As a maniacal Tzeentch lover I cannot get my eyes of your top 3! You are so confoundingly talented, deserving of archiving in the great library. May your fate never be sealed!
Visited WHW for the first time in years and your Tzeentchian horrors immediately took my eye. Had no idea you were behind that colourful insanity! Almost changed my mind from getting a Great Unclean One to a Lord of Change... 😂 Awesome minis Louise!
Seeing your Tzeentch models in Warhammer World was awesome. They look amazing on screen but in person they are something else. The inverted horror is def my favourite.
My personal favorites of your work is the cloth goblin "playset" diorama. Wasn't mentioned in your top favorites but, they were solid fun paintjobs and the calming peace bringing aspect is something I really resonate with😁
Glorious run down of such a stunning and eclectic collection. I can't choose a favourite out of those and the new goblin is just glorious. Thanks for adding another gem of joy into the world.
I love your Sphiranx. So colorful and the wings look so natural on it I had to do a double-take to my shelf at the original box art to remember it didn't initially come with those. Thanks for sharing. I was really excited to see your Blood Bowl set up too. I haven't played the game yet, but I started up a hobby project with the minis simply because I really love some of them.
Every one of those was excellent, but those final three Tzeentch models are gorgeous. The colours are so magical and the inverted colour one actually makes me feel my eyes have been tainted by chaos. Thanks for sharing 'em.
the blood bowl troll is fantastic, Blood Bowl needs more love. The rascal Town mini us superb and I love the detail on your model too but I can see why the 1st place model won, its incredible work
My heart belongs to Chaos. Your Tzeentch is the Tzeenchiest! It is hard to pick between the Sphinx and the Lord of change as they are both so cosmic. Your work always inspires.
Wow, these are amazing. The inverted scheme is mind boggling! Great jobs, thanks for sharing. I'm not sure the amount of techniques should be the only metric you should use to measure your skill. If you haven't already, consider other things like speed, community involvement, inspiration, tutorials etc. Your skills don't stop at painting!
Not gonna lie, both the #2 and #1 are absolutely smashing. The conversion on the LoC and the paintjob on the Sphirynx (or however it's spelt) are from another world, clearly. Also that inverted-color horror is a genius idea.
Great video. Love your art / painting style. The bronze medal goes to the squat surfer dude. Silver goes to the Rascal town goblin and gold goes to the Sphinx. But, to be honest, all the ones you showed are amazing.
well shit, I think both of those top two paint jobs are in my folder of favourite tzeench paint jobs that I use for inspiration for my own paint jobs. It's nice to put a face to the artwork.
I visited WHW this year for the first time and was so speechless at how stunning and beautifully painted 1 & 2 were done they are my absolute favourites I couldn't stop looking at them!! I definitely want to be able to paint as well with bright colours and Jazzy colour schemes. Your painted minis are an inspiration ✨️ 🤗
All of them are gorgeous, I love your use of colour. The negative Tzeentch demon blowed my mind, you're wonderfully nuts! And loved the toy marine, I also like to work bigger scales and that's... wow!
About that feeling of having your best work behind you... I experienced a similar thing a couple of years ago. Even worse, my paint jobs at some point became clearly shoddier than before and I didn't really know why. This discouraged me a lot, to the point that I didn't paint anything for like three years and I was on the verge of quitting the hobby completely. What happened then? Well, I had a Krell lying around and, for some reason, I had the idea to paint him only with three colours: a black base, white drybrush all over and bright red over his axe. It was just an experiment, a simple paint job, a random itch I had to scratch. And yet, I liked so much the result that it sort of revitalized my passion for painting minis. So, to anyone facing a similar problem, my suggestion is to experiment, let intrusive thoughts take the reins for a while: maybe you'll find a different way to improve. Last summer me and my friends decided to challenge ourselves by painting a 500 points army each. When we voted for the best one, to my honest surprise I ended up winning! There I understood that you can reverse the plateau, that the best model you will ever paint is always ahead of you.
Comfy video!! Such inspiring models! My fave is the pink horror. The combination of technical skill, wacky impossible concept, and the link between concept and lore is just... 👌
Your top two are actually the minis that first made me want to paint miniatures! I still haven't gotten around to starting (lack of materials, funds, and space, so sadly my two are still bare metal 😔), but looking at your work has helped keep me from getting discouraged by the setbacks.
