Normal rice-Arua chawal Paraboiled rice - Usuna chawal Sir , normally in Odisha ,we eat this rice regularly bcz in Odisha most people eat "Water rice (Pani Bhat/Pakhal) " insteed of Dal Bhat especially in this summer season, and ""Water rice" from Paraboiled rice is so tasty insteed of Normal rice....and 80% Odisha people like to eat "water rice" in everyday basis...

Chicha Modi wants Fortified ( GMO Rice, less in nutrition, high in health Risk ) Rice to be sold in india. Low nutrition means, low Immunity, which will directly Profits Pharma Mafias on international level. our tradition follows easy accessible, efficient nutrition source, which varies region to region according to environment, weather conditions over the year on particular place, state. now pharma mafias wants low immunity, to increase their sale of medicines and facilities, thus they will apply hook and crook, by any means they will destroy our nutrition chains and sources, all over the country. and our beloved leaders, weather it is from congress, or BJP, or from any other party, these will sold their souls, to fulfill mafia's Dream. What ever Cons or Disadvantages of Traditional rice is, are also present in Liquor Products which are being controlled and distributed by these political parties. they collect heavy taxes from these unhealthy liquors. that wont bother these Netas. but Nutritious Rice is pain in ass for them. We all citizens are being deceived by all political parties now a days, on the name of caste, creed, color, language, local traditions, state boundaries, etc. we fight for with each other for these bastards, but these are puppets of same corporation. The invisible war is on, but we don't realize it. Government will follow that britishers model of loot, by making it legal, by passing a law. all the crooks are there in Lok sabha and vidhan sabha, all curropts are taking charge of our Lives. with our own hard earn money, which they looted as taxes.

I eat parboiling rice in every day. It is very healthy. It's test good 👍. In odisha most people eat parboling rice . It's slightly brown. Our main food is so we eat parboiling rice. We don't eat roti in lunch. So our rice consumption is mora. Parboiling rice keep your stomach safe and it's keep you healthy 😉😋. May be govt of center belongs to North India so they don't understand the facts about this rice. I can't eat other rice except this one . Because it's our food 😋.

Parboiled rice is less sweet and easy to digest for people living in humid climate. Parboiled rice was mostly used earlier in India because at that time there were no high tech. machines for husking of rice and they had to do it manually. So, they used to boil it to loosen the outer layer. Govt. can't force people to eat parboiled rice if they don't like it. Govt. has enough stock for domestic demand, and it's useless to keep a huge stock of it because it can't be exported to other countries. It will get rotten anyway. It's better to suggest farmers to grow other crops which has high demand instead of just purchasing whatever they grow.

Not only in odisha , I am from Nepal we too eat parboiled rice and I am a food technologist so this rice is the best for health and nutrition even for diabetic patients......at my home we make it with ourselves every year and keep for whole year.

I think there is some political interests for the procurement of rise. If centre starts taking less from high producing states the farmers will be demotivated. Centre have to find solution for export more 👍

Export karo....but in US only purchase to make Dosa and idle....it is not useful for others.... farmers need to grow more basmati rice which will have more export value....

As a Doctor I recommend everyone to use parboiled rice.. Because it is rich in vitamins.. Where as plain rice has only carbohydrates and high glycemic inder.... High carbohydrates intake not good for diabetic patients

Parboiled rice is far better than normal rice. I use to take parboiled rice ,digestion is better as compare to normal rice . The size of parboiled rice is little thicker than normal rice.

In Bihar, rular side it was used but process was very hard .nowadays this type of rice is very rare.some people manufacturer this type of rice only for personal use not for commercial purpose.

Weather pattern is most important factor....even though every rice can be paraboiled some just doesn't teast good here in odissa and some southern state rain is much more frequent occurrence than up. Rice verity like 1018 ,pradhan are boiled but puja or basmati can't go through the prosess or they will lose there taste...

U P is not a rice eater like eastern India. They eat Roti and rice at same time. They eat larva rice not usana. Usually usana rice is used to make aliya that is Muril called in Bihar, WB and Odissa.

