, persona 4 and use the quality of their story telling and dialogue as a yardstick and expect that type of immersion from Tears of the Kingdom. Like of course the story and dialogue from TOTK will pale in comparison in those aspect if you compare it to a full-fledged masterclass jrpg storytelling and character dialogue.

Its about preference.. if someone wanted Masterclass WRITING and set pieces, they will go look for that. if someone wants creative and thoughtful world building and execution, they will look for that.. and I want creativity and thought behind Granblue, JUST LIKE TOTK had thought and creative behind it.. nobody is saying that want an Ultrahand feature in Granblue lmaooo
I think we will. At the very least I'd expect there to be balance updates and fixes, but they probably want to see how things go at launch before they announce more content past May.
There's a few characters that have alternate looks, like Siegfried having his helmet on or off, but as far as full on different outfits we don't know yet
After playing the demo I changed my mind and I'm not gonna buy this game anymore. I thought this was a JRPG but it's a weird mix of musou and JRPG. What put me off is the scope of the main story vs the side content, if I have to guess it's 20 hours of main story vs hundreds and hundreds of hours doing side quest to max all chars. Plus the fact that PC players can't play with PS and the matchmaking is barebone it's kind of shameful for a 4 players co-op game. This game will be so niche on steam that I doubt you will find any players for co-op down the line in a year or so. Maybe I will grab it on sale maybe not.
Can't wait for this to release. It is easily going to blow any recent final fantasy game out of the water. Really sad how far FF has fallen in recent years. SE has truly lost it's touch. Kudos to Cygames.
So everyone keeps saying roland is a playable character but you just showed the character unlock screen and he wasnt there meaning he isnt playable right
it's weird because Rolan's on the "Allies" section on the website with all the other playable characters, rather than the "Companions" section of the website which is where they put Lyria and Vyrn. People were theorizing Rolan may potentially be unlocked after the story is finished, but it's just theories.

So lame that they're forcing Gran into your party in story mode. Just keep him in cinematics, why force him to eat up a valuable party slot by making him mandatory? I wanted to run a Vane+Lancelot+Siegfried+Percival party, and now that's gone.
You know the hype for this game is real when me and my friend did a smash or pass on the female playable characters from Relink and Rising. Unsurprisingly, most of the girls are a smash while only two are passes but in all seriousness great job on this video!
