Watching the show as braindless and, as you said, infantile entertainment has made it enjoyable... then again, that's me talking after years without an uplifting, fun, cheerful, and unironic cartoon in years. Look, I've been craving a show which is just a good guy trying to do his best to help others and doing actually heroic things that this is enjoyable. That said, yes, I wish even kids shows had more thought put into them. Best example being Bluey, which tackles hard hitting subjects such as infertility, parenting doubts, and even depression in a surprisingly mature and subtle way without losing its easygoing charm and being for kids and adults to enjoy.
I think when people say ''Western animation needs to learn from anime.'' this isn't what they have in mind. They usually mean better animation, better writing, and better action. Not sailor moon-like transformation and ''funny'' faces. It's too anime for me. It tires way too hard to be ‘’kawaii desu’’. Bummer there is no lyrics in the opening and the music doesn't feel like anything Superman. It's just a generic guitar. At least there is an intro instead of just a title card. We need the art of the opening songs back.
Oh, so a transformation sequence is never just a transformation sequence, it's specifically Sailor Moon-like transformation sequence, is it? I'm sorry, which fucking Sailor Moon character transforms like this? I can't think of a single character who transforms the way Superman did, can you?
@@0deadx21 Superman already had his ''transformation sequence'', being a red and blue blur, opening his shirt to reveal the S, going into telephone booth.
Yeah, I'm not really into this show as some people seem to be. The villains especially don't do it for me since they don't look what they're supposed to, and they don't act like it either. The show is trying really hard to be anime, but I don't think it reaches that point. Especially since the animation doesn't seem to have as much effort put into it. The moment from the start also felt weird with Clark acting like a clutz and breaking things despite having powers for like a decade (and no it wasn't about him being nervous that day, Jimmy said weird things like that happened previously). And yeah, Clark and Lois falling for each other was way too quick. Which kinda how the episodes feel as well. The pacing is a mess
I'm 50 and still watch cartoons for today's kids. Preschool superhero shows are more heroic than the stuff made for adults and I'll take Paw Patrol's Mighty Pups over Zac Snyder's Justice League or Bluey over any sitcom out there now. A good story is where you find it and I don't care who it was made for. If I like, being "made for me" is superfluous. Kind of like their approach to alleged "kids shows" that skipped the older kids right to the college graduates who didn't grow up.
Writting wise I like that Clark is in fact this musclebound cinnamonroll. He is a Kansas Farboy with a heart of gold. Lois is actually very well received because we remember how large and tall Clark is supposed to be. So it isn't that Lois is tiny and Childlike. It's that Superman is practically a Giga Chad. But you are 100% correct. The writting is pretty bad.
So basically like Ban and Elaine from 7ds. I don't see Lois looking a 14 year old because of that, but since she looks like Luiz from the Owl House, that probably doesn't help
I was happy when clark called louis on her bs and didnt simp right away but still he was questioning if he being to harsh and that i didnt like. Superman pretends be naive but clark isnt naive hes actually a highly intelligent i think he even has a photographic memory like hes got a super brain its so weird to see him like clueless not sure about himself or anything and hes not acting hes actually being this way and that's not who he is. His alter ego is a dork whos acts like hes out of touch but in realty he is infact a giga chad
This cartoon is definitely going for that Pokemon style kids anime. I went into MAwS knowing that this was not going to be Superman the Animated Series. I knew most of characters were going to be very different. I knew the animation wasn't going to blow my mind, nor did I expect the writing to be amazing. What I think makes this show still fun to watch for me is how the Synderverse portrayed Superman. He's no longer a perfect god amongst puny man. He feels far more human here. Making him younger adds to this, since he's less experienced with his powers. I guess what I really like about this show *is* the fact that it's simple. Would I prefer a Teen Titans level quality? Yes, definitely. But what we got isn't terrible. I look back at Transformers Animated, and how it was criticized heavily for being so drastically different from the 80s cartoon. Nowadays it's considered 1 of the best shows in the franchise. I'm not saying MAwS will get that exact treatment, but doing things differently isn't automatically bad. (I can't forgive the Slade look tho).
Man, people must have lowered their standards for entertainment because the fact there’s quite a number of people who say this show is good despite its many flaws is disappointing. And worrisome because that means we’re not gonna get good entertainment if people continue to accept these subpar shows.
