I have Galaxy Buds Pro and they are IPX7 Apart from shampoo, I don't understand why they couldn't be used in the shower. I saw a review of them put in a bowl of water and also taking a shower with them but the user manual still says DO NOT do those things. I guess his warranty is void. 😂

Umm, theoretically, yes. 5 is sprays from any angle, so you could, just be careful!

There's a comment asking about whether can we take a shower with an IPX6 and you answer with a yes. But on the other hand, when people asking about gadgets with IP below X6 (such as X5/X4), you said the minimum requirement was IPX7. So which one is it? Can we take a shower with an IPX6 earbuds or not?

Basically taking a shower doesn’t mean you have to immerse the earbuds under the water for too long, as it has the potential to survive quite some water damage..as for the IPx7, you can even dive into the pool without any worries.

hmm you say ipx4 is not meant for heavy rain yet my head lamp gear i recently purchased is rated for ipx4 and surely they have heavy rain in mind when designing it since it's an outdoor product mostly used by campers or fishermen ,but it pays to have a close look at these things before buying ,make sure all the seams are tight and there is rubber where there should be etc
