The buyer representation agreement is a contract between you and the real estate agent you are hiring to help you buy your home. Here are the four most important parts of this agreement:
1. Our agreement specifies the location where we will be working together, such as a county, a city, or a specific address.
2. We also define the duration of our working relationship. Our agreements typically last from 6 months to a year, but we can also have a 30-day trial period if we have never worked together before.
3. The agreement outlines how the agent you are hiring will be compensated. It includes a blank space for inputting either a percentage of the sales price or a flat fee.
4. Retainer fee: If an agent requires a retainer fee, it must be paid before going to view any homes.
Our team does not charge a retainer fee, and we do not collect any earnings until you have successfully closed on the purchase of a home.
If you are looking to buy a home, please contact Ginny or Erin. We are here to answer all your questions and develop a strategy during our buyer planning meeting.
