I have growth hormone deficiency and was diagnosed as a toddler. I think my projected height was 4 foot 9. I’m now 16 and am already 5 foot 11. The medication really does work if you actually have GHD
Dude there are many side affects to t taking growth hormone it's not healthy for you to take growth hormone if you are healthy. I have this and they did not list all the side affecta
I’m a 16 year old male and about 5’5 1/2, I started taking this when I was 11 and I was told I would end up being about 5 feet or less, it has really been helpful to me and I’m still maintaining an average growth of about 7 cm per year. My goal is to reach 5’7 and I’ll finally stop caring about height forever, but if end up not reaching this I’m still incredibly grateful that I was able to reach this point
@@sasoperator6217 I’m now at 5’6 1/2 so I’ve grown about an inch since this comment, I went to a specialized doctor to get my process checked and to see whether I’ll keep growing or not and he told me that I’ll most likely keep growing since I’ve been growing rapidly and consistently in the past years (averaging around 7-8 cm per year), another thing that made the doctor come to this conclusion is that my bones are still the ones of a 15 year old male while I’m almost 17, meaning that my body is still two years behind of where it should be thus I still have plenty of time to grow. It’s all about patience dude, I always hoped I’d grow overnight and when I didn’t I would get very depressed thinking that I would just not grow and at the end I turned out fine, even if I stayed at this height I would be considered short but I wouldn’t really pop out for my short height which is what really concerned me. I was diagnosed with GHD when i was probably about 12, I was under 5ft until i was 16 or so, Got the Injections and slowly but surely started growing, i was estimated at 5' 7" max after the treatment (mum and dad were both 5' 2", I am 5' 6" ( 19yr male) but quit the injections after i turned 18 as i was getting sick of the needles every day, Anybody that hated the thought of a need going in to you, like me (nevermind everyday) i ask you to rethink it as it will help, injections arent fun but being short and looking half your age is deffo worse
i really can relate with this im in the 2nd percentile that means 98% of kids are way taller than me and apparently being under the 3rd percentile is big flag of GHD my mom is 5'2 my dad is about 5'6 5'7 my mom said btw my height is 4'9 and most of the people i know at that age of 13 are around 5'2 5'3
@@mattrye5861 Both of those are correct (atleast for me) , I only recently reached my (assumed) full height at 5' 10". Im 20 now and only recently started getting my first (kinda) mustache and sideburns, I was given HGH for my height and testosterone injections to trigger puberty when i was i think around 16/17 as it was very delayed, i assume i wont get any taller as im pretty sure my bones have now fused due to having finished or nearly finished puberty, hope this helps anybody else in my situation
@@joshmckinley9277 that’s really interesting because I’m in a similar boat to. I’m 18 5ft 4 and hit puberty naturally at like 16. My older brother is 5ft 9 and started shaving at 15. I’ve never had to shave. I’m currently booked into to see an endocrinologist in a couple of weeks regarding my growth and to see whether i have growth hormone deficiency, as I still look like a 15 year old. If I do and get treatment I doubt I’ll reach my brothers height as I’m a bit late to getting treatment but I’m hoping to possibly reach 5ft 6 possibly 5ft 7 if I’m lucky by the time I’m 20. May I ask how tall you were before injections?

Not all people grow the same time. If the internet tells you that you will stop growing at 18 is incorrect that's because society made 18 years old an adult (because for drafting in the wars) when truly everyone matures at different ages mentally and physically
Just because you are short does not mean you have this. It causes alot of other damage besides height, it causes organs and bones to not grow also, which can lead to other really bad diseases including: lung disease, Heart disease, and even some cancers. This is random, it's not genetic so it doesn't matter your family's height. I have this, I got diagnosed in 2nd grade and only recently discovered what it is called. Edit (again): I remember when they gave me the MRI they knocked me out with gas and I was TERRIFIED, I also remember when they gave me the blood test, they took 9 viles of blood, I had a dandy time as a second grader with them taking blood. Just be careful doing dangerous activities that you have a higher potential for injuries or broken bones. Your bones grow softer and brittle when you take HGH. Your bones start to rapidly grow in a very shirt period of time. Which makes them have weak spots or even similar looking holes to osteoporosis in your bones. I qas on HGH testosterone and levothyroxine for hypothyroidism from 15 almsot 16 to 7 days before my 17th birthday. 14 months. I went from 5 1 and 220 pounds. Not hair on my body balls hadnt dropped and had a squeaky ass voice. To 5 11 180 muscular in just iver a year. Then october 21st 2012 7 days before i turn 17, i landed wrong jumping 20 stairs on roller blades. And bent my leg under my back. Completely. My right foot was positioned directly next to my eye sight line. And i passed out. I had a SCFE. (SLIPPED CAPITAL FEMURAL EPIPHOSIS) OR THE BALL of my femur had broke Clean off my leg and dislocated from my hip socket as well. I had 4 surguries over thr follwing 2 plus years. To repair the damage and in the end thr bones didnt fuse and the blood flow to my femoral ball was lost. O developed avascular necrosis or death of the femoral head. And i had 2 options at 18. Either a hip fusion where they remove the ball completely and directly connect my femur to my hip socket and i wouod have walked funny. For life. Or a THR (TOTAL HIP REPLACEMENT) Both the ball and socket had to be replaced. I opted for the THR to have apre average life. I got a ceramic on ceramic hip socket and ball. And i hat the anterior surgery where they eneter the hip joint from the front of your leg. The posterior surgery is a j shaped incision on your buttocks. And they go in thru the back. In the long run I was up and walking again in 2 days after the replacement. 2 weeks in PT AND OT and then i was done. Only negative is you cant sprint full speed from a complete stand still for a risk of jerking you hip and dislocating the joint . And you require a new hip bapl and socket around every 10 to 20 years depending on usage and potential damages. Im on year 8. And im starting to develop pain again and lack of range of motion. I know when the pressure drops or rises outside. It hurts really bad when its gonna be cold or we are gonna have precipitation. So winter is the worst season. But all in all im happy i got the THR.
I was diagnosed with ghd, im told by my parents when i was very young. I always felt abnormal because of it. I’m 20 now. I am 5 ‘8 so the treatment really worked for me as i was expexted to be much shorter without it. I wish i didn’t have this deficiency of course and dont know if i still am deficient. Either way there’s nothing that i want to do about it except maybe getting a blood test to see my levels.
@@adityasomde8974 go see aj endocrinologist. Zooner then later. If your growth plate is fused and has no gao to grow then HGH wont work for you to grow taller
For everyone feeling self conscious about their height, I too experienced the joy of growing taller than someone in 6th grade. I have a bit of a competitive spirit so I may have been too overjoyed, lol. I'm currently somewhere between 5 foot 1 and 5 foot 2. Anytime I bring it up I warn people that I am able to fit through their doggy door (if they have a dog) and break into their house. I will also be able to find an exit more easily in a burning building than the taller ones and I will statistically live longer. If you're a guy, as long as you have a girl who's shorter than you you're good. People have preferences but at the end of the day no one really cares about how tall you are besides people who have no life.
Its usually covered by insurance as its a medically necessary treatment. It cause many effects on the body besides just short stature and high weight. Its not an elective treatment. Find an endocrinologist near you.

