i think they are just going to keep doubling down. i don't think the response to the show and the numbers is going to stop them. i bet we still get a Rey movie. nothing will change while KK is in charge. i cannot help but think she knows where all the bodies are buried, because even baring the propaganda the quality of the writing is so amateurish there is no reason to keep her. she is ruining "the message"

Someone should film a Star Wars RPG Group dice rolling and commenting the actions of the Characters and cut it in between the series scenes. I suspect the Acolyte exists for two purposes. 1. A big F you to fans of Star Wars. Disney does not like the audience George Lucas built for Star Wars. 2. I strongly suspect Disney wants to reboot a New Hope, and make Leia the main hero who learns the ways of the Force and ultimately beings Anakin back to the light; and the Acolyte is setting the stage for that shift.
My theory is that Smilo Ren will be one of the mothers ( or green je"DEI" lady) and the teeth on the helmet are significant. They are from the fallen witch sisters that are still infused with "force/thread" energy due to the ritual conecting them and the power of maaaannnnyyyy. Thats why the master can push and take on several je"DEI" at once. But this maybe more thought put into it than what the showrunners have done and agree whatever they have actually done will be more stupid
The sad part is that the historic masterpiece that was Star award has become less of a B movie version of a tv show. As I criticize the shows I do have to stop myself and remind myself the tv versions of big screen offerings are rarely as good. The only successful tv version of a movie was MASH and it was not really like the movie at all. So why do I expect so much from a Star Wars tv show? Well because I’m a fan and I want it. How much is LucasFilm worth? How do you get to that figure?? Let's add a caviate to that first question and then a second question: How much would a LucasFilm that retconned the entire Disney era be worth? Could Amazon afford it? The I.P. is only valued as it stands whilst still under Disney, they've made money and now have an eternal affiliation with the brand...why not sell it off? Can you imagine the hype if they did and that the Disney Films would no longer be cannon? A new sequel trilogy would drive fans crazy at this point! The mess they've created actually does them a service, giving Star wars a fresh slate would be immensely popular, even amongst the most staunch critical view...it would be seen as the hand of Luke himself reaching out....oh .. yeah...... You get the idea!
Jonah Kennedy I hope goes but it is difficult to breath when your face is in the mud and she will continue to be dragged as long as her leadership brings the results she continues to have. I would like to pitch my stories at Lucasfilm because I aim to have a plan to out pace The Infinity Saga. What is most disappointing about Kennedy is that she doesn’t appear to have ever had a plan and the groups she has championed I believe are not better off due to her poor management. Faux redemption arc as the two sisters form a dyad (sigh), a la Rise of Skywalker. The 'Ren' helm character is actually most likely a female and Dafne Keens character is seduced by Osha -joining the Dark Side. Most of the Jedi are gone from this region of space and Ki-Adi-Mundi unwittingly covers it all up. Another pointless flashback episode, this time from the one who fell into the fire and supposedly died. By episode 8 most of the fans no longer care and when Skeleton Crew comes out the buy rate viewership will be low as the majority of fans had had enough by the end of the year.
Here's my prediction: Mae's wormy sidekick is going to be revealed as Darth Plageus, who learned how to manipulate midichlorians from Mae's mother (because OF COURSE a man takes credit for a woman's work), further deconstructing Anakin's birth.

On top of further minimizing Anakin I think they also will completely trash Yoda. I will be very surprised if they don’t take the opportunity to add their own lore to a character as pivotal as Yoda.
This reminds me of way back when I was young. I graduated high school back in 94 and initially went to college to be a paleontologist. Roughly a couple years in I switched over to become a computer animator, and I went to college with a guy that eventually started to work at Lucas as an animator. For almost 6 years, I worked like hell to try to get in because he was trying to get me a job there and I couldn't get in because I was something like 0.01-2% off the minimum requirement to even be looked as an applicant. I was crushed at the time, but because my limited interaction with Disney because they have all these outsourced programs for animation and recruitment, I might have missed a bullet and not realized that I did. I often and sometimes think about that even though it's disappointed at the time. Just wanted to share that.
I believe Harrison Ford AND Mark Hamill wanted to leave Star Wars because they saw the way KK was perverting it. NOT because either was tired of doing movies. Harrison Ford did Indie 5 after all.
Something about this reminds me of Snoke Speculations. Carrie Ann Moss was likely the biggest name actor/ headliner in the marketing lead up … it would make a kind of sense to “bring her back” in a surprise turn , enlarging her role, and not wasting her on what’s basically been cameos. But those were my thoughts on Andy Sirkus … surely they won’t hire the all time goat of voice/mo cap acting only to have the character be a short lived red herring that’s completely irrelevant? But they did.

I couldn't agree more! Unfortunately & sadly, it happens time and time again, that in their bubble, people like us who point out that there are intolerable plot holes, extremely bad dialog, completely pointless decisions by the protagonists, deformation of the Star Wars core, etc. etc. are suddenly portrayed as toxic or worse yet racist. It's their idea/image of Star Wars that we reject. I don't really give a damn whether any of the actors are black, lesbian or heterosexual!!! The story and characters are terribly badly written, do sometimes illogical and sometimes pointless things because their basis, their ideology doesn't fit the Star War's universe...

I've got a friend who has been consuming everything Star Wars like cotton candy, and was surprised when he told me he decided not to watch the Acolyte. If I ran an investment fund I would buy SW from Lucasfilm from Disney and do the following : 1) declare Disney SW not cannon. 2) immediately green light a KOTOR trilogy and get a solid story for 3 movies and make it a old school drama with action as SW should be . 3) Do a Vader Series, him hunting down the jedi 4) Obi Wan movie. 5) Boba fet bounty hunter movie Watch money roll in and maybe in 2 years a luke skywalker trilogy with old luke recounting a specific further threat like the Vong coming into the universe and a young luke played by Sebastian Stan destroying it with time hops between old luke and young luke .

I’m tired of hearing about this show. I have accepted that Disney Star Wars television is going to be bad. I am not opposed to gay stories or “minority” led stories and casts. When I heard of this show and the premise I thought “ if it is handled with quality writers , directors and actors, it can be compelling and take a Star Wars tv show to a different level. “ Well . ….. why did I expect better? I am also tired of people saying “ Star Wars has always had bad dialogue and directing ( George) so why should we expect more?” Because we can! We can have Star Wars be a benchmark in entertainment. When Disney bought Star Wars I thought “ good! Lucas isn’t making any more. Disney had access to quality writers and production.” Again…. How let down I was.

Masterclass of bad writing. Ep 1-4 It's a mystery... But so far the audience knows who's killed the Jedi So that's not the mystery. The mystery is who is wearing a mask. Literally Scooby Do level. Why should we care , what do we know that the masked person has done so far? Or is the crime part of the mystery too? Is what The twin is the actual murderer! the main plot is like a subplot. It's a creative mess holding the cards so close to its chest, we dont even know if they have any.
At this point, looking at the lack of quality for The Acolyte and the $180 million budget spent. This must be money laundering, they couldn't have actually spent all that money on this bilge.