I can’t help but agree. It doesn’t seem as bad as some of the other superhero content we’ve gotten, but I honestly don’t understand why people think this show is great.
Also yes, supes does have healing, sun powers, baby. Also also, french weebsh*t the only kind of western weebsh*t that matters, wakfu and oban go hard on just aesthetics alone
Any show with this art style i.e.: Voltron, Castlevania, SheRa etc, I already know it's not worth my time. I did start off enjoying Voltron when I was a teen but god these shows always seem to have incompetent writers and boring generic character designs. The animation style always looks so unrendered and stiff to me. I wish there was more diversity with styles with these shows.
i still consider the DCAU (DC comics animated universe) as my main DC universe. they tried their best to translate the comics into animated shows and they succeeded to near perfection. unlike the DCAU, the new shows feel like they want to be something else, something else popular (Anime, or adult comedy shows) instead of building from the comics/past shows.
Neuron activation lois and more traditional values clark carrying tf out of this shows goodwill, haven't watched it in full yet but from everything I have seen it's more "awkward" than sweet(if that's the word for it) ironic that the og stas comes off more mature than this lol, considering it's made in a time when adult and kids media was less homogeneous lol
It's... not actually made for Adult Swim. It's made for Cartoon Network. But during the merger, the show, which was already mid-production, was almost going to be canceled to be a tax-write off, cmiiw. Y'know, Zaslav shenanigans... So to save the show, Adult Swim picked it up and aired it. I personally like it. It's both new and comic-accurate Superman that merges the traditional and modern elements of the Superman mythos from the comics. Plus, a lot of easter eggs that sets up the larger DC universe for this show. Hints of Suicide Squad, hints of Justice League, hints of Brainiac, Starro, The Flash, etc, etc. Whoever is writing this show is a fan of DC in general and it shows. The electricity part with Superman is either a nod towards the 90s Superman or Jonathan Kent's own electricity powers in the comics. So yeah, they seem to know their stuff. It is a bit basic, but I can enjoy it as a feel-good show. The show's probably gonna get progressively darker as elements like Suicide Squad gets introduced, or heck, Batman stuffs, but ya know, I can enjoy a feel-good show like this.
You're welcome to like it and I'm not going to come down on you for it. As an original series I might enjoy it more but this is no way comic accurate outside of Clark and his parents. It's just names on new characters. I know the comics. I get the "Flamebird" reference. They looked up names in a wiki or something and worked them onto their characters. Maybe Amanda Waller looks right but that's all I'll give you when it comes to comic accuracy. The "electric" part is just his powers being unlocked and you can tell it's coming from the ship/base/whatever that is in the Kents' backyard. I don't think it's a reference to Superman Blue. It's just more anime insertion, like how Clark is given his outfit before Martha improves it.
@ShadowWingTronix Um the show never claimed to be "comic accurate" it's an adaption. The old Superman show was far from comic accurate did you feel the same way about that? I'll say one thing this show is the most faithful version of Superman I've ever seen. Acts like Superman should act. If you guys wanna get on high horses and hate the show because of bs lame made up reasons more power to you.
DC Comics has many black characters that could be added to this garbage show, instead of race-swapping Jimmy Olson. Former US Marine Corps serviceman John "Green Lantern" Stewart joining The Daily Planet as a military consultant? John "Steel" Henry as an engineer working on Lex Corp's robots, turned whistleblower when he learns Lex Luthor intends to sell the robots to enemy nations, and whom Superman has to rescue when Luthor tries to silence Henry?
DC has changed Brainaic and toymans design constantly, I don't see a problem doing it to lois and Jimmy. One version of Brainiac was a steel robot before they changed it to the green one toyaman has changed race hight weight before. I don't get why that wasn't a problem but this is
@@daraghokane4236 Because it's LAZY. Those pushing for "diversity" and "inclusion," often refuse to invest the necessary SKILLS and EFFORT to create ORIGINAL CHARACTERS who happen to be diverse and inclusive. Long-time comic book fans will not be fooled by the FALSE diversity and inclusion such LAZY artists promote.
