The guy in the last story could have actually been someone working for the casino. Casino poker rooms have been known hire people with friendly personalities, give him lots of money and tell them to deliberately play poorly. It encourages real players to come back and bet higher thinking that other players are just as bad as that guy.
I went to a Casino a couple times and I was bored everytime, normally I was dragged by coworkers for work functions. Like why do people like to voluntary give away there money just to watch flashy lights? At least the table games like Blackjack can be entertaining and $5 per hand sure I will bring $100 and play for like 2 hours using very basic strategy with card counting and end up breaking even. But so many of them I recently been dragged to had no blackjack less then $20. We were like can we leave yet? They don't have cheap Blackjack, this place is crap.
There was a series of teen novels in my country. One of them had the heroes trying to win a visibly fake statue from a spin-the-wheel carnival game among other things. The nail that was supposed to catch to stop at the places for the fake statue and other high ticket items was bent subtly so it never stopped on those prizes. That was a true practice at carnivals (in my country) back when the book was written. 😮😮
@@aeris2001 Crony capitalism for you. Your fooling yourself if the rich and powerful in communist countries don't do the same. It's everywhere in every form.
The “malfunction” is leading me to believe that the whole RNG thing is only partially true for how slots really work? There has to be 2 other variables? One being times. I don’t gamble or play slots, but my mom works part time at a slot gaming place and she’s been there for a year I believe? She noticed about 6 months ago that every day around 3:30-4 machines HIT! and almost every single one of them will hit during this time lol. Also Hispanics have the edge. They win more I guess? Play faster too.
I’m not a big gambler by any means- only done it a handful of time. But I’ve actually won a few hundred off penny slots from a $20 bill two or three times. I guess I got lucky.
