This is a genuinely solid video. Typically with informational ones they try to hard to hold the viewers attention and end up distracting the viewer instead, this was delivered perfectly. Thanks
Great video. I love your use of examples, the multiple camera angles, and your use of text graphics to highlight main points. And of course I’m glad you’re keeping Aristotle alive.
I found this video so helpful and you explained it so well I like the tips and examples you gave. It made me understand Logos a little bit more and how to use it. Thank you.
This is an excellent video. You used outstanding examples to clarify the content, and you highlighted your main points, which are very useful for us to create a great persuasive speech. Thank you!
Today I learned that Logos doesn't only rely on good evidence, but it also relies on having a good connection between your evidence and your claims. For example if I were to say that yes and no questions are bad to keep conversations, people wouldn't be convinced and simply ignore me. However if I were to give a connection between why yes/no question are bad then people are more inclined to pay attention. Since Logos appeals to the logical sense of people the speaker needs to give evidence for their claims.
SAMEEEEEE 😂 I LITERALLY HAVE AN ASSIGNMENT OF UNDERSTANDING ADS PART 2 BECAUSE I WAS DOING PART ONE WITH MY CLASSMATES AND NOW I HAVE TO DO ALONE AND I DON'T UNDERSTAND ANYTHING SO I CAME HERE 😂 LMAO I know that I'm replying to a comment that was 9 months ago but I don't care 😂 and today's the last day of all my school and we're going back to school FINALLY 😂😆😆
@@beginostrich7619 WOW 🤯 THAT'S SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO COOOOOLLLL, I'm literally about to begin my online class in about 4 minutes 😂, I've always wondered what it was like being homeschooled and now called with taught me what it's like 😂
Logos is a computer writing a program in order to figure out what a program is without understanding why it was programmed to do that. Its brilliant. Its a freak in a work of art.
When you know how something works no one can lie to you. When appealing to someone's Logos/logic/(ability to reason out how things work) it is best not to lie or present what you think is true but it is not. If you don't know "HOW" something works you shouldn't be talking at all. Those who know better will dismiss you as a liar or ignorant.
According to St. John, In the beginning, there was the Logos, and the Logos was with God and the Logos was God. The Logos was made flesh, and he dwelt among us (John 1)
Thank you, this is also really helpful in listening to others speak to find them credible, I especially like the point of including relevant evidence to back up an argument.
Yes, logos has several definitions like many words. This use of logos is from the 4th century BC. The book of John was written after that and uses the word differently than Aristotle used it. By the way, I'm a committed Christian.