Let me clarify what Parboiled rice is!!! Go through the Flo chart. 1. Paddy chopped. ( Now go to mill. But wait... You can't go to mill immediately, if you try to separate paddy cover immediately, it will break, nobody gonna buy it.) 2. You have three options. ( You have to give heat to paddy before going to mill. Either you can partially boil it, which will be called Parboiled rice after milling. It's a fast process. Or dig 5ft and Store it for 3-4 months. Or live it for long time. The later two are called Arua rice or normal rice.) * You can't use Parboiled rice for worship purpose. * Parboiled Rice are less expensive compared to normal rice. Due to time factor. * Normal rice tastes better than that of Parboiled Rice

I thing is wrong that parboiled rice is cheaper. Normal India gate rice cost 70-80 rs per kg and parboiled rice cost 100 rs per kg in my area both are of same company. So parboiled is not cheaper. And main use of parboiled rice is in biryani as it does not break and sticks together. That's why hotels use parboiled rice and it's nutrition value is 85% as that of brown rice. Taste is also good that why used in biryani

सर ये तो हमारे यहाँ होता है जब हमलोगों का धान हो जाता है तो इसे पौधों से झार कर अलग कर लेते हैं उसके बाद धान को उबाल कर इसे धूप में सूखा कर घरों में रख लेते हैं अगर इन्हें बेचना होता है तो ये थोरा महंगा बिकता है इसे पक्का चावल[उसना चावल] कहते हैं और जिन धान को नहीं उबाला जाता है उसे कच्चा चावल [अरवा चावल ] कहते हैं

Sir, the parboiled rice takes more time to cook, cooked rice becomes lightly orange and bigger that is not attractive to look. So due to this consumption now a days most of the Hotels and housewives opted for plane normal rice.

Sir odisha Me Parboilee rice = Usuna Chaula Kuha jae.. Log Roj khate hain.. Paddy Ko Pehle Ubalenge Then use Dhup pe dry karenge aisa 2 times kiya jata hai. Then paddy se Rice nikala jata hai..

In West Bengal, we call it siddha chaal (siddha=boiled, chaal=rice)! Most of the people take this in lunch. Don't know what's going wrong! Here comedian leftists will politicize this issue…

USNA chawal(chhattisgarh)-dhan ko adha ubal kar sukhaya jata hai, isko brown rice bolte hai,sugar patient Ke liye best hota hai. Isme se badbu nahi ati hai isko sirf water me ubala jata hai.

Reality is that due to skewed subsidies, production of both Rice and Wheat is in excess. Stock of wheat and rice is traditionally wasted away because the price at which it is procured makes it impossible to sell it in International market. However when an attempt is made to correct this, all Punjabi farmers are up in arms for wheat. But Tamil/Telangana farmers should also protest. This is not fair

The problem here is WTO, should relax its norms, so India can export and end food crisis around the globe. Also china, Philippines and other countries are big market, we could use China strategy and start dumping rice and other agriculture produce until their agriculture sector breaks and they are completely dependent on India for food 😜

the reason why wto doesn't allow india to export agriculture products in huge amount is that Indian govt gives huge amount of subsidy to farmers so they can produce these goods at a cheaper price and other country's govt. do not give subsidy so farmers can't afford to sell their products at as cheap rates as indians this will give a huge advantage to Indian farmers in international markets and other countries will not be able to give us a competition in terms of rates and thus their exports will fall drastically.

The prices of all essential commodities are rising day by day, now if government can lower the price of the Rice then many hungry people can have full meal for two times a day. So I urge the given please release the stocks in low price so that common people can buy more food.

🎉it's not the real fact ,actually fact is govt procure paddy from the farmer directly and through Miller's convert it to rice and distribute it through PDS ,but in telengana what happiness govt procure paddy and convert it to rice both in form of raw rice and parboiled rice and raw rice distribute for PDS purposes and wanted FCI should lift the parboiled paddy from them which is not possible and 2nd thing is telengana procure paddy more than his state production capacity which is also in doubt,because govt procure paddy in more price than the market price so FCI thought that some irregularities behind the reseson

Govts should find feasible solution to procure paraboiled rice it is not we dont want to cultivate other crops we cultivate other crops also but the reason why we are cultivating it is in some lands we cant cultivate other crops because of govt said in some areas farmers in telangana not even cultivated any crops also
