I have this recently diagnosed 2 months ago. I'm struggling and my life has been affected dramatically by this. I pray the audiologist I'm seeing Monday can give me myife back. I'm a cancer survivor and this is far worse than my cancer experience.
Does temp reverse slope always mean meniere's or hydolymphatic hydrops ?? noting that it reversed back to normal hearing after a month of the first audiogram with a mild low frequency sensienural hearing loss, please help
I have reverse slope hearing loss, mod-severe and may I make a suggestion? I am not trying to criticise but to give you constructive criticism considering I am your target audience. My suggestion would be to edit your videos or rerecord until you can avoid any 'uhms' in your speech. This habit makes it very difficult to understand you as lip reading is definitely a part of my coping strategy, I have developed this naturally due to the problem you are addressing - difficulty getting hearing aids programmed properly. I haven't been fortunate enough (yet) to find someone to alleviate this problem for me. I live in Canada, so please let me know if you have any Canadian colleagues.
Thank you Paula for the feedback and I apologize for the difficulty that it posed to you. I would recommend joining the Reverse Slope Hearing Loss support group on Facebook- I am sure you can find someone in your area! Best regards!
@@Nivin-2255 I use bilateral hearing aids, and I know that doesn’t work for everyone, but my hearing specialist really took the time to personalize the settings for me and it makes a huge difference.
