Even before you started describing each grain mill I selected your favorite and the recent one. Guess who is going start saving for that one, cannot wait… I feel for that extension and doesn’t take as much room… looks elegant. Thank you🌟
Goodmorning Annette! I just received my Mock Mill 100, I am anxiously awaiting trying it out. I follow you on You-Tube and have purchased several of your books. I want to thank you again for all your words of love and God's grace in the past years. I will be sure to let you know how the mill goes and which of your recipes I try. May God continue to inspire you and bless you for your stewardship. Best regards Dee Z🌻
Thanks for the detailed comparison. I've long wanted a grain mill and this video really clarified a good number of things about them along with which mill would suit my household.
Thank you for this review. I purchased bags on top of bags of flour to have if needed. They will begin to expire later this coming new year. How I wish I had known about wheat berries, grinders and the nutritional value of it all. Thank the Lord I found these videos that you have shared. May your family be safe and thank you for sharing😊
I to have purchased many bags of flour when on sale to have .. as prices on everyone going up.. now I am ready to give it away once I receive this mill grinder - I am now aiming to make healthy changes in my choices of food - and I am aiming to see how I can make even healthier dessert if that be possible with healthy ingredients
Only a year later… but i have heard that the heat can kill natural germs in the flour. These germs are useful when making sourdough as they serve to feed your starter.
Thank you so much for explaining the differences - I am interested in the one within the middle and will be purchasing that one. For the reasons you shared along with your experience of using them. Like to ask .. have you tried manual hand grinders incase of no electricity? If so is there a few you may recommend? Thank you for all your videos for all that you have shared. God Bless and Shalom
I just decided to order a mockmill 100 after watching your video. Thank you so much for the video review! I was going back and forth on which would be best! I am looking forward to the additional information snd recipes you talked about in the video
@@TheBiblicalNutritionist Thanks for your video, I would like to buy mokmil 100, is it good for making a black or red been flour? Is it washable and easy to clean? Is it get crazy hot like BI-DTOOL machine or hard work with it?
I also ordered a mock mill on June 30th. I have had no correspondence with them either. I have not received mine nor will they respond back. Need my money back if I'm not getting a mock mill. Someone needs to respond to us that purchased one .
All the marketing for other things is irritating and affects the enjoyment of the video. However, she is doing good in the world. I will always consider this channel a resource. If I had someone like her when I was young, I would not have lost my organs.
Wondering why is it an issue if the flower gets a little too warm don’t you bake it anyway which means it’s a lot more hot then? If the heat kills the nutrients then baking also would kill it?!
I'm really enjoying your review! I think I also am leaning towards getting the MockMill grinder thanks to your tips. We were looking for something that would not heat up, and I especially did not want to be wasting time cleaning up powder dust everywhere. I'm truly hoping that we can invest in that model! 🍞🥖And because of your mentioning of unleavened bread and challah bread, you have piqued my interest and now I want to subscribe to your channel to see if you have some biblical wisdom for me. 😊
I am curious-how difficult is it to clean between…cinnamon sticks and grain? Cinnamon flavored sourdough isn’t ideal 😜 if you can easily switch between on the mock mill … wow
Question: If the flour loses some of its nutritional value if it gets hotter than 120 degrees, won't baking it make it lose it's value? And if so, is there a way to know how much is retained?
You mentioned “the RV life”, in this video in reference to the mockmill’s size. While true, there is another reason. Power consumption. While the wondermill is, well wonderful, it does consume 1200+ watts of power while in use, (not sure but it also may have a much higher spike consumption while starting) The mockmill 200 (regular or pro) is rated at 600 watts, or half of the wondermill. The mockmill 100 is in the 300 watt range, or a bit more than half of the 200 mills, or about ONE QUARTER or the wondermill. Do if you want to grind grains or beans while running on solar/battery or battery alone, the mockmill makes this possible on a much smaller basis. You could use a hand cranked mill, and perhaps it would be wise to experiment with that option to know what to expect, but if your doing “RV’ing” and not boondocking/survival then you probable would like a little electrical assistance. As to having even having a mill along, It’s worth considering that you don’t need to waste storage room for flours, or cereals, just store the bulk product alone. Thanks for your channel
If you don’t put the bowl in properly, that is USER ERROR. You can’t blame the machine for that. It tells you when it is in properly. Any machine used improperly will cause problems. I have used a classic for years and heat is not a problem probably because I don’t mill 20 cups at a time. I like the 100 also, but the Classic is a gem.
Question! Would any of these be preferable over the others for powdered sugar? I need to make ultra fine for royal icing and I'm having a tough time finding the right mill!
Well demonstrated Can you please tell me about the 200 mockmill ? does it has the same future or more also what about the sounds is it loud does we need to turn it on before putting the grain in the whopper please let me know I should be getting my shipment soon thanks again
The Mockmill 200 is a high-quality grain mill with more powerful grinding capabilities than the basic models. It operates with a noticeable noise level but is generally not overly loud. You don’t need to turn it on before adding grain; just load the grain and start the mill. You may check this link for more details - thebiblicalnutritionist.com/product/mockmill-200-grain-mill/
Realize you have a lot of videos, but what do you think of the Wondermill Junior. I bought one a few years ago, have not used it, but I do not need all the electric gadgets. Also wondering about the flaker you spoke about in the email I received this morning. If you have a mill, why would one need a flaker. TIA
Just purchased a Mockmill 100 from you!!! Some customers below in the comments have stated that they never received their mills ... Your website says that the Mockmill 100's will ship early DECEMBER. Is this correct??? And will I get my money back if they don't??? Thanks for the very helpful video
Can you please explain how to get white flour? I sift and sift and sift, but still not white, yet I see people making delicate cakes... Also, will it be fine enough to make pasta?
