People who don't go into poetry in depth do not realise this - not even the poet himself sometimes, when he (or she ,), just tries to describe what he is seeing. It is only when he has finished composing that he then sees the deeper meaning which has somehow magically appeared but which he was not even aware of at the time.

So true!

And sometimes people over-analyze and see much more in the poem or movie or novel or artwork than the creator wanted to convey, turning a simple pleasure into sth complicated.
