Sorta. Most RPG games that have a range multiples damage by .98-1.02. So if your attack would be in the range of 800-1200, a Critical Hit would make it 1200 everytime!

As a new player I do have issues with videos like this. I've seen nothing anywhere, on YT, reddit wherever that takes you from point A to B to C just like this video it always starts at X and ends at Z. I'm seeing people with identical builds from the weapon to sigils and over mastery doing damage that I'm not capable of doing and nothing anywhere has helped me to understand why. I'm running Siegfried with capped damage cap a fully awoken ascension weapon etc and I'm capping at 219k on my hardest combo finish. I've seen people doubling that and it makes no sense. I know I'm a noob but I haven't seen a single video that fully explains how to go from point A to Z and I'm stuck trying to understand what I have to do to improve

What didn't you understand from the video Nudo? If you don't look at the numbers but the steps I followed, it should work the same for you.

They may be stacking more more damage cap through terminus or glass cannon sigils.

thankyou for explaining it so well, I'm getting up to the point where this is starting to be required. Would be amazing if damage cap numbers were a different color but until then, we have this handy guide :)

Maaaan damage cap shouldn't be a mechanic, imagine lots of variety/crazy build if theres no damage cap lol

I was talking to friend about this. I do find it lame that the template for optimal damage is the same for everyone and a good amount of Sigils are just dead.

Could you do a stun test? A time difference between no stun vs max stun would be interesting to know. Edit: also does roll the dice stack with supplemental damage? I think it would make fast hitters like lance and charlotta have a weird alt build.

100 hours later and I still didn't get war elemental or supplementary dmg sigils. Opened over 1000 curios. I dunno how u guys get them as they don't show up for me ever

Ok does supplemental dmg have a cap. Or is it always 20% of the original hit.

@@NoctusLovesLunait’s always 20% and does not stack with buffs. All you do by adding more sigils is increase the trigger chance

I haven't tried. If a Sigil designed to prevent that specific debuff doesn't work, I don't think anything would but I haven't tested.

Really curious how Builds change once you also maxed out the Sigils. Since with Crit Rate i.e if you have all of them maxed you could cut down 1 Crit Rate Sigil to still have 100% same goes for some other sigils. So in Theory cou could make Space for 2-3 more Sigils if you max them out.

Quick Cooldown and Uplift are really good so adding them in there helps a lot!

A question I have is, whats the point of other weapons? Does every single character want the Ascension weapon maxed? I get confused seeing level 100 videos and they're using the premium sword on Id for example.

The other weapons are there as progression tool to get to the Final Weapon. They also give you permanent stats in the Masteries Collection Tab!

Using damage crit up from what im told is useless because u already hit the cap with for extra crit damage with the weapon mastery collection.

Let’s say you maxed out your damage cap. My question is, will teammate’s or your own’s damage buff raises the damage cap? Or are we still getting the same numbers?

Same numbers! Change your skill to something else if you or an ally has buffs to increase damage!

I do too! I was so bummed when I saw my Skill that buffed my damage did the same without the buff. This also applies to debuffs like Defense Down

How much extra dmg does a crit do normally? Is it + %10 or more for example. I can't seem to find an answer for this anywhere.

That's because the Mastery Tree and Weapon Masteries give Critical Damage increase. I can't turn them off. From hitting a dummy I did 12k with a Critical Hit and 7k without a Critical Hit. I'd assume it's 1.5 before the natural boost you get!

In the end you'll be using the Proto Bahamut weapon so you should start building without the extra Critical Rate it gives! This build is the template for all characters optimal damage Alice! My pleasure!

Unrelated to this video at all but could the War elemental sigil be a reward but only after finishing proud? Cause I've been grinding non stop without getting it and only be getting supplementary damage IV

Correct Kadir! If you add a Damage or Attack Sigil but see the same number then it was wasted. You need to add a Damage Cap to see more damage!

I just reached extreme difficulty so I don't think I am at that point where I need to farm sigil but sometimes I feel like I'm not doing enough damage. I rarely get the clear within certain time side objective. Just curious though, I main Charlotta, should I do this test with proc from Shining Onslaught or no? I'm not sure if def down mechanic on this game varies per enemy like for example hidden enemy resistances.

Defense Down helps you reach Damage Cap if your current build does not allow you to. Everything in the game has a Damage Cap so I'd test your Noble Stance Attacks and see if those can be improved upon since that's the bulk of her damage!

Optimal damage is nice and all but I find, personally anyway (since I'm just mediocre at the game), that adding survivability really, REALLY helps to stay in the fight and keep on dealing consistant damage when not avoiding enrage mechanics. Fights may take a little longer on average but I find that I have more fun in the midst of constant rotations because getting knocked out is not very pleasant IMO. Maybe the game is a little easy compared to Monster Hunter - even if Proud does give vets a run of their money in some parts (i.e when you realize you can't just stack damage and get away with it because you're not a speedrunner) - but I reckon it won't stay that way for very long.

That's how you should play when progressing through fights the first time. If you go to my channel's community page, you'll see my Narmaya build was rubbish for damage but it got me the World First Kill. I only stack damage now since fights are on farm!

I love this game, and this is kinda unrelated, but bro, I'm I the only one trying to get this damned unique sigil to drop from vouchers? Like holy fuck please add a multi pull feature my thumb is going numb. Also, why don't people use/address crab sigils? Are they bad?

A 10 pull feature would be nice! The Crab Sigil is great to use once you reach Damage Cap and it can replace an Attack% Sigil while bringing the Damage Reduction Utility!

I agree that it should be a multi pull feature. It takes so long to go through all tickets and resell and do it again. I think the crab 10% damage cut is good, but near endgame there’s no space for it….like 4 damage caps, unique sigils, guts auto revive…could just be me though. The crab 1000 atk is useless endgame

Your weapon and Mastery Tree give you so much stats that you only need three-four Damaging Sigils to hit Damage Cap.@@nirifer7275

There is once you free up slots for utility that specific character wants! Like Io wants Quick Charge while Yodarha doesn't

I main Kat and I can prove myself wrong by looking at my build, cooldown reduction is big on her and because of her masteries: stout heart + steelnerves gives a permanent 20% damage reduction and no stagger. With some drain it let's me Unga bunga on bosses even during overdrive.

quick question. for percival i use charge skills such as lucky charge, charge damage and the other ones. is it better to change it out for regular attack boost and crit damage or

I'd focus on getting 100% Critical Chance first so EVERY one of your attacks Critically Hit. All Damage in this game is additive so just run generic ones like Critical Damage so you can use these Sigils on anyone down the road! @@SlimeSenju340

@Naztalgic_Memories so I'm doing some testing now. 1 lucky charge (maxed) and 5 extra from a random imbue on my weapon is 60% crit rate (max level is 20) it's easier to max out crit rate that way than putting in crit rate sigils because crit rate sigils take more to max. So lucky charge is better + one extra crit rate sigil so I'm testing out the other sigils rn. I'll do some more testing once I get back home. (If any1 is reading this, this is for Percival because he's based off charge attacks)

Hello naz, quick question! You don't play with the heroes' sigils: ex narmaya with the butterfly +1? Otherwise do you have a complete image of your current build? ^^

I do Osiria! It just doesn't do anything for the damage cap test! You should definitely use unique sigils
