The exact same thing happened to me. Been going to my eye doctor for years and happened to see another eye doctor in the same center and he told me I had it. I have to get pictures done to my left eye and they will monitor it. As of now, I’m good because it’s far from my retina.
I have it too. Have had 2 injections so far havent lost anymore vision but havent gained much back either. Taking an intifungal will not help your eyes because its the vessels that grow and then leak. Then the fluid gets into your retina at your focal point. Your dr should have you see a specialist to receive eye injections.
@IndianaNaturalDog that's promising news. My doc sees the tissue in my other eye too but it's not effecting my vision right now so he's not treating it. How many injections did you have? I go for my 6th one in a few weeks. I still have a blind spot and always will he says. But my vision has improved some since I started injections. I pray for all who has to deal with this craziness. 🙏
@@AmandaClegg-d1t my 13 y/o daughter had histo a year ago and is still blind in her right eye. She had three injections but the injections actually caused more inflammation so they put her on three months of itraconizole with a 6 day IV dosing of amphotericin B. She was also on prednisone for about 8 weeks. Within three months, the lesion went dormant and all that is left is scar tissue. Unfortunately the subretinal scarring is right over the optic nerve. She's got minimal peripheral vision in the right eye.
I had it in my lungs when I was in my mid twenties. About 10 years later I got it in my eye then fast forward another 10 years and I had veins growing over my eye and I think it was from the same disease Now about 10 years I have it in my eye again. Does this continue to come back and keep going until all vision is lost?
Please help I am 39 years old mom of five and its now affecting my vision and life is so difficult...please help if you can. I used to live in Tennessee Valley River area.
