The thing i love about this anime is if you understand all the "powers" are just how people are perceiving this incredible basketball ability and not actually happening like that the feeling and heart of the game is all throughput the show. In a unique way its pretty darn realistic

The best part is, if you watch the movie, these guys are still by all rights, playing at a moderate level compared to Americans, especially the black guy who is hyped up to be a Basketballin T-Rex on the court. Its even said in the anime/manga that Kagami is only "decent" compared to Americans so when he goes back to Japan, he's a beast. Makes me wish for a college sequel to see them go up against an American pro squad to see how things would turn up from there.

Imo, kuroko no basket hasn’t even been that crazy, sure visually it doesn’t look realistic but, if you’ve played ball your whole life and stretch your imagination a tiny bit, it’s really damn good. They use real life examples to explain each ability. Everything generally corresponds to a real life skill. Except for the ankle breakers, even though sometimes they show the dribble moves, most of the time an ankle breaker is shown as a teleportation followed by the defender falling on his ass.
