Everybody should screenshot and print out the overview at 07:23. That answers most of the "well which shim should I use?"-questions. Excellent explanation, thank you!

It doesn’t seem like positive/negative conventions are standardized yet. Elsewhere I’ve seen any shim that adds overall foil setup lift called “Positive”, regardless of whether the stabilizer is mounted above or below the fuselage.
Hi, thanks for your comment. I agree, as far as I know there is no standardization. Therefore, I recommend to always refer to the overview shown at 07:26 and check what effect you want to achieve and how your setup looks like.