Hello. I am from India wants to purchase this flour mill. Would you tell me how much time it takes to grind 5 kg flour ? What about its cleaning processes , Is it time consuming? Worth to buy for me as we consume mainly wheat in our food we consume 15 kg in month. Please advise me ad this flour mill is not available in India . My son is coming from Paris , if you suggest it , my son can purchase it. Please guide me. Thanks in advance.
you say you can't remill in the nutrimill but do you need to if you are grinding flour? I'm looking into doing this and hope that the flour is ground very fine so there is not much difference in my bread recipe texture, etc. thanks
You should never mill pepper in your grain mill it contains capcaicin which is a fat based and fat soluble. It could absorb into the plastic and be very difficult to clean out. Most mills don't recommend putting any kind of oil seeds in them. You did not address the warranties on these units.
Is their really a HUGE difference between the nutrimill and the nutrimill plus? Can one grind finer than the other?? I read so many different ratings on amazon. 🤦♀️
I was wondering if you’ve ever regretted not going ahead and getting the mockmill 200 model for the difference in money . I am going back and forth between the 100 and 200.
I love grinding mills. I watched your this video but still can’t decide which mill is good. I have a very little storage so I think Mockmill would be good for me. Is it available on Amazon? Can I get discount code from Healthy Living and apply online purchase? Please get back to me. Thanks.
How does this work for things like garbanzo beans? Also, I need my white and brown rice flour to come out Super Fine...will this do that in one milling or do I have to do several? Thank you for your help.
well...i was going to purchase a mockmill, but i decided not to after researching “stone” mills. All stone mills will produce a very small amount of “fine stone grind” into whatever is being ground.(especially on finer settings) While this is - a lot of the time - so fine that one would not notice....i still do not want to eat stone. Plus, the mock mill does not use COMPLETELY NATURAL stone. It is a synthetic made stone that uses acrylic to keep the stone “glued” together. So, not only would i be eating very small amounts of stone i would be ingesting small amounts of acrylic too 😬 bummer. I guess i will have to buy the nutrimill plus which i really didn’t want. I so wanted the mockmill 🙁
Historically, up until the last century, all milling for the last 10,000 years has been using stones. The natural stones are much more subject to wear than the Corundum stones in the Mockmill. Our stones have been formulated to shed the least amount of material. The binding is ceramic, not glue. Since the alternative to stone milling is metal burrs, which would you rather have particles of in your food? There is no escaping a tiny amount of residue from any milling process. If the Mockmill is calibrated correctly, there is a minimum of actual contact between the stones. Calculate if you will that the life of the stones extends beyond the six-year warranty, and you will see what a negligible problem this is. Sincerely, John Stimson Mockmill Support
Where to buy wheat: In the southeast of US: www.breadbeckers.com/ On east coast: www.quailcovefarms.com/ Other good options: www.clnf.org/ www.eastcoastpreppers.com/food-storage-supply-store www.azurestandard.com/shop/brand/azure-market-organics/1228
Hello, you do have a video explaining the differences between the FIVE different Mockmills you sell on your website? I'm looking at the 100 and the Mockmill 100 for $279 and the Mockmill 200 for $379. Can you explain the different between these two?
I am in the process of making that video. It is a power difference. A larger family of more committed person might want the 200. A smaller family would do well with the 100.
@@TheBiblicalNutritionist Thank you. I sure am glad that I haven’t already purchased the popcorn. 🙃 I have also read that I need to buy hard red wheat berries for flour. What’s your opinion on that? 🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️
Depends where you live. On the east coast of America there is Quail cove, in mid Virginia there is East Coast prepper, in Atlanta Bread Becker’s. Then in other areas there are coops: Search online and they should show up. Amazon can charge a high shipping.
Use other varieties of corn. Popcorn is the only variety that the instruction manual tells you not to use. I spoke with a company representative and he confirmed this.
Well, my nutrimill plus just shipped yesterday! yaaaayyyy! I am going to start binge watching your videos so as to learn proper milling techniques and recipes 👏🏼 Eventually, i want to purchase a manual mill in case power goes out. And, one day, maybe a mockmill or nutrimill harvest. (probably the mockmill since the motor is made in germany and not china)
@@TheBiblicalNutritionist no. i ordered through l’chef since i already had an account with them. I actually didn’t remember that you sold this particular one when i was ordering. I also just ordered the Wonder junior deluxe manual mill in case power goes out. Do you have a favorite manual mill? And, have you recorded a vid about enkorn wheat yet? I saw in another post you were experimenting with it.
I am not Annette but I have heard and read that the difference between the two is the 200 is faster and holds more. If I had a family of 8 and you use a lot of flour/grains then the 200 makes sense. I believe the 200 also can go longer without heating up the machine and it needing to take a break to cool down. For me (with a smaller family) the 100 would be the way to go.
I have a lot of power outages. I need one that I can manually crank when that happens there is one from Europe and one from Wyoming that I want but they are a bit pricey.
I have a Wonder Mill manual hand crank grain mill. It is easy to use and works beautifully. We even grind dry roasted peanuts, and it makes perfect peanut butter. It extracts the oils from the peanuts as well, so we don't add anything to our peanut butter.
From all of my research, that’s the one that I would love to have. Unfortunately the price and shipping prohibits me. Also they don’t have a US representative for customer service. For those reasons, I will probably wind up with the Mockmill though I much prefer the natural stones.
Save you thousands in the end? Grain isn't cheap and you don't save that much over bulk 50 lb flour. So I would say maybe hundreds of dollars maybe in 5 or so years,,,,MAYBE.
Grain has gone up in price since I started. It was .25 cents a pound when I started Yet a good loaf of bread in the store is $5. So it is still better to make our own yet the price difference has narrowed.