@@longtsun8286 Yes if there is anything a show about a alien refugee living in America, should not talk about its diversity and inclusion. Im pretty sure silver age jimmy was a new god a magic imp a alien, green skin etc. toyman and Brainics desings changed constantly because it doesn't actually matter if toyman or Brainic is skinny or fat etc just that there willing to kill people unless superman stops him. Jimmy being ginger never matted in any story to my knowledge
@@daraghokane4236 Because it’s disrespectful, even borderline racist because they believe other ethnicities are worth hand-me down characters instead of originality. Meanwhile Static Shock has proven that new, original characters of another ethnicity can be popular.
@@Sol36900 Was it racist when a writter changed Branic from A metal rbot to a green skin one to just a person looking alien, Hell the new gods were reborn as people on earth in one comic in different bodies. No problem with them changing there desings. What does toyman look like whats his offical look because there are 10 differnt versions
As someone who has only seen one episode of the show, I overall enjoyed it. The romance I didn’t mind, and I am biased towards Lois’s design because tomboy, but I did find the writing annoyingly basic. I also hate Superman normally, so him having a more distinct/different personality is kinda nice.
I really like this version of Superman/Clark Kent. I never cared much about him because previously to me he was just some character that existed to make the shows happen. His design and personality in this show are really appealing.
@@ab-gailnah, it is legit just superman. This literally feels like the adventures of Superman with more anime like aesthetics. The same plot points and everything.
America used to know how to do this. Most of the Disney cartoons from the 80s or early 90 did this. (talking Ducktales, darkwing Duck, GummieBears, etc). The original Batman series type shows did the same thing. They even made straight adult shows that kids could also watch but would only get about half the jokes (Animaniacs or Freakazoid comes to mind.) They just lost their way when hacks started being in charge and didn't understand the material. (like the guy that made that god awful Thundercats remake that "grew up" on the original Thundercats he says. But he was like 25.)
@@BoomerZ.artist oh well I was taking more in the realms of making Berserk dark and gritty And contrasting it with more teen friendly stuff like most Shounen.
@@juandiegotorres9632 That’s actually a different point than your original one. Do you mean that different animes can have a broader age range than modern American cartoons do?
The black eye being threre and going away was an animation mistake not because he can heal fast. The sun could heal any injury in silver age. Hes not indestructible he's just very hard to hurt a bullet cant hurt him but the robot lasers can there made with krypton tech
From what i seen so far, i think the things that carry this show is the character interactions and characterization of Superman/Clark Kent and Lois Lane. Its great wholesomeness, BUT so far the writing is pretty basic to meh which I think its what the writers were wanting to go for. Just good old wholesomeness. Now there are things that annoy me like gingercide Jimmy and of course edgy Jerry- I mean Deathstroke, but I hope this will change or improve in the future like Deathstroke getting injured in the face to get rid of that stupid edgelord hair bang LOL
I tried to watch the second episode but they just got even more things wrong. Perry handing the entire story over to Steve Lombard, Cat Grant, and Ron Troupe because they're actually reporters and our trio are interns? No, Perry would totally have them WORK with our trio because he would encourage good reporting. Even when "real" Perry got mad at Jimmy he still pushed for the kid to take the newspaper business seriously and work to become a good reporter. As for the three mentioned reporters...Steve and Cat, where they to exist in real life, would hate the perky jerks they were written as, while Ron...sorry, Ronnie Troupe is the black girl sick of the white people nonsense but still not apologize for essentially stealing all of Lois, Clark, and Jimmy's research. What finally has be blocked is the fact that we get a scene with a TV news anchor who looks more like Lois Lane than the Lois of the comics. At this point I went past "did they just slap famous names on another new concept" and right to "okay, now you're just trolling". I've been trying to get myself to watch it for review but I can't bring myself to watch it. Superman is the only character they got right and I want to see more of the Kryptonian stuff but everything around him and his parents is wrong and it's hard for me to get into it.
7:10 I’ve been saying this for a while now. You want to know why western animation is dying, because we aren’t attracting a new audience, I.e kids, anymore.
