I had this when I was a kid (until I was 12 or so) and as someone else here says, my doctor told me(and my mom) it was due to a lack of calcium 🤔

Yep! I called them “calcium spots” for years. Can’t remember when they stopped but I haven’t had them in at least 25 years (I’m 52).

Thank you !! When I was a teen we use to say it was a lack of calcium 😁🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️ now I know it's bubbly nails 😉👍and I can confirm it ends flacking !!!

Have you ever had a client with dyshidrotic eczema? I think I have it and I have no clue of what to do in terms of nail care. My cuticles get infected all the time. It's so annoying!

I just googled it and here is some helpful info: nationaleczema.org/eczema/types-of-eczema/dyshidrotic-eczema/ Ps. The cuticle can’t get infected, the skin fold, yes. There are 2 layers of skin around the nails. Cuticle and skin fold. It’s important to know the difference :). I talk about it in many of my videos

When i read about natural nails health, everywhere it says to avoid water, it's bad for nails, it makes nails sweep and shrink back and overtime this can make the bond in the nails weaker and cause damage,etc, yet for some reasons when my nails are still wet or the 5-10 minutes following a shower or from having my nails in the water for awhile that's when they look their best, they look straight and normal, and once they dry completely and they shrink back to their normal "state" they look uneven, dry, they look wavey, the tip curl in strange ways, sometimes downward sometimes on one side only , and yes that is the case even with regular and almost excessive use of oils (jojoba mainly) but when they are just coming out of water they look perfect?? why??

I need your advice on what has become a chronic problem on one of my nails. It splits vertically from the tip toward the nail bed. No matter how short I trim it, it continues to split and catches on everything and tears it even further up. I’ve tried glue, glueing on a fake nail to try and let it grow out, but it splits in the same place again. Very frustrating and painful. As I’ve aged, my nails have gotten weaker and peel terribly. Firstly,huge thanks for all the info ypu are providing. Secondly, just wanted to leave here a little hack for all the enthusiasts who are having trouble keeping up with the oil treatment-I think I came up with a solution: Since I'm a mom of a toddler I'm constantly washing my hands and have literally 0 seconds to take up a bottle with brush-on oil and put it on every single nail every single time (like 200 times a day 😅) so, what I did is: put some almond oil(mixed it up with some nivea baby oil) in a simple pump bottle (the ones for travel bags) and keep it near my sink. Or I just put lanolin nipple ointment on my nails, since the consistency is easier to handle. Hope this helps anyone!

Hi! I'm following some of your advices for the past month or two and I would like to ask something. I'm a Muslim and I hv to pray 5 times a day in case you don't know. For that we have to do ablution and our nails should not be covered with anything for them to get water. I can't put nail paint/polish/gel for my religious reasons. I hope you understand. For my past 8 to9 years of life (I'm 20 btw) I'm chopping my nails to the edge and my nail bed has shortened. Now I want it back to normal. I'm trying your techniques but can you tell me further tips and tricks. I can't understand how to really shape my nails and how to take care of them all the time. Peace and blessings be upon you. Also plz pray for 🍉

I just turned 60 but my nails started failing me a couple of years ago. I cannot find any info on line about this but all of my nails have raised lines that start at the cuticle and grow the length of my nail. These lines are raised and will catch on fabrics and snag then rip my nail! If I am lacking something? Or if you know what I need, please advise me! Like I said, there is no info on long lines the length of nails, but there is info on lines across the nails (which I don't have)! Any help would be fantastic! Thank you for all you do to help us!

Happened to me some time after I had slammed my finger in a heavy drawer at work. Luckily the only damage was that white spot that gradually made its way up and out my nail. I also thought it was surface damage at first.

the community would have more or a centralized location to get the information from. It would help for supplemental learning along side the videos. The white spots on the nail plates can also come from a mineral deficiency such as calcium iron and zinc.

Hi! Do you have a how to safely remove gel polish at home video? I went against my gut and got a gel polish manicure a couple of weeks ago and I'm so over it now. I tried soaking in acetone, but I think she did SO many layers it's really hanging on. I put a drop of oil on each nail and skin after every time I'm in water because the polish is lifting around all the edges of the nail bed as it grows out thinking that if I do 1) it will help the nail stay healthy, and 2) I figure the oil will seep under the polish and help release it from the nail, but... not so much. I'm not picking at it, so that's good. But I really want this crap off my nails! Any advice from anyone at this point would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Hi, I would like to ask for some advise! I have been painting my nails, with nail polish for 3 years now, and I always apply double base coat, to keep it from pigments. My nails sometimes do turn a little bit yellow, but it isn't that bad. The problem is, I have natural white tips, and my nails (especially my index finger) started to turn transparent. Can you help me? What should I do? I am thinking maybe I should stop painting it for a while, but I did not have a problem until this. What should I do? Do you maybe know why it's turning transparent?

The base coat itself can yellow the nails too. It’s the nitrocellulose I think that makes the nails yellow, not the pigments. I have a link in the description box explaining how. “Why polish yellows nails”
