Almost 10 years after its inception, the ISL is yet to become a fully FIFA compliant football league. There is not a single football #stadium in the country. Elite football players are not interested in playing football on the #cricket field. I don't even know what is the condition of the football stadium in Gujarat now. Actually the organizers are not #interested in raising the ISL to FIFA Standard. The Indian national football team is #suffering due to the irregularities of the ISL administration. They don't get the best #players. They still played low quality football throughout the Afc Asian cup. Indian football has been put to shame. #ISL needs a lot of work. Players playing international matches with fear and anxiety. Inexperience is evident. Players from other teams use their experience of playing in afc champions league, afc asia cup and European leagues for their country. India's participation in afc matches should be increased. #Slots should be added. Some people are created the ISL in the same format as the #IPL. You can see that kind of debt in ISL. It should be recognized that ISL is not a football #tournament but a football league. Even if the Indian football team changes the coach, it is not possible to make any change without quality players. In 10 years of ISL nothing has reached the Indian National Team. Sad but true. To bring the ISL up to #FIFA standards, the first step is to switch to a league #format entirely. After all league matches in the league, the team that tops the table should be declared as the #winner of the league. Semifinals and Finals should be #removed. ISL should be divided into 3 divisions. ISL first division, ISL second division, ISL third division. 14 football clubs should participate in all the three divisions. #14+14+14=42 professional football clubs total. Maximum young players should be selected from these 42 teams for the Indian National football team without any recommendation or bribe. At least this much should be done to grow football in India. #VAR should come. For the first time, a football team in India has to enter the ISL through the ISL third division. It needs promotion and #relegation. There are only Indian football players in the third division. The last 2 teams in the table of the third division should be relegated and new teams should be admitted instead. Third division Table top 2 teams should be promoted to ISL second division. Now the last 2 teams in the ISL second division table have to be relegated to the ISL third division. Foreign players should be restricted in ISL second division as well. Only 9 Indian players + 2 foreign players are allowed on the ground during the match. Now the first 2 teams to top the ISL second division table should be promoted to the ISL first division The last 2 teams in the ISL first division table have to be relegated to the ISL second division. In the ISL first division too, there should be some restriction on foreign players. Maximum 4 #foreign players on the ground. #Present ISL should be declared as ISL first division #Existing I league should be renamed as ISL second division #ISL should have three divisions. #Play more international fixtures to players overcome fear and anxiety, Inexperience # Play friendly match with Latin American teams and European teams #ISL first division Table top 2 teams should be given entry to Afc champions league. #3rd, 4th position should be given entry to Afc Cup. #The ISL Super Cup should be held with the table top 16 teams (f6+s5+t5) of the three divisions, without break the flow of ISL matches. #ISL league winner vs ISL super cup winner match is required. #Appoint a new Head coach from Germany, Italy, Spain, Argentina,France, Portugal Consider These countries #che3out

Start spending and supporting your local clubs more than foreign based clubs first. Can't expect govt to do all the work. People too have to make it worthwhile to watch and support. Cant force a population to love another sport just because its popular in the world but not as much in India. End of the day you require money to keep things going, simply making fsdl a scapegoat isn't going to work.

I seriously am unable to comprehend how some people in India support foreign clubs while completely ignoring national ones. What is the "connect"? I suspect it has something to do with social media. Since I don't use social media, the only football that I feel worth investing my time into is of ISL. If ordinary people start watching local games then how will they get likes or views on their posts? I might be wrong but I can't find any other logical reasoning to that. Don't give excuse of "good quality football", if that were the case then y'all would be neutral and would watch some games out of curiosity but y'all are die hard fans of certain clubs which makes no sense. This lands me to a conclusion that people in India actually don't care about football, they just want to obsess over the "trending thing". So the way forward is to make football trend in India. The easiest way is to bribe FIFA officials into hosting WC in India just like Qatar and now Saudi. If sheep in India see "their" team play the WC, and if by any chance we get one win, then it might just start a revolution. Children then might want to play the game coz then it will get them fame and money.
