Thanks for the video - my father passed from Covid in Dec 2021, and his Will passes everything to my mother (who is also nominated as Executor on the Will). As the youngest son (I only have one other brother), I spoke with our family Solicitor & he said we do NOT need to go through probate and can do everything ourselves, to save money. I have so far successfully transferred everything across to my mother (Title Deeds, Bank Accts, Car Rego etc) EXCEPT for my father's shares because the Broker is asking for a Certified copy of Probate or Letters of Administration - do we STILL need to get one or the other ? Thanks for any help.