Wow! I'm new to your channel so it was great to see a selection of your work. 🙂 I agree with yor 1st & 2nd choices but I would've put your fishing goblin higher as although he is simpler there is just something about him that is spot on 😃 (Oh and the large Rainbow Warrior too 👍)
These are all gorgeous I can't pick a single one! I miss seeing more Tzeentch elsewhere so fantastic you you are doing them and at such an amazing level. Your two big Tzeentch creatures are stunning but I do also love that big Blood Bowl troll as well . Its a bit more classic Golden Deamon style but its super cool. Great to get to see your best works nicely photographed like this! Your inverted colour one is mental!
Love them all. To a point, art is an extension of the artist…your devil-may-care humour and flamboyant love of colour are beautiful layers and highlights on each model, and yet the base coat remains in the shading as a hint of the grimness of life. All elements i see and love in your videos. Amazing art and an inspiring channel Louise!
Don’t be afraied of „plataueing“. That is a negativ way of looking at it. You mastered the art. All achievements unlocked! Now you are free to try diverent things. New technics, different ways to express your self. Creating your own models, perhsps start sculpture models etc. You are so talentet there is no border.
My favorite is definitely the Mindstealer. I first saw it at Warhammer world and that's actually how I found out who you are. If you ever want to revisit it, I would love a tutorial on how you did it :)
I do see what you mean for the top two. I think the Tzeentch Mind Stealer Phyranx is better composed, at least for broad audience appeal, specifically in terms of visual flow. The eye is drawn either to the face and its embellishments, or to the wings and feet. As you transition to examining the other visually popping areas, the eyes get a bit of a break with cooler tones and less detail. There's still a lot of small detail work to really admire, but never an overwhelming amount. Meanwhile the Converted Tzeentch Lord of Change has A LOT going on. There's still some good transition areas, but there's so much going on visually, it can be hard to get a solid read on the visual concept at first. It's of course visually stunning, and the visual overwhelm is very thematic for Tzeentch. It's definitely the kind of model I'd need to stare at, and look at from a ton of different angles to really fully appreciate. Of course, both showcase unbelievable skill and love! It's really inspiring to see what can be accomplished with a lot of time and grit ^_^
I think you could do with introducing a bit more colour into your work. Seriously though, what a lovely, vibrant collection of miniatures. Awesome stuff.
Even though the bright, colourful masterpieces are pretty much your trademark, must admit my favourite was the upscaled marine. Maybe because you took the skills from making things fantastically colourful, focussed them and applied them to that, making it look incredibly realistic.
Your style is absolutely amazing I do love your choices of colors. Now my 2 favorites are your macfarlane and your own goblin. I do agreed that your Sphinx is master painted but to me the one I mentioned feel like a full reflection of you.. if that make sense.
I do love the big conversions best, but most of all I love your color palettes. Though currently I am doing muddy grubby builds and conversions for Turnip 28 and Forbidden Psalm, I think your minis and palettes (by the way loved the tiny sock-goblin soldiers you did) could make for a great fantasy, synth, Solar/eco punk type setting. Maybe that is your next challenge? Moving out of your color-comfort zone? But honestly as long as your painting makes you happy it doesn't matter.
Could you do a video on your tzeentch army if you have one? Tzeentch are my favourite army I ever painted (and that was about a decade ago) but those last 2 are just amazing!
So I have to disagree with you here. Your fishing goblin is your number 1. The care that went into the design and the care in which you painted it would make it number one, at least for you it should. When someone puts that kind of work into something it will always have a special place in your heart and will be your number one. Great job on all your work. Wished I could paint even a quarter as good as you.
I love the mindstealer so much because it's one of those so well done that you don't realize it originally didn't come with wings. And I surely appreciate your Tzeentch stuff. Sadly however, I really think Sassy Nurgling should have won :P *edit* I forgot! I got distracted... wanted to say I really love your gobbos - you're one of my hobby heros who inspired me to do so much more with my own gobbos and I feel like they don't get enough attention (in general, not like mine specifically)
You do a lot of colorful and bright painted models. Would like to see you paint a Lord of Change with all the colors that you usually put on your minis ;)
