using a dns connection sometimes fixes it. But what i find weird is that mobile data gives lower ping than wifi in certain mobile games . I've no idea how
@@techindex1 nope , i have a wifi 4 router at home with 30-50 mbps connection. Upload speed is slower though like considerably. Mobile data has around 5-10 mbps transfer speed and both are roughly same . I was playing AoV on a far server , Indonesian and my online friends in Malaysia and Singapore also said the same.
I feel like it is a server end issue because Brawl stars also has same problem but Diablo immortal doesn't. I can play with a Philippino, Lebanese and me Indian at same time on same server without much lag 😆😆
On my old low band 5G internet, if any other device started a download, it would essentially get all the bandwidth so other devices would take like 20 seconds to open a website 😭 Understandably, games went horribly
Two questions, 1: can ping also be affected by the game server itself. For example if it’s very unreliable and unresponsive. 2: how does it work for other players with normal ping when their opponents are lagging (have low ping)
1: Yes, as ping measures the round trip, if a server is unresponsive it can increase the total ping time 2: Players having a high ping time and lagging can cause issues for other players too as you’re essentially all sharing the same instance or map so you won’t get the info they have sent to server for a delayed period of time because of their high ping time. Modern games do tend to disconnect players with too high ping times and have other methods of managing it though!