7:09 "There's a lot of adults who enjoy kids cartoons that want to make cartoons for other adults that enjoy kids cartoons" That sums up My Adventures With Superman pretty well, along with other cartoons like it (e.g., Netflix's She-ra). They're written by and for the emotionally underdeveloped Tumblr-crowd that vicariously lives through these cartoons. These shows are basically fantasies and therapy sessions for this adult audience, hence the similar hallmarks between them (e.g., the DND episode, the prom episode, romance drama, etc.). The show isn't the worst from what I've seen (it could've been fine as an original IP), but Clark, Lois, and Jimmy all act like they're in a Tumblr fanfiction. I'm glad that they made them adults for this, so at least any mature moments won't feel as inherently creepy (looking at you, Velma). However, they all act so childish, mainly Lois and Jimmy. These guys are presumably in their 20s, yet they act like anime high school kids, even at their place of work. This show feels like writing of Netflix's She-ra fused with the aesthetic of Voltron: Legendary Defender. These characters acted more mature in the DC kids cartoons from the 90s to the pre-2010s than they do in this show. Even less serious shows like 'Batman: The Brave and The Bold' and 'Justice League: Action' had the characters be more mature than this.
@flarestorm9417 Dude you are literally talking nothing right now. I’m sorry you guys can’t accept that people, especially Superman fans, actually like this show. And seriously, tumblr this, stunted adults? By your logic you’re not much different if you still enjoy the ‘mature’ shows from your childhood.
I've come across people mentioning the show but they never talk about it or say how good it is. They only mention how cute Clark is, draw Clark being cute or show screen caps of him being cute and blushing.
Nah it's good. It's a superman cartoon with anime aesthetics. You're going to get a superman basic ass show. It isn't mind blowing because Superman stories aren't mind blowing unless you make evil Superman stories. But this show is basic superman and Lois show. This isn't kingdom come, injustice, red sun or Ultraman superman, which are just better versions because it is darker. This is basic superman with lois and Clark doing investigation reporting and Clark going superman to save the day.
@@Needler13 Thanks! Yeah, that doesn't really sound interesting to me, I've only liked superman with the stories you mentioned, or when he is with the justice league, or batman team up.
@@Needler13that is a profoundly stupid defense of the show the og animated series is some of the most beloved superman content and that was more wholesome than it was edgy or dark you clearly don't consume alot of superman media if you think its all edgy filth its unfortunate how snyder has ruined the characters legacy for alot of younger people
I love that pretty much literally everyone came to the conclusion that Lois is literally just the protagonist from the Owlhouse. Deathstroke is such a poor choice for a villain. His power level is around Captain America, Superman is going to fold him like its laundry day. They aren't even thematically connected in any way that I can think of. Also, maybe its just me, but Superman feels way to neurotic. I know Superman with Christopher Reeves Clark came across as neurotic, but the whole point was that it was an act, and there is a great scene where he talks to Lois, and briefly switches from his Clark to his Superman persona, and you can see this power and confidence that comes through just from his mannerisms. I'll stick to re-reading A Superman For All Seasons.
The defense of shoddy workmanship as "Oh it's just a kid's cartoon" is utter bull. Do they think we didn't notice when Michaelangelo's bandana was suddenly blue instead of orange for a few frames, or if Ray's voice suddenly came out of Egon's mouth for a line of dialogue or when Duke and the Joe's suddenly had missing or overlapped color patches or reused animation cells? No, we noticed. And that was back when animated was hella more expensive and hand damn drawn. There's no excuse for these kind of mistakes and laziness with today's level of technology and budgets.
I've noticed that every positive thing I've heard about this show is ALWAYS prefaced with "BUT TOMBOY LOIS" and that say says a lot to me. =/ I didnt even KNOW about them race swapping Jimmy! I read somewhere that Superman has a Sailor Moon style transformation? WHY?! SSJ blue electricity and ripping off MHA? This is gonna be an ATOMIC pass from me.
In fairness All might and deku are clearly inspired by superman all might is superman and Deck is clark kent. So refrencing a show that refences superman is fine
I’d be interested in seeing episode recaps. I watched the first episode on RU-vid and thought it was pretty okay. Lois’ youthful exuberance was a bit over the top and the stuff with Jimmy… happened, but I really liked the portrayal of Clark. It seems cheesy and breezy, but overall fun. I prefer something like this to the brooding dower vide DC has put in so many of his products
I actually really love My Adventures with Superman. It really does capture a more joyous side of Superman that I don’t feel others may have done, including Snyder’s ones.
Be personally I never get why people criticize the animation Because other than in it''s Voltron on a lower budget it can be compared to invincible as well
I don't understand why you would want to compete with anime anyway. They will probably never get the weebs away from their waifu, those people can be pretty hardcore about what they like. And Shonen fans, who it probably should be aimed at, have tons of series that will be ahead of this one. The other vocal crowd who support it probably won't watch it and only support it on social media.
