What about your flexibility??? Can you bend now ?? Where from you??
@richard1493
@richard1493 5 месяцев назад
I had a PLIF done to my L4 to S1 when I was 26 and I absolutely could not recommend against it more unless it was a necessity. In the years after my surgery, my chronic pain spread and intensified significantly and my bones still haven’t began fusing yet. My lumbar mobility became so limited that I had to leave my career and my mental health deteriorated greatly. I struggle to experience any satisfaction or enjoyment in life and it has gotten to the point where I sincerely feel that the only reason I am sticking around is because I have a family to care for. I spend the majority of my time now between treatment for chronic pain and the depression I began having after surgery. I had the surgery because my vertebrae were continuing to slip over my early 20s, eventually reaching 56% slippage. In my case I either had to get the surgery done now when it was inconvenient or later down the line when it was life threatening. Overall it was a terrible experience that was not worth the consequences. In hindsight, I would have rather enjoyed the rest of my youth and dealt with persistent pain than to have tried to remedy it. PLIF exacerbated my symptoms to the point where they now consume my life.

We specialize in minimally invasive technique. This is a common procedure elsewhere but for us, it has become a less frequent option. We only use it for specific cases, when it is the person's best path to better spine health. Always seek out specialists that will explore your options with you and be honest with you. How are you doing now? I am curious , I go to the Nero next week, after 30 plus years of ablations, blocks, over 40 at least, my low back is bad. Two slipping discs , spur on my lower lumbar, the hip Amd pain in the groin in awful, I just keep getting tighter in gluts, down legs, sciatica is horrible. I want to know does anyone have this or even part of it and has any success doing this? I am absolutely petrified. I just want my life back or even part of it.

There are many types of spinal surgery. Unfortunately you can't repaire or replace disks. Think twice a spinal operation. Look for pro disk II. This have good results. But the disk do not absorb like physical disks. That's the problem.

@lone556wolf2 It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. Especially being in my mid 40s at the time and not being in school since I graduated. I definitely had to study. @robertmandell526
@robertmandell526 Год назад
It's not the fusion, per se. It's the massive destruction of vertebral structure--laminectomies and removal of spinoff processes, as well as massive dissection of paraspinal muscles, all leaving massive tissue insults requiring up to a year for healing, and permanent post operative morbidity, pain, and disability. THIS TECHNIQUE SHOULD BE BANNED.
@ryanwellington7493

Well it changes your morphology it's going to cause biomechanical issues which are known to cause other issues such as arthritis, tendonitis, atrophy etc... Long term.
