Hey David! I’m Sean from Seattle and ran into to you while you were by Guardians that day. I really appreciate you saying hello and taking a photo. I haven’t been to Disneyland in many years and was really hoping I would run into you. Thank you for being so kind.
Pixar Fest, Food & Wine, Season of the Force…this is really the culmination of plans from years ago. I had a friend who worked on the corporate side of DLR over a decade ago. He revealed that there was this huge internal push to tamp down on AP and push for fewer “slow days” at the parks. And now, with things going on all year, there are definite year-round enticements for people to come and spend time (and money). Love your content, it’s always one of the highlights of my work days! ❤
I honestly can’t believe Disney didn’t bring back paint the night for this event this year as well as make a unique world of color that is Pixar themed what a huge missed opportunity 😏😏😏😏
My brother and I were there in 2018. It was fun! 😀 Paint The Night Parade in DCA was awesome! Pixar Pals at DL was great too! The floats squirted water at the people watching lol I got hit in the face while filming. Loved it! Great memories 😀
You have to see Luca! its a fun movie! I really enjoyed it! you gotta update us on what you think of it. Hope to see you on April 26! It's my actual bday so i'm SUPER excited!!! Going to be rope dropping! But im that weirdo that wants to start their morning on the Mark Twain. Can't think of a better way to start my bday than on the Mark Twain though!
We were there in 2018 and I'll be there again this year. I love Pixar and I enjoyed the original parade. Can't wait to see this one. Also partake in season of the force too.
“In the esplanade between Disneyland and DCA, you won’t want to miss the over 25-foot-tall sculpture celebrating friendship and highlighting the iconic Pixar Ball.” 😊
FreshBaked. David, I can see we are in for some good times ( fingers x'd) with the Pixar Fest. That Pixar monstrosity that they want to put into Town Sq. does'nt do it for me. Sofia will love the Pixar Dance Party. The blue wall between the parks is where the next DVC, sales booth will go. Cheers, Chris Perry
We are going in mid June and excited for pixar fest. That said, our family loves the movie Onward and feel like it is the most underrated and forgotten film...wondering why Disney just chooses to consistently ignore the existence of this movie. Was hoping to see it in pixar fest, but no 😢
I wonder if the Fantasyland theatre is going to be similar to back in the day where Big Thunder Ranch used to host. Arts, crafts, music and character meet and greets.
Better Together… that’s interesting. They have better together items for sale at Hallmark. I have some of them. Must have gotten the wording from them.
The After Parties look interesting and fun. I can see they put some extra into it, but honestly, I don’t know how I feel about the added pricing. I don’t really favor all this extra “exclusivity”. Half that price may be worth it, but even then, I’m not so sure I’d pay for it.
could you do a rope drop video of Disneyland on a Star Wars night day? I’m guessing it’ll be emptier with hotel guests and 1 day ticket holders choosing DCA instead. I want recon on this to plan for Oogie boogie days in the fall
My family, lots of my friends, my kids' friends, and a bunch of people I work with would have all bought tickets IF Paint The Night would have been part of the lineup. Sadly, that parade is AWOL. That parade could have been the prime selling point in terms of ticket buyers but Disney is really dropping the ball on this one. Food, food, food is all they seem to think about these days. The parks are sorely lacking nighttime parades. There's something magical as the lights go dark and the music swells under a beautiful, star filled sky. Please bring Paint the Night back!!!
We went to Disneyland in 2018 during the first Pixar Fest. I didn't care for it. As you have mentioned before, the decorations don't really fit with Disneyland. I wouldn't say they were ugly, but just out of place. I think it made Disneyland a little worse.
“Curaçao” is pronounced “Cure-ah-souw” The little hook at the bottom of the “c” is a cidelle or cidella and makes the “c” soft. And Huarache is indeed a food, inspired by the sandal (same word) because it does resemble the sole of a shoe. Thanks for all you do! See you at the livestream!
What I DONT like about those banners are the cartoon characters. They are not genuine or “real”. Ie Woody is not really Woody, Buzz is not Buzz, etc… what is this? This is done on the cheap. We come to Disney where they feature their characters and yet they display a cheap generic knockoff version of the characters. Am I wrong? Please, someone correct me. Ty