I heard nothing but pleasant surprises all around for the first 3 episodes. I think its a lot of fun too. Its a lighthearted kids show, its something i would be comfortable having my nieces and nephews watch. It's definietly a good show, nothing like HGS at all. Lois Lane is a normal sized person, Clark is just 6.5" I think you should take a breather because I think you just happened to be a bit grumpy when going into this show.
Oh I don't know. I find the series a bit cute. At least this Lois isn't stuck up and is willing to admit her flaws such as her own selfishness from time to time. She kind of reminds me of Casca (from Berserk) design wise. And Livewire has a reason to hate Superman for meddling with her plans unlike her original counterpart that hated him for no reason except for her own biased opinions on him. I will admit I'm not too keen on some designs such as Livewire. Race swapping Jimmy isn't as bad as I thought since he plays in as a third wheel, kind of helps keep the romance slow pacing when he's around. This is just my opinion of course. But let's take it slow and see if the story won't screw it up if you know what I mean. Hey at least it's not like those YA comics you've read, it could be worse.
Black Jimmy Olsen is cursed. I mean, I thought people hated the black best friend trope? It’s also just an awful design. Are we gingers just invisible to these people 😭
I'll be very honest I decided not to watch the show because it was the same people that did the animation for the Netflix Voltron show. My girlfriend is upset with me that I'm not even giving the show a chance.
Or, hear me out, Superman has that electric visual so WB can say it's a different and derivative character so they don't have to pay royalties to Siegal and Schuster. But we all know megacorporations are fair and pay what they are supposed to.
Sooooo... all the arguments are like... not arguments? Just saying that the design are bad don't actually pinpoint exactly why is bad. Lois have the "short hair" before, the "romantic " part of the series is better than alot of other interpretations, she likes Clark first, and as a fan of superman i love this. Also, there's many things here that you said is bad but is in fact better than most of superman interpretation, and fits the characters. Yeah, the writing is kinda too simple, but in my opinion, it works, its for everyone. But in the and of the day is already very well received, by people who actually understands superman. I hope it gets better to be honesty. Most of anime is very "infantile " even, dragonball and sometimes onepiece can also be stupid and infantile in some jokes.
You calling most anime infantile isn't a defense for superman lol yeah alot of anime is shit whats your point? You can't on one hand say the writing is "too" simple and than act like thats not an inherent flaw even while defending it you shit on the writing and the reason for that is because its writing is infantile quit coping and just accept the show you like is garbage
"In my opinion, it works" You gotta love how you attack dannphan for not making arguments *even though she did) only to excuse the bad writing without making an arguement and just asserting an opinion
@@kingj9664 I'm quite calm and I'm using the sam energy as those defending it if you were trying to be consistent you'd be telling everyone defending the show to calm down
It's not good. I think most def Superman and DC fans that are into the comics or lore won't like it. It's overrated to me. Most of the characters are look or act out of character, the writing and "comedy" sucks too. Edit: Please do more reviews, because it does it *worse*. The way they portray the other characters is bad and the voice acting for this show, is terrible or annoying.
It's funny seeing everywhere, even in this very comments section people saying that they enjoy this show despite them not being Superman fans... and not seeing the problem with that. Yeah, sure, OK, you enjoy the show... but you're basically admitting it's a poor adaptation of the source material if it needs to be so different for you to like it. And this is what this is, a reasonably enjoyable show in its own rights, but a very bad adaptation of the source material. It's like She-Ra and the Princesses of Power (incidentally by the same creators). They took an established brand, decided to screw the existent fanbase and direct it towards a very specific target audience that normally wouldn't be interested (not counting children, who will mostly watch anything). So the show is a success with that audience but doesn't resonate with fans of the source material (in general terms, of course, as there's always going to be some overlap, since some people are perfectly capable of enjoying both). And just like that show, fans seem to like it due to certain things the show does, regardless of how well it does them (not very well) or how good the writing is (not very good). I thought She-Ra was pretty mid. I watched the whole thing, mostly out of apathy, and at no point I felt it was great or terrible. This looks like more of the same: an extraordinarily middle-of-the-road thing that's going to get its target audience elated and fans of the original annoyed without ever doing anything memorable in any capacity.
