In this episode, we are going to discuss the oldest but important systems used in the Lloyd’s by the syndicates to manage their reinsurance portfolio. This system is called as Lloyd’s Outwards Reinsurance System (LORS). Sometimes it is also referred to as Lloyd’s Outwards Reinsurance Scheme (LORS). Well, LORS is used to process reinsurance transactions between Lloyd’s syndicate, brokers, and reinsurers.
The information about the LORS system is very rare and you can’t find much about it on the open internet. I can say this is a piece of very special and interesting information.
