hi, can u please tell what was the datatype of year,temp and city which u initially defined. default is bytearray. have u taken it int,int,chararray? also the file which u created-> is it comma separated or space separated

In this example the result is (year:int,temp:int) i.e all the unique years with max temp; but if i want to get the (year,temp,city) which has max temperature in the whole bag; what should be done?

Pig two modes are:- 1. Local mode 2. MapReduce mode 2nd mode you have shown in video is HDFS mode which is not correct. Pig runs on Apache Hadoop YARN and makes use of MapReduce and the Hadoop Distributed File System. Pig is not working on MapReduce.

the problem is with ur data not with ur code. add comma(,) in between ur two tuples in data file u will get may get expected output