The show was good DC characters changing and being redesinged happens alot Toyamn is a fat small guy that will kill evil people, no Hes a skinny guy that kills kids, no hes a small asain kid that helps superman. No all these toymen are robots made by the real toyman. The thing that was consistent was he builds robots or toys that can fight superman. This deathstroke is just younger hasn't his powers yet he's still a mercenary, when he ages he will get gray hair.
I have watched all the three episodes out so far and yeah their are plot points, that Superman is good and in my opinion SOME of the animation is good but MY GODDDDDDD is the writing/art style terrible and straight hot garbage for “Modern audiences”( I.E. toxic teenage Stans, queer people, and liberals). This show was made to pander to a certain audiences and the shit they like and not to make a good show with a good story.
I love my himbo man Clark and I like Lois' design a lot. Other than that, there's not much I enjoy about the series so far. I feel the pacing is wack, animation is the bare minimum and the romance is rushed and awkward. I had high hopes just because I miss my cute Clark, but damn... I'll keep watching just to save Clark screenshots, but my brain is officially turned off. Don't know how much else I could enjoy this series otherwise.
@@dandyman2182 I don't think he's dumb at all, what I meant with "himbo" is just an honest, unequivocally good sweet guy (with huge knockers). As opposed to how they've been portraying him for the past 20 years. And I love my eye candy. My main problem with this show is the writing. They have dumbed down every character, not just Clark.
I actually liked the show. Lois' redesign was pretty cool too. My taste in damsels in distress has waned over the years. And remember, this is the beginning of superman. He's not yet sure if he wants to be a super hero. And Clark is just so adorable, and must be protected. Though his transformation caught me offguard for a minute there. I wonder if they'll ever bring Batman into the mix... or even Wonderwoman for that matter. Still, I adore the show, and will watch it till the end.
I like this review on the superman for the fact that its reviewing a show's floss not ranting about it. Although I see it as more as voltron with a shorter budget 🤷♂️ The show is like a 7/10 to be honest
Clark is a clutz. He'll stumble upon things and make some minor mistakes when he's somewhere he feels comfortable (a trait that was at first him pretending to be weak and feeble to pass off as not-Superman in the original comics, but with time the writers decided to make that a trait of his to humanize him), but in this show he's just Tumblr levels of awkward instead! Blushing constantly, not having any answers to give Louis when she interviews him, embarrassing himself, and he doesn't even defeat the Intergang, they just defeat themselves for him! People are posting comparisons between the interview and the Intergang fight from the Animated Series and MAWS, and there is no comparison, things were much better three decades ago!
I am so sick of that stupid thing you all really need to move on I'm not saying the animated Superman cartoonist bad because it's not I love that 1 I grow up on it but just let this thing be its own thing.
What was the reason to make Livewire like this? I'm not even talking about raceswap. I think her race is not important to her story, so I don't mind tthat decision. But her new costume and hair... Her costume just looks boring. It doesn't make any sense at all Why it's like that. When the original is ICONIC and most importantly MEMORABLE. And her hair? Why did they do this to her? It look's awful. People also talk about "gingercide" which actually sounds funny to me since black people can have red hair too. The problem is.. they DIDN'T give him a red hair😭
superman has both actually healing and invulnerability i feel they are trying to go for 90s superman feel where he gets beat up at times he isnt as powerful as he generally is. Maybe here they go with him getting powerful as he ages rather than the sun giving him powers, I am not sure. I was skeptical with this show don't agree with decisions they made. I do enjoy the superman moments though.. reminds me a bit of marvels Spider-Man animation wise.
I think with the Superman plot lines, it's like a year one, with the bad guy of the week being juiced up with kryptonian tech. Explaining why he gets hurt.
Back in the day Anime was seen as the more mature version of Western Animation/Cartoons in terms of art design and writing. Although Western cartoons appear to be geared towards children the writing would often slip in adult humor. Now we have the Weeb bastardization of the two. Anime aesthetics minus the maturity.
That's so spot on it pretty much if Superman: Returns continued in thaf weird choice romcom direction while trying to be anime without the things that make anime "slap". Like where are Lois' cake and booba, insanely good soundtrack, action, charm and dept. Also think the reason it's on [adult swim] is because the action 2020's CN is a bit extra safe. Like they can show action and violence only if it leans more slapstick while there's a slight weight to the action in My Adventures with Superman too much for them too handle these days.
