Can't tell you how long I was looking for this information. Beyond frustrating when a screen "lifts" up from the frame after a tedious repair. Awesome and well-explained. Thank you for making this video!
Do yoiu know if a mask with a filter needed? Looks like he did ok without needing one in this vid? Can you answer this, please? I'm worried about burns, or eye irrittion, or skin irritation. I will be using nitrile gloves. I purchased a mask with a filter, but I can't wear a mask all night while I sleep. My "store" / work area, is also my studio apartment.
I’m getting ready to apply a Carbon Fiber overlay in my FRS and it came with a Primer and I was so confused how this worked with double sided tape and this video really helped me out. Thanks again great video !!

I used your link and the pages wont load, try to search and took 5 min. I have good internet and tried a different site and it worked fine. So not sure. But was very annoying to use.
Two questions you didn’t cover about. Do you apply the primer on the edges of the screen too? Do your only apply the primer on the chasis of the ipad and not the plastics like how you were avoiding?
You can apply it anywhere adhesive would touch I had already applied it on the plastic area To add it to the screen itself, you’d have to remove the original adhesive. We don’t find that it helps to remove the adhesive and apply primer since it takes so much time. The main area you’ll see an iPad fail is on the frame and adhesive and not the screen and adhesive
Help. I have a pre primered abs bumper from ebay and the primer that is on there i dont trust and its not fully covering everything. Can i sand it down some and still spray adhesion promoter on there and then primer? Thanks
I do a family iPad/iPhone repair about every 2-3 years .. buying one of these products is not worth it for the use I'd get. So, what's a primer for an every now and then fix it guy? Such as dilute some contact cement, a tube of XXX thinned with acetone, a can of spray adhesive puddled then Q-tipped on, some model airplane dope ... suggestions? ... or better to just clean parts good of old adhesive then apply new adhesive strips and call it done. - Thanks for the videos they are very clear and detailed with attention to quality repairs.
Aliexpress has a ton of small bottles of primer that are cheap and can come with free shipping if buying enough stuff. It's probably too late to be of any good (I suppose I'm just leaving this for anyone reading.)
Hi I have use primer for applying car accessories with 3m tap on car paint now some area of paint show yellow stain due to excess primer how to remove safely ?
