What up Mikey dude....now don't laugh but I'm just a ol country boy from the mountains of NC. I fish alone most of the time. I love the boat that I have now its an 1985 Allison XST 17 ft. The best bass boat.... is the bass boat that gets us out on the lake to do what we love and that is to rip some lips...love your videos dude keep em coming
Hey dude, road by your house earlier today and I saw a new boat under your shed. I won't spoil it for everyone but know which one you chose. I like it! 😁👍
I like the Phoenix factory tour and what they say how they build it compared to others. The Falcon has cool lockers. I'm guessing you bought a Phoenix now.
It was nice to see you go through the process. Boats ain't cheap and they take a lot of thought. I love my Bass Buggy, but if'n I do ever trade her in, I would probably go through a similar process.
If I were to buy a new boat I would look at Basscat, Phoenix, and Skeeter in that order. I am on the west coast so dealers are limited. There aren't much if any blazers or falcons out here but I would consider one of those too.
Every boat you mentioned you listed a negative comment except for the Blazer. The Blazer is by far the best of the boats mentioned except for the pricing. I believe it is the most expensive boat you listed but I also think it is most likely the best of those boats and I don't own a Blazer. I ride in a ChampioN
Skeeter…I love mine for sure. Test drove everything but Falcon and Charger, couldn’t get past how well Skeeter handled and second best storage. Dude…the Legend 21 was sick, but they went out before I bought a boat and I was concerned about warranty. The Legend was a rad ass boat though!
This past summer, my family purchased a 06 Ranger Z21 with a 250 Vrod, 10’ poles, ultrex, 4 lithium’s, 6” jack plate, etc. all for under 30k. I absolutely love our boat, but if we were to purchase a brand new boat, we would’ve taken a look at Basscat, Ballistic, and Gambler!
I would pick a Skeeter, and that will be my next boat. My guess is your boy JT got you into a Falcon though. Makes too much sense with you guys both being Halo guys too and using a lot of similar products.
Loved the Phoenix, of the boats shown, but really loved the rod lockers on J.T. Kenney’s boat. However, you don’t fish from the rod lockers, so I’d go with the Phoenix.
This has been a very informative series. Thanks for taking the time. *Looking forward to the rigging videos. I hope you plan to show begging to the end.
A good boat is any boat that floats . Doesn't matter if you have to paddle or you can put a trolling motor on it . I catch big fish in a 10' John boat with a trolling motor .
The PHXs are the “big water” Phoenix’s, with the deck lowered ~2” compared to the ProXPs, which the decks are raised so it’s not a big gunnel wall deal.
Id choose the FALCON Predator. Ive been a co angler for 20 years and have ridden in all of them. Falcon, Skeeter, and Phoenix are the best. But for me. FALCON is the way to go.
Steve, how did the Bass Cats and Blazers compare to those 3 you mentioned? Also, which is a better rough water boat? Harris Chain is main waterbody if it matters…
I'm looking at a blazer 625. I fish big water in Michigan and trailer a ton. Everybody says that for such a light boat, they eat rough water for breakfast.
I have a Phoenix 921 proxp, I get the speed I want, there’s tons of storage as you mentioned, and all the color schemes that are optional are beautiful. Running different props I’ve got my 21’ Phoenix up to 75 with full gear, 3/4 tank, with two people, CRAZY!
After being a Co-Angler for five years (Bassmaster Opens) and riding (98 percent of the major boat brands) in all conditions and lakes (Onieda, Champlain, Lake Fork, FL Lakes and everything in between). For me, I purchase the Blazer 650 Pro Tour. After seeing how busy the Tech Trailer (Mercury) are during and after each tournament versus the other brands, I decided to run a Yamaha. Being a Co-Angler for so long has given me different perspectives on what I was looking for in a boat. There is no perfect bass boat. Each brand has it faults. However, I chose Blazer.
My theory is buy the one you get the best deal on and that has the one distinguishing feature that is most important to you. I would go Falcon. I think they are well thought out and I like the wide deck.
Man they are all awesome. Obviously the Phoenix is sweet, the skeeter, express. Triton , bass cat, nitro , I like they all but I'm in a small aluminum myself still though. So for me the expresss seems more shallow water fitting, and that suits my wheel house, Can't wait to see what you got, it'll be tricked out no matter what,
IDK? Im a kayak angler? All bad ass boats for sure! But for me, to much. All I need is my pedal driven yak, close to the water stealthy & keep it simple. Curious what is the overall cost in these bass boats, electronics, motor, trolling motor, trailer? What was most exspensive one & cheapest??
Or just keep the literally perfect boat that he got for free that’s sitting right behind him waiting to be hooked up and taken to the lake…his triton is a true bass boat 18 and half is the perfect length especially when he doesn’t tournament fish almost ever
