I remember taking a 29 hour hard sleeper in 2015 - unbelievably, you could still crank hoons in the compartment between train cars and I made fast friends

I have travelled for 32 hours on a sleeper train from East to South India . This is relatable . Also the hotel part , I used to get the cheapest one every fucking time .
Suggest going tubing in Laos, I did it and its an experience. Just starting reopening after they lost too many people in 1990-2000s. It used to be all you can drink and then they would lose people down the river, less drinking now but still a lot and the exit is still easy to miss. Nam Song River in Vang Vieng, Laos

The first train and that motel room without a bathroom was wild. I'm not sure bullet trains in America would be preferred over flying from state to state.
