First of all, I love the art and the characters and just everything here, but what you said here about style really spoke to me. Everyone does have completely different ways of viewing the world and we should definitely embrace that in our art. This also just like... kinda makes me wanna draw this character on this horse but in my own style and see what I make!
Oh my goodness did i torture myself as a teen and through art school because i couldnt make the beautiful delicate linework I admired (completely ignoring the comments from people telling me they loved my bold confident drawing style!) You can train yourself but only to the extent you stop enjoying it... i hope you have found your happy middle ground! And I would adore to see fanart!