When I was in elementary School, the school nurse checked me and told my parents I wouldnt be much taller than 163 cm ich, like 5.4 feet. but hey, she was totaly wrong! remember, I was always the little kid in school and I hated it every single day! at least i got a decent height now

No don't take them they will probably work but it's not good to take injections unless prescribed. I promise it's a curse to have to take shots everyday because of this disorder

Guys you actually can stimulate the growth hormone when I was in 9th grade I was 5 ft 3 and now I'm in 10th grade and now I'm 5 ft 8 how did I do it by sprinting. Sprinting can actually stimulate you growth hormone by 771% so do sprints regularly. You have to increase the amoun of calcium intake by doing this you will have strong and long bones. You have to eat all the time. I am 15 (in 2024) and i started my GHD treatment (injections) in February 2018. When I was 8yrs 3 months my height was 116cm (3ft 9in). Now that i’m 15 the last time I went to the doctors I was 146.3cm (4ft 9in) so i grew 1 feet in 7 years😂😂 Before they diagnosed me with ghd i took an mri scan and blood tests and x-rays. i’ve been doing treatment for 7 years and hoping to finish it once i’m 16. if u have any questions pls feel free to ask❤❤
These videos are amazing. I have a question, can we increase HGH production in our body by simply jumping up and down? or that doesn't help in increasing growth hormone. I heard High intensity workouts helps increase HGH but then I thought of just jumping So what's actually going on will it help or not?
Highly doubt it with GHD that jumping or even intense work out will affect your GH release. Now its all very common for kids with GHD to have pituitary dwarfism, hypo or hyperthyroidism and testosterone or estrogen deffinciecy. Only real qay for for TSH T3 T4 AND other hormones that start puberty qnd growth in young men and women is to be on a various selection of horormone drugs. I was 5 2 and 220 pound at 16 in sophmore year of high school. Took testosterone and HGH twice a day. And levothyroxine for hypothyroidism. In 9 momth i grew fro. 5 2 to 511. And lost 40 pounds. Justt dont recommend that anyone on thes3 drugs do anything to dangerous. I found it kade my m bones much more soft qnd brittle from growing so fast. Fell roller skating 7 days before my 17 birthday qnd broke my right hip. Slipped capital femoral epiphysis. The ball of my hip broke clean off my femur. And dislocated from my socket. They did 4 surgeries to try qnd repair it. But i eventually developed avascular necrosis. And had to have it either fused or replaced. Went for a THR (TOTLA HIP REPLACEMENT) AND i qalk fairly normal. My right leg is like 2 inces shorter tho. And i still have some pain after 8 years. I know when the pressure drops or rises and went bad weather is coming.

And a shot everyday since july 2020. From 8-12 years old i was on another treatment. Now i’m 13 and still on my daily injections! It’s going great:)
Don’t worry, the shots needles are so small it’s crazy, sometimes I can’t even feel it go into me! If you choose to do it in your legs at times they will bruise FYI

You really wouldn’t want it , you would have to take blood work like I used too every 3-6 months. And if you really thought you had GHD you would need to spend 2 nights in a hospital where they test your blood every hour

No I am taking it and if you have already and the doctor said I have to take it before I complete puberty or it will not effect your hight because after puberty it is pretty much impossible to grow but growth hormone delays puberty so you have time to grow

Hi there! I’m 12 years old I’m almost 4’7and I’ve had GHD since I was 9 and about a month ago I change to the daily easypod shots which is what you should get when you have it. Keep in mind I was supposed to grow 1.39 without all my meds and now with my growth hormones Im estimated to grow about 1.60. Ok so you can get growth hormones depending in how much you are developed. For example period, chest, etc. the less, the better bc it’s the more time you have and more opportunity to grow more with the shots. There’s also a bones in your hand which are also a part of the determination. If there’s space in between the specific bones you have space to grow. This is figured out by an X-Ray on your less-used hand. If you think you could still get some work done please contact a PEDIATRICIAN ENDOCRINOLOGIST they are specialized in this. Men can actually practice this until they are able to cum without actually ejaculating everytime. It is a practice I think..maybe related to karma sutra or something like that.
