Very lucidly explained. Congratulations. In India, the insurance awareness is abysmally low! The people are not aware that by paying a fraction, you can cover lot. In India, insurance means LIC!. Of course one can not blame as to why it is so! We are a nation of 130 crores plus with no or little education on insurance to most! But what is surprising is that even the educated is no exception as the insurance knowledge is next to nothing. How many people are aware that by paying Rs.10,000 or even less per year, one can cover one's house with a value of Rs.2 crores! which works out to approx Rs.30 per day? But unfortunately insurance would be the least in their minds! I am hoping that the awareness is spread via various media. Excellent interview!

Still brokers sell only those products of the companies whose commission is high and there is no longer specific customer centric solutions today, and it's actually true on a practical or reality basis.
