MTN is good, but they have introduced fair usage policy and they do cap daily. - For the Wakanet PRO Lite 10mbps of 130,000/- after using 25Gb daily and 750Gb monthly, they cap your speed at 3mbps upto the next day to recover the normal speed - For the Wakanet PRO Standard 20mbps of 195,000/- after using 40Gb daily and 1,200Gb monthly, they cap your speed at 3mbps upto the next day to recover the normal speed - For the Wakanet PRO Premium 40mbps of 295,000/- after using 65Gb daily and 1,800Gb monthly, they cap your speed at 3mbps upto the next day to recover the normal speed This applies to the Mtn internet Business solutions as well, to the same speeds respectively.
I've been using Roke Telkom's FTTH 20Mbps for abt half a year now and i have no regrets, maybe jst some occasional downtime, bt other than tht i always hit my 20Mbps wen downloading heavy games.
@@techselectug ohh okay how about the affordable ones what are the most affordable mobile internet plans so far I can’t wait to be there also thanks ☺️
Thanks for the video chief. As of November 2023, what is your recommendation? I am considering Simba fibre since it seems to the cheapest option. I do not know whether you have had extra experience with it. Cheers! Looking forward to your response.
Hello, thanks for reaching out.. now simba is a good option. The packages are affordable and they have greatly improved on their service... More so all my friends running on simba tell me it's a good experience so I guess it goes on the list of those that are recommend.
Sprint.. number one option If not available in your area then maybe Canalbox, Simba, then if all fails MTN. I put MTN as last option because of their annoying fair usage policy that puts data daily limit on their fibre connection
1024 Mbps at 280k ugx (Qatar) Vs 60 Mbps at 350k ugx (Uganda)... Why's fibre insanely expensive here... Do the fibre cables pay tax too while in transit.
True.. the power the internet has to push start-ups in great but again it seems these internet companies just want to keep the prices too high so as to maintain high profits.
But after applying their NEW fair usage policy, the daily cap is 25GB and 750GB Monthly. Beyond this, the speed drops to 3mbps up to the next day to recover the normal speed.
What is annoying is the limitations on the other things like torrents and games.. if those limitations were removed I think the daily cap wouldn't be such an issue
Mifi wise you are safe with any of the 2 major providers that is MTN and Airtel.. they do not offer unlimited data packages on mifi though. I hear the guys at sprint are working on an LTE option hopefully that will come with unlimited data offering
dear sir, pls help me with it, I felt so desperate to play League of Legends EU server in a high latency of 200 ms with Zuku 40 MBS fibre package. Please tell me which fiber provider i can choose to improve my gameplay experience !!!!
Well I'm still doing research but so far if planning on doing online gaming MTN should not be on your list.. I'm looking into sprint and roke at the moment
After reading many pages and pages of terms and conditions I think for online gaming the best providers to go with so far are Liquid and Sprint. I'm still looking into more options
Should I buy Simba's fibre internet coz i get 15mbs @130k coz i want to download some huge games but on a vert tight budget, help me with this😢😢😢coz I also want online gaming 😊😊
Well, Simba could work. Although their coverage isn't that wide. They have to come and survey and see if you can get connection... My review on Simba will be up soon
I don't agree with Zuku's customer service, I have used it for a couple of months and the customer service is top notch, better than MTN, Simba and Liquid, they even call to just ask if everything is alright😂 anyway that's my experience with them
Well, it seems they have had a major overhaul of their customer service because by the time I recorded this video, 3 friends of mine had quit the service because of bad delivery, lots of down time and not foot customer care service
for deep villages, best you can use is one of those providers that deliver internet via satelite and VSAT. they however tend to be more expensive. i await star link availability in Uganda that might be the most viable one if it does launch.
Am using zuku and they have just blocked me from online gaming, I cant login to any online game yet internet is working fine. I contacted them and they restored it back for only 30mins. Then they have ignored me since then. They could be blocking game server ports. I might as well try sprintug or wakanet fibre.
I don't know why internet providers go and start blocking things in the background after you have paid your hard earned money for the service.. In MTN Waka net the speeds for gaming are slowed down. For example on the premium package of 40mbps games are caped at 6mbps
