@@tomnyc libertarians are solid up till how do we pay for roads and general upkeep of stuff. Than it’s just them screaming “I DONT WANNA PAY TAXES!! YOU FIGURE IT OUT!!”
Taxes are only a scam from the point that politicians are paid from tax dollars. Otherwise taxes make complete sense. If you expect your community to be serviced and safe then taxes aren’t a scam.
Yeah if you like roads, parks, the military, schools, teachers, cops, clean water, fire departments, sports complexes, the radio, electricity... etc.. taxes are kind of needed
The air in chip bags is not a scam. A, The air is in there for transportation to keep chips from smashing. And 2, The chips are sold by weight, not volume. Also, keep PFT and Big T in rotation, lose Owen.
Encountered an IPad tip at an Auntie Anne's while watching this video. I can confirm that I didn't tip the guy for grabbing my pretzel bites out of their case and setting them on the counter.
I know this is a old video but it might be my favorite from this pod and idc what y’all say Big T is gold and would love him on regularly. Love this pod!
I don’t think that bathroom attendants are technically employees… I think they make an agreement with the bar that they can work in the bathroom and collect the tips they make.
The biggest letdown with the bracket is that all the good tales are usually done in the first round, then it gets diluted from there on. I still like the show but sometimes it gets tough later on
Can somebody explain this to me like I'm a 5th grader? I live in Texas. I don't pay state income taxes. Don't I pay more in other areas to make up for this? tons of toll roads, sales tax, property tax, higher overall taxes that aren't income based. Somehow, Texas has to make up this tax deficit.
yes. as well as perhaps not having some publicly funded things or not having them to the same quality of other states. but for the most part, it does just end up coming up as a higher tax elsewhere. i lived in massachusetts for a while and new hampshire was known as this crazy low tax state, without sales or income tax (super convenient for us when we were visiting up there or driving through lol) but it has ridiculous property tax. one of the highest, if not THE highest, in the country.
@@veebee-sc4tp last thing about publicly funded shit....the amount of money spent on high school football is absurd. Some high schools absolutely have better facilities than some colleges, but I believe that's all donor based.
@@veronicavaughn5923 yeah and that also seems like a very texas-centric thing, i know hs football is huge there. but then again, it applies to d1 state schools across the states so
@@jacksevert3099 thanks for the reply. I knew it had to even out somewhere. So, is it fair to say that if you live in 1 state year round, you’re probably paying the same cumulative taxes as any other state per tax bracket?
