He should definitely go into the Saints HOF because no one has done what he has done for the organization. One of the most versatile players to not make the pro bowl in NFL history, imagine if he was used more 🥶
He’s one of the few Jack of all trades left. You watch little league and the coach plugs in the best player on all plays. Taysom Hill is that kid. Put him anywhere and he is going to do his job. Love this dude!
He plays the FB position. Footballer. He just plays football. That's it. I would not be surprised if he threw the ball then ran down field to catch it himself. The dude just loves the game.
I always wonder how good BYU would of been if Taysom had stayed healthy. I can’t remember if it was his sophomore or junior year, that if he stayed healthy I think he had a chance to win the Heisman.
He could definitely be used more, but the reason he doesn’t have a clearly defined position I think is strategic so teams have issues planning for him. Because he runs so well and can technically play QB, he’s a huge RPO threat, but he’s also a great blocker and can catch from the TE pos. But he’s also great in all aspects of special teams, so on any given Sunday you have no idea what to expect from him and I love that.
I think the reason his YPC is so high is because he runs from the QB position, no handoff required so the offense has an extra blocker. Start handing off the ball to him 10-15 times a game and I think it'll just break his body and you will quickly miss his versatility. 3rd and 2 going for 6-8 yards on a off tackle QB power is just automatic. It's crazy.
Lining him up as an RB takes away his biggest skill. Throwing off the defense. Lined up at tailback, you absolutely know he’s going to run. Lining up at quarterback, you have to respect the fact that he can throw a decent ball as well as takeoff for big chunks of yardage running. I think it would be OK to occasionally line them up at tailback, just like they line him up occasionally at tight end, as well as wide receiver. But he should get most of his snaps under center to be most effective.
He would make an absolute killer full time Running back. It is a shame the Saints jerked him around for so long when he should have taken over after Brees retired versus Bridgewater and Winston. Had he been given a fair shake, Coach Payton would still be in New Orleans and just may have had another deep Playoff run.
Me personally as a actual saints fan I think they should give him a shot at qb finally a real shot full season because his record as a starter is 7-2 or start jameis he was the last person on our team to throw for 4-0 ints and then 4-1 ints and last year he was playing with a broken back so his badness is understandable
It's not just the plays it's how he plays. Genuinely looks like a star running back sometimes, he runs a 4.4 and breaks more tackles per carry than mosts rbs.
I don't get it either he's just waiting away. He's mike alstott mixed with that Carolina rb who was on the Madden cover mixed with Matt Ryan lmao he's a beast all bs aside and we never use him for what reason idk
@@dbsti3006 have you ever seen a GTR get down there is a reason that not many cars can take them off the line I've seen Mustangs and C8's not want to line up with a GTR for fun so they reputation couldn't get damaged that's what I think the Saints coaching staff is doing they don't want line nobody up with him the guy was practically smoking everything with two tires on his GTR this whole messages because I'm not really the biggest Ford fan but I am a fan of Taysom Hill just a brief conflict of interest as you were nothing important to see here
If the saints had a good quarterback they would be higher up in the rankings for sure. Carr is just too inconsistent. Hill comes in and lights up the offense and touchdowns are made. The head coach needs to make a decision.
That’s where you’re wrong imo, his yards are so high per carry because you never know when he will be used. He’s a threat that takes 2 defenders even when he doesn’t touch
They do this little trick of bringing up his first starts in 2020 when they tried to make him be a pocket QB. He was a rookie at that position. Even this morning an influential media guy was saying he never threw to Kamara. In 22 and 23 he threw a lot to Kamara. They hardly let him throw last year despite throwing excellent bombs. It's called rhetoric.
@@joybischoff9558what they're trying to do is there trying to force a narrative they trying to make people believe what they're saying instead of what they saw
Taysom Hill is a Swiss Army Knife that every team in the NFL wish they had lol 😂 why does he have to be in one position it’s dumb. Hes a QB/RB/TE and he plays all 3 positions very well. That’s why it works so well for the saints all teams think when he’s in he’s gonna run but they forget he was a good QB in college as well. Shot of there was one player in the NFL I wish my Cowboys would try and trade for it’s Taysom Hill. He’s become one of my top Favorite players of this era. There’s no player in the NFL that is doing what he’s doing and putting up the numbers.
The problem is you want to take him from the most valuable role on the field to the least valuable role on a fit and I don't think he wants to do that at all and I don't blame them cuz they don't pay running back and they think they're expendable he's valuable because he's a quarterback not a running back they don't value running backs
He's a mismatch. He works Because they get him back there when the defense isn't ready or has favorable personnel for the offense to succeed. If they just lined him up at RB all the time, he wouldn't be any more successful than any other average RB.
Ya'll are just unaware I'm guessing, but his knees went through hell in college. He's injury prone. Too many reps at running back would probably guarantee a tear.
Dude is designed to be a running quarterback where he is protected most of the time and capable of scrambling outside the pocket to make big plays with either his legs or his arm
knees are not the problem. he had a lisfranc fracture in his foot. Broken leg because of se dirty play by an opposing defense. Torn shoulder and ACL. One knee injury.
