He doesn't know everything. I strongly think that he misinterpreted Lord Guliga with Lord Punjarli. Mohit said the story of Lord Punjarli correctly. But remember Lord Punjarli is mostly portrayed by those yellow make-up men n boar 🐗 while the man shown in the teaser was dark and bloody with fighting instincts. Now who has that fighting n Killin insticts? Lord Guliga and not Lord Punjarli ! Lord Guliga is the protector beside the peace keeper n issues resolving Lord Punjarli. Lord Guliga is the aggrasive one with dark representation which was perfectly shown in the Kantara climax fight where he was bloody n all in mud n on killing spree. Similarly here in the teaser the man shown can be a representation of Lord Guliga and not Lord Punjarli. Forgive me if Lord if there was any mistake in my explanation 🙏🏻

Ha might be.. But guliga with rudraksha and janiwar and all wont suit the demi God.. Guliga was said to be like bhairava kind off demi God and not human form but parashurama was human form. Axe mainly symbolises parashurama and parashurama is great devotee of shiva and was ferocious too.

if you look at his ear rings they depict the Varaha's Danth (teeth) and his Aayudh (weapon) is a Parashu (Axe) his looks portrays Lord Parashuram, who revolved this very earth 21times to slay the Kshatriyas.. and in his other hand he has a Trishul (trident) which i'm guessing he got from Lord Shiva to slay the evil out of his land.

Guliga edit As per legend, he was born out of a stone. The Goddess Parvati discovered this stone in a pile of ash. Guliga was created when Lord Shiva flung this ash into the water and was sent to Lord Vishnu after his birth so that he may serve him. Guliga Daiva at Bhootaradhane Ceremony. However, Guliga was extremely destructive and this greatly annoyed Lord Vishnu. Lord Vishnu exiled Guliga to Earth as a result and tasked him with protecting the people on Earth.[4]

I have a feeling that it is about guliga. Because in the south, the kshetrapalas which is the category to which guliga belongs to ( guliga is the kshetrapala of panjurli devta) are either demi-gods, ganas of the gods or deceased warriors. Maybe this shows the story of guliga.

@@arundathi-zj3tr He could also effectively be Mahadeva, since he has the trishul as well as the axe as the axe was gifted by Mahadeva to Bhagavan Parashuram. But the caption says "during the reign of kadambas", so either of them is highly unlikely, but we cannot rule out the certainity of it being either of them.

Panjurli was an animal later became god by the gtlrace of shiva sakti who grew in kailash but he used to torment people and their crops so lord shiva punished him by giving him the duty to protect people.. And Guliga is a demigod who born when lord shiva touch and threw the stone in vaikuntha by his touch he born mother lakshmi and hari kept him there but he was very destructive and annoying so lord exiled him to earth... Both met at one place and tried to fight but after getting yelled by mata both live together to protect humans

Tulu dynasties and smaller kingdoms in ancient times were created by Bunt chieftains (Alva, Shettys, hegde, ballal, Rai etc ), longest ruling Tulu Kingdom was for 1100 yrs the Alupa Kingdom a tulu speaking Kingdom but who had direct alliance with Kadamba Dynasty(Era which is shown in movie teaser), and kadambas were first kannada Dynasty as in Kingdom to have kanada as its official language. According to one of the various theories regarding the origin of Kadamba Kings, they are connected to the Bunts(Shettys)since one inscription states the kadambas belonging to the Nāga or the serpent lineage to which Bunts also belong and many Bunt families hold the surnames of Kadamba and Varma which were the titles of the Kadambas. So its possible this movie is about historical origins of all Tulu speaking clans and people and also origin of Bhoota daiva worship coastal Karnataka.

As they mentioned its based on kidamba dynasty which exist in 350ce just after stavahana dymasty whose forklore is based on shiva avatar god madhukeswara who also had trisul in hand.. Most probably we will will get the forklore of madhukeswara and not linked with the 1st kantara movie
