In another life, grad school, I had a number of peer reviewed articles dealing with political philosophy published. Thought I was going to pursue a career as a professor. Now I'm a writer, editor, and hiker. Much better life!
You definitely need a better term than "libertarian" since a major contingent, if not majority, of libertarians from the beginning of this movement (at least in the US) understand themselves to be aligned with the classical/ancient tradition of virtue.

In reply, I would emphasize some key words in my original comment, such as "a major contingent, if not [a] majority". These words DO NOT mean all libertarians and it leaves room for other types of libertarians. But I would argue that the origin of the libertarian movement in the US owes much to the work of Murray Rothbard, so-called "Mr. Libertarian". Throughout his writings, appeals Aristotle, Aquinas and Locke are manifest. The philosophical background (origins?) of Austrian economics are rooted in Aristotelian categories and metaphysics with it's understanding of social organization echoing a kind of holomorphism. It's not explicit but is definitely there in Menger's "Investigations into the Method of the Social Sciences" and in Mises' "Human Action" and "Theory And History". @@GarteBera totally understandable. Although some might say it's a distinction without a difference. Semantics aside, I'm just stating facts about the origins of the movement and some of the philosophical underpinnings of a large swathe of self identified libertarians.
