I agree with you, however Mansoor Ali Shah was an upright judge, the legal mind and principles he has I dont think so we have ever had a judge like him before, furthermore many of the judges in the Supreme Court would have stood with him against the establishment. As a law gradute I was waiting for him to become the CJP, its sad to see him being thrown to the side.
Feel bad for Pakistan. There was once Justice M. Munir who validated the first martial law by Gen. Ayub Khan by invoking the "doctrine of necessity." Judiciary could never take roots in Pakistan and successive Generals used this ruling as a valid source of law. That decision has already caused a great deal of upheavels for Pakistan. And, people continue to suffer!

Great video Muzzamil, as always! But want to add one thing, the extension of CJP's tenure, transfer of high court judges and power of FCC to review the decision taken by Supreme Court was all part of the 'hidden' draft but as they revise the draft, these things were excluded.
I agree almost all of your arguments except a few ones, particularly that Qazi Faez Isa didn't "accept" the extension. The truth is he didn't get the extension because Moulana was against him.

Most people are not discussing a very valid objection which is : The ruling party‘s entire assembly members overwhelmingly defeated in National polls of 2024 and illegally drafted to form a Government. So pratically these un-elected members are not entitied to carry on legislation or amendment in Constitution.
same situation in india , people often things congress and bjp are rivals but majority of decisions get unanimously passed in parliament and there are many instance where both parties vote in to increase their collective wealth .

I think you are correct. 👍🏼 But wish to understand why people of Pakistan do not understand they being taken for granted. It’s a a very sorry state of affairs.
Doing amendments regularly is not a bad thing actually. It tells you the flexibility with which democracy works. India has carried out more that 100 amendments since independence. Problem arises when the amendments are carried out to favour an individual or a group of individuals instead of the welfare of the country.
