So basically if you have some sort of remote job (which can afford you a good life in Turkey), you can go to Turkey on a visit visa and later apply for a permit? Arey they still giving permits on remote job basis? Please respond.
Good question. Firstly, remote job means you have a plus point you don’t need any job anywhere. Go visit enjoy in a country and keep making money from your online work too. But to stay in Turkey to get residence. Your online or remote work will not help you to get residence. Some of my friends who are from Spain or Tunisia etc normally they can stay in Turkey 3 months without any visa. Some of them are coming and staying just 3 months and going back. Others who are staying here from a long time Either they took residence permit through Aiesec. Or Either they took work permits. I will explain you how. Most of my friends came to Turkey initially on an interenship purpose with Aiesec. For few months like 1-2 months they did interenship. And then Aiesec helped them to stay here by probably them work permit. Even their internship was finished after 2 months they had a work permit of 1 whole year. So they kept staying in Turkey and did continue doing online work Some other also found some small jobs where they need Portuguese or spanish speakers they worked there for few months later they left the place but they realized their work permit was still active. So these are some examples how my friends are staying here longer In Turkey. But the most common in all of us is AIESEC
If you are working online I don’t think you have to pay any tax. And 140 k TL is too much budget for living in Istanbul . You can live like a king here 😀❤️
