I'm not Jewish but I have interest in that kabbalah, though I won't read or study it because I don't have the correct mind set for it yet and do not posses prior knowledge in such things and my caution is telling me to hold back for awhile. also to say god left the universe unfinished with such certainty is amazing to me, is there proof of this somewhere? if not then that is an unwise statement.

There are two types of kabbalah, some say three. The two types are theoretical and practical. Practical kabbalah is almost indistinguishable from sorcery (a prohibited biblical practice), but no one knows this side and therefore no one can teach it; it basically does not exist and is therefore harmless. The kabbalists today only know the theoretical side. All the books on kabbalah from authentic sources are theory. Now, others say there is a third dimension called meditation, where names and letters are meditated upon, but there really isn't any basis for this. If you want to meditate on anything, you do not need permission and you do not follow some type of code; you just do it. It is neither part of the kabbalah or advocated in it. People assume that it is part of kabbalah because certain people who where knowledgeable in the subject did meditate on names and such, but that does not mean it is part of the science, if we are to call it a science. Those who call kabbalah witchcraft are referring to the non-existent "practical kabbalah" or "kabbalah maasit"; this is not done today since it was forgotten many hundreds or even thousands of years ago.
I don't agree with that, Ziggy. kabbalah is Gnosticism and Babylonian religion combined near around the date of 70 ad. The word kabbalah means "received" derived from the gotonim
I think you mean the Gaonim or Geonim. There is actually no evidence for the development of kabbalah in or around 70 AD, or before that time in the Babylonian exile. This assumes that the collection of books called the Zohar is factual and the characters mentioned in it were historical.

Madonna is credited with supporting the uhm... Kabbalah as any Rabi skilled in it would explain it... however, she is more likely to be a fan of the Western Magician's Kabbalah. Which isn't a problem, I like both as much as i like all magick, religion, spirituality and... dare i say it, science - especially physics (shame i fried my brain with alcohol over a broken heart 17 years ago, otherwise i could legitimise the "physics" bit) ...uhm. one thing. Something that i almost obsess about. Daath. Both forms of Kabbalah like to run away from it. Why?
